Be prepared to leave a message and don't expect a timely call back. The straw that finally broke the camel's back, as they say, occurred earlier this month. I had an appointment for the 8th for bloodwork and a follow-up scheduled on the 15th. On the 2nd I called to ask if I could give blood the morning of the 3rd because it worked out for my schedule better. I would have still gone in on the 8th if this could not be accommodated. I got a call on the 3rd at about 8:30 saying, come in. This is fasted blood so I said, nope, didn't hear from you so I drank coffee. At that time the only person that apparently works in the office - her words as far support staff - told me that they needed to reschedule my appointment for the 8th. I said when were you going to let me know that. From my perspective, I happened to call in and now you're telling me this info. I said that won't work for me and at that time they could have sent me to Quest but did not. In fact, I have not heard from the office since and that includes ignoring emails and phone messages on their end. At this point I am just trying to get final scrip refills to tide me over until I see my new doctor. Although the staff is horrendous, I absolutely think Hailstone is a great doctor as is George but I refuse to deal with the incompetency of the staff any longer. I can get my yearly physicals elsewhere. If you are someone that needs genuine care and need to get ahold of the office and actually speak to someone in a timely manner, like God forbid you are actually sick, you will probably die waiting for a response! As someone who has worked in upper management, I recognize that behavior like this usually reflects the culture set by leadership. When I later spoke with the manager, Jaime, she was dismissive and failed to offer even a basic apology for her team's behavior. Her tone and lack of concern made it clear why the staff act the way they do it's tolerated. I also don't understand why patients aren't being contacted by doctors to discuss their medical results. In my father's case, a CNA or staff (not a doctor) called to review his test results, and the interaction was abrupt and confusing. It's unacceptable that a patient dealing with an issue would be treated with so little care or professionalism. Overall, I do not recommend this facility. The reception, medical assistants, and management are disorganized, rude, and seem more interested in proving a point than supporting patients. This office needs serious improvement in professionalism, communication, and basic respect for the people they serve.
