My review is base solely off of the fact that I was in need of a new internal medicine doctor. I…read morechecked with my insurance and she was a provider that was in network in my area. I was specifically looking for a female doctor so I was very excited. I gave the office a call and it went straight to voice mail. Waited a day and called again. This time a friendly woman answered the phone. She took a majority of my information over the phone. She let me know that there were no appointments for new patients for a few months. I said okay and she let me know that some one would call me back to make the actual appointment. Well, by the time I received a call back it had been nearly 3 week and I had already been seen by another provider. I understand offices are busy but there was no sense of urgency for new patients here.

My mom was a new patient of Dr. Betty Yao and had a very disappointing experience before even…read moreseeing the doctor. After multiple calls, she finally got an appointment scheduled for Thursday at 10:00 AM. She arrived early at 9:45 AM and checked in. She patiently waited for more than half an hour. Since she had an Uber scheduled for 11:00 AM pick up, she politely asked the front desk how long the wait would be. Instead of giving an estimate or trying to help, the front desk immediately told her, "Then you won't be able to see the doctor today," and asked her to reschedule. When my mom asked how much time she was expected to reserve for a routine appointment, the answer was "2 hours." Seriously? What is the point of making an appointment if patients are expected to wait two hours for what is usually a very short visit? And for a new elderly patient relying on scheduled transportation, the response felt dismissive and incredibly unprofessional. Long waits can happen, but the attitude and lack of respect for patients' time were unacceptable. If your office routinely runs this far behind, patients should at least be informed ahead of time instead of being turned away after arriving on time. Very disappointing first impression.

I found this place on a recommendation of a friend. I have been through quite a few sub par doctors…read morein the past since being here in Vegas. A good doctor is hard to find. When I first started going here I saw a PA named Racheal and she provided excellent physician services. That lasted for about two years and then she left. Then I started seeing Amon Denzel NP-C and he was an excellent physician that was only there for about a year. Then I started seeing Jaqueline Butler NP-C who was also a great physician. That lasted a year or maybe two. Now I have a new physician, Karen AIog FNP-C. If the need arises, the appointment can be turned into a telephone doctor visit. New physicians won't refill prescriptions without seeing you first. Whether it's in person or over the phone. I had to do an emergency phone call appointment with doctor Renu Mahajan because I was running out of prescriptions and they hadn't found a replacement physician yet. The advantage of the nurse practitioners is that they tend to do the late shift appointments. I can get an appointment for around the 4pm time frame. This saves me from having to take a vacation day for an appointment. The staff so far has been helpful and friendly when someone answers the phone. The receptionist and medical assistants are good at getting questions answered and returning phone calls. Recently, I had an appointment with the FNP-C and that appointment got cancelled. My appointment was rescheduled for almost a month later. The problem was that I was getting ready to run out of my blood pressure medication three weeks before my appointment. I called the medical assistant to help solve this problem. I really didn't want to stop my blood pressure medications abruptly. I asked the medical assistant if I could have the doctor refill my prescriptions. I was told that the doctor wanted to do an appointment in order to refill my prescriptions. So, I asked if I could do an emergency appointment with the doctor over the phone and the medical assistant said that the earliest appointment available was July 1st. Well July 1st was the same situation as previously mentioned with the nurse practitioner. I canceled my appointment for July 1st. Then I went to the pharmacy to get an emergency three day prescription of a blood pressure medication that I had just ran out of. Needless to say, the changing of practitioners over the many years has been frustrating and annoying. I don't like having to find another practice, but I also don't like running out of blood pressure medications that I need.

While Dr. Mahajan herself is a wonderful physician -- pleasant, knowledgeable, and kind -- her…read morefront office staff consistently undermines the quality of care she provides. I've had multiple frustrating experiences due to incompetent administrative handling. * In early October, I showed up for my annual exam after receiving appointment reminders from the office, only to be told I was "a few days shy" of a full year and had to reschedule because insurance wouldn't cover it. That's something staff should verify when scheduling -- not something the patient should catch on arrival. * Most recently, I scheduled blood work and called over a week in advance to confirm the lab order was faxed to Quest. I even received a voicemail confirming it was sent. When I arrived at the lab, there was no order on file. I called the office from the lab, and the staff moved painfully slowly, showing no sense of urgency. They offered to fax it again, but by then I'd lost my appointment slot -- after fasting and rearranging my workday. Dr. Mahajan deserves competent support staff who match her professionalism, but until that happens, I cannot recommend this office. Patients deserve reliability and respect for their time.

After a lifetime of appointments with several different Western trained medical doctors, I decided…read moreto take a more holistic approach and discovered Dr. Thompson, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Desert Oasis Clinic in Las Vegas Nevada. After living with a life-long condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia, an uncurable disease that was now beginning to rapidly deplete my immune system, leaving several more problems now alerting my primary doctor, who only prescribed medicine that would eventually decay my teeth or wanted to send me to a specialist with the good possibility of even more problems. I was at the point of losing all hope for any future. Dr. Thompson actually took the time and carefully put me on a path of healing, uncovering deficiencies in my system in many areas that no one has ever addressed. And after that first appointment with Dr. Thompson in February, I quickly found myself within days knowing I was on the right path with these natural remedies, things that gave me back my energy and above all, THE HOPE for a long and pain-free future. Dr. Thompson explains the "why" behind every remedy he prescribes in ways that are just plain, common sense. And he spends the time needed to really hear you out and answer those questions that others have often just left behind. I have never met a doctor who has an entire plan for your overall health, besides asking if you have seen a dentist or an eye doctor. He explained how everything is connected and follows up and makes those adjustments that you'll soon be needing along the healing journey that, for me, only Dr. Thompson and his staff have provided. It's May 20th, and I just went to see my primary doctor yesterday to get my blood pressure medicine reduced from 5mg to 2.5mg a day. Now that's the hope I've needed and spent a lot of time searching the medical field to find. Thank you, Desert Oasis Clinic, you possibly saved my life.

They screwed up on my blood orders and wanted to blame me for the situation . Sorry it's on you !! I was told by Cheryl they would reimburse me for their mistake .. this was over a week ago !! I am still waiting !! Stay far far away from this clinic !! It's all about the money !!
