Brittney greeted me and did the check in process, then I got my hair service done with Taylor- she's great, especially with blonde hair. The products they use here are vegan and smell great, forgot the name of the line, though. I liked the personalized service at Layla, and my hair looks great. Their prices are a bit higher than I was expecting but there is a first-time client discount of 10%. Layla is more than a salon though, they're very involved in the community with local events, fundraisers, and charities, such as St. Baldricks. I used to go this salon for a long time until they slowly started making changes. I originally had Angie and she was amazing throughout my hair journey. She then stopped doing hair and stuck to doing makeup only. I was happy for her but also sad because she was the only one I was super comfortable with. My first and last appointment I had with Carley and she was alright did my balayage nice but the cost is what got to me. I paid a total of 529.00. Not only that I made the mistake to book my appointment for next time which was a total to just keep the appointment 50.00 when I shouldn't have. As I looked at the receipt for why my whole balayage and hair cut was $529.00 I noticed they charged me for baby lights and a overall color which is strange because the blonde I have in my hair was not overall. Those two alone was a total of 400.00! Mind you I do not have long hair I have a bit past my shoulder length. I later found out Angie and Carley don't work at the salon anymore and they both started their own business which I found rather odd too since they both have been with Layla for a long time. Layla used to be my place but after the amount they charged me I decided to never go back again. I've since have had my hair done with what I have now and they are not charging me the amount Layla has. I used to recommend this salon to all my friends now I don't. read more
