He does not make informed diagnosis through MRI, he writes half hearted notes on MRI requests and the insurance either rejects it or requests him to connect with them, he and his office sit on those peer to peer consultations. The office person says "oh we give the Doctor's cell number but they don't call". If the insurance company is making a request to have peer consultation the doctor should have the responsibility to pick up the phone and make a case for the patien's MRI. He is terrible at following through. When I contacted the insurance company, they said the doctor does not return their calls for peer to peer consultations. I would advise not to see this doctor if you are in pain. It's best to find a professional who can focus on your care.

He went above and beyond to find the cause of my pain, while also referring me out for treatments and second opinions. Since after reaching out multiple times via phone and email with no success my fiancé had to go in to the front desk (staff was blasting music, didnt notice her because they were staring at their phones, and had a dog on their lap, looked like a poodle.) At some point my insurance bill was sent to a company I've never even heard of, they have my actual insurance on file. This doesn't make any sense because they have submitted prior claims to the correct company in the past. I do not know who handles their scheduling for appointments, but he needs to be replaced immediately. I called on a Monday, and apparently, their system was down. He told me he'd call back in 30 minutes to an hour. By Thursday, I still hadn't received a call back, so I called again. Same man picked up the phone and (again) he was very difficult to hear and understand. When I asked him to repeat his question, he immediately became very condescending and began speaking to me in a very slow and rude tone. After I provided all of my insurance information, he refused to make me an appointment because of "a past due balance." We have never been to this office, we have no past-due balance with any provider, and our insurance is paid in full. He adamantly refused to make an the appointment until he "spoke with" his supervisor. He said he'd call me back in 15 minutes... Here we are HOURS later and no call. I called my insurance, and they saw no issue and were very confused about why we could not make an appointment. I went ahead and EASILY made an appointment with UCSF.

In the middle of the night I woke up with severe pain in my left leg. I went to Eisenhower ER…read more Turns out, I had a blood clot in my Popiteal Artery due to an aneurysm in my left leg. Dr Angle did a angioplasty to disolve the blood clot. I had no blood flow to my foot. The next day the blood clot was gone. Dr Angle proceeded to place a stent into my artery where the aneurysm was and restored blood flow to my leg and foot. If it wasn't for Dr Angle I could have lost my leg up to my knee. He continued to follow up with my condition for months after to check my pulse in my foot and the flow of blood to my leg and foot. Dr. Niren Angle is the best in his field. It has been about 10 years now and my leg is like it never happened. If you are ever fortunate to have him as your Doctor you are in very good hands. He is also a great guy and easy to talk to. He answers all your questions thoroughly. I can't say enough about how special he is!!!
