I've been a customer with scissors since the day they opened their doors back in 2012 and a lot has changed, it's crazy how much it has, but positive changes. First, the prices aren't the same as I previously wrote on here. Men can expect to pay up to $25 on their service depending on what they get. I.e...I usually cut my hair with a 2 all around with a taper, and shave around the tapered areas so I have a clean appearance of a shave. I don't shave my face ever because that's an additional cost I don't need. My cut comes up to $14.00 with my decision of tipping, in this case $16.00. I've seen little boys pay for basic cuts and tapers for around $8-11.00. Again, it all depends on the services you request. The establishment is very clean, modern looking and has a welcoming appearance to the customer. The unisex restroom is also very clean. In the back of the salon you'll see waiting chairs, a mini nail saloon booth, an eyebrow station and a make-up station. Any male or female looking for those services should call the establishment in advance to make sure that the designated trained staff are there for those services because I don't see them in there when I go for my cuts on Sundays. In addition, there's a barber section for men with two barbers available throughout the week. Again, you should call to make sure the barber is available and ready for services. I once overheard and witnessed a girl pay $140 for blond tips, nail painted, make up, and her hair styled for her quince. I thought she paid good deal for all those services! Overall, I don't think you'll regret coming her for exceptional services. Speak to owner, Marlene, if you're not satisfied with your service or cut. She'll talk to you and listen so you don't leave unsatisfied with your service. I once had the new girl in training cut my hair because I was in a rush and I thought she didn't do a great job for such a basic cut. Marlene apologized on that girl, promised to send her for more training, and gave me a 50% discount on my next cut. Wonderful little place with a lot of options for services! P.S...Call to make an appointment or call to check in on how busy the wait is because I've done the mistake of walking into a group of girl's beauty day-out and waited up to 2 hours for a basic cut!! -Nails -Barber -Eyebrows -Make up -Salon and - Styling ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This barber shop/ beauty salon is awesome! The two ladies who cut hair in there are very generous and respectful. Somethings I like about this salon is that it is unisex so both men and women can cut their hair and their prices are awesome.! Current Prices: Men's and Boys haircut is 8.00$ and UP (depending on the haircut) Women's hair cut start at 10.00$ and UP (the price will increase depending if you add more service such as highlights, hair dying and etc..) They also have specials for boys under age 12 where they will cut their hair for $7. ( note: you may have to call to insure the special is available on the certain day you visit.) Usually when I get my hair cut it is around $8.00 but I also give a two dollar tip because they do a great job ! Overall this barber shop/beauty salon is very clean and professional. Try this place you'll love it, also the ladies in here speak both english and spanish. One last thing! No appointment is necessary, just walk right in.
