Unfortunately, the wonderful property manager, Jen, is no longer with the company as well as the once excellent maintenance staff. The clean, safe, and family-friendly townhouses I was used to living in for a year are now under the new management of two sisters, Megan and Katie. The surrounding grounds are trashed and securing reliable parking at the residence is a nightmare now that parking infractions and passes are no longer enforced. Pets were once welcomed with eagerness and affection but are now rather "allowed" on the premises at the expense of hefty monthly fees and fines. I would strongly discourage any families with small children, young professionals, or students with regular work/class schedules rent from this company. All issues and complaints are dismissed, questions and concerns fielded, and basic communications are handled in the most unprofessional manner that I have ever experienced. I have never been spoken to or addressed by any property management staff in a cruder manner. If you are to still rent with Best University Properties, I would urge you to demand every verbal agreement, addendum, transaction, etc. in writing. Do not accept, "I will make a note of it; Don't worry" for an answer. I would also suggest that you take photos or possess video evidence of the state your apartment is in before move in and after your move out. They will not give back full security deposits. I loved that we were able to get a pet, and BUP encourages responsible pet ownership. The townhouses are decent, with lots of storage space and having a garage really has been a god-send this winter! Anytime I have needed maintenance, the office assessed the need in a timely manner and send someone out to see what was going on. There are many landlords in California, and this is one of the best ones. They are really people oriented and care about their tenants.

The townhouses on Lincoln way do not move in. The mold in my basement is destroying all of my belongings. I have mold growing from my vents in the living room all the way to the hardwood floor. We have had such a great experience with Aishel realty. Their Lawrenceville apartments are well…read moremaintained, clean, safe, and affordable. We really lucked out finding a 2 bedroom apartment in our building. We have lived here for 3 years now and love the parking, central air, laundry, gym, and secure front door. Any time we have an issue (usually our heater or air conditioner not kicking on), the maintenance person Rick fixes it immediately. Rick is the best!! He is so nice and patient, and really cares about the tenants. All of the maintenance guys are friendly and always say hi when passing by. Our refrigerator broke last year, and they ordered a new one and installed it just a few days later. I love that the management is responsive if you have an issue. Some apartments will never get back to you, but we have never had that problem here. We originally rented our apartment from Jeff, but the new manager is Nina. She is great too. The staircases and laundry room are cleaned every week, and there are nice flowers and potted plants out front in the Summer. I have no complaints about these apartments! It's also easy to pay rent on their online portal.
