Wow! I loved the whole experience! I went to a chain location that I frequented the day before. I always request a certain stylist and even though I was checked in for over 20 minutes and next, she skipped right over me and helped a gentleman that had just walked in. Something told me I should just leave so I did. I checked Yelp looking for hair salons but more important than the reviews were the cuts. At the chain location, I would constantly be talked out of going shorter or getting layers because it just would not look good. So I'd end up with a basic trim. I really wanted a style so as I am checking and comparing pricing, Hair Experts Plus comes up. Yelp reviews say their response time is good so I decide to ask about pricing for a hair cut. I honestly almost just decided to try JCPenny's again when I noticed the response to my email. There was response back and forth until I got to a place where I was too busy to respond. They gave me price that included blow dry and 3 times I could pick for next day appointment. I emailed back quite late giving the time that would work and got a response back in the morning that I was booked. Very easy and quick. The outside may not look like much but as with people the inside is what counts. I was greeted by all three stylists when I arrived. Everyone was very friendly. The place is quaint, clean, had comfortable seats, and nice decor. I met my stylist Chloe and she was incredible. What a sweetheart! She was super comfortable to talk to and I probably could have stayed and talked to her for days. She was very personable and friendly. I love that she asked me what temperature I liked my water. If I get a shampoo or rinse, most of the time I get asked if the water temperature is okay but she asked before she started. That small difference in wording really made a difference to me. She asked me how I wanted my hair cut and proceeded to cut it exactly how I wanted. Not how she wanted-although I definitely gave her creative permission in where to start my layers in the back and asked for her expertise on length. My hair came out exactly how I visioned it. I can't tell you how long it's been that I have walked out of a salon genuinely happy and not second guessing what I just did. Chloe blow dried my hair to perfection and I felt amazing. My haircut was amazing. I have to say also that I love that they were playing worship music. They told me they all go to the same church. They also were supporting local businesses and had Meal Works LV's card who happens to be great for meal prep and is a Christian company also. Honestly this just made me love this salon even more. After 14 years in Las Vegas, I have finally found my all time favorite. read more

Cesar, owner of "Hair Experts Plus", charged me $390.00 cash to damage my hair with bleach and to hack my hair with thinning shears. The attached picture says it all. I told Cesar beforehand that I wanted a hairstyle with subtle layers with face framing; not to process my roots as I was letting them grow out; and to deposit an ashy darker tone color to the rest of my hair. I repeatedly told Cesar not to use any bleach on my hair. Cesar was initially courteous. He led me to believe that he listened to me; and he reassured me that he was an expert with color and hairstyles. To my dismay, Cesar used thinning shears to thin out my entire hair. And he had his front desk clerk help him with applying the foils on my hair. After a while of having the foils on my hair, I told Cesar that I felt a burning sensation on my scalp. Unbeknownst to me, Cesar told me that the bleach is doing what it is supposed to be doing. Cesar took it upon himself not to listen to anything that I had asked for. Cesar was fixated in bleaching my entire hair and roots. He also chose not deposit the color that I had asked for. When I questioned Cesar about the bleach, he informed me that I looked better with blonde hair; and that I would look like a skunk if he had dyed my hair grey. However, I never asked for grey nor, a skunk hair color. To top things off, when it was time for rinsing, both Cesar and his front desk clerk were struggling to untangle my hair with a comb under the running water. My scalp was also burning and hurting from the tugging. Cesar proceeded to blow dry my hair then damage it even more with a curling iron. The outcome was a disaster. My hair ended up damaged, blotchy brassy yellow and my scalp was burnt. After Cesar had me pay him, he made no effort to send me home with any hair products nor scalp treatment. He just kept telling me how good I looked with blonde hair. I reached out to Cesar the day after to inform him that my scalp was still hurting; and if he can recommend a treatment. I also asked Cesar to be considerate of what he did. Not, only did he not do what I asked for. But, he also damaged my hair and burnt my scalp. I asked Cesar to consider refunding me in full. Or, at minimal, to refund me half of what I paid him. Cesar responded by telling me that if I lived closer to him that he would cut off a piece of aloe vera from his backyard and put it on my scalp for healing. He wouldn't acknowledge his wrong doing. Nor, did he apologize. I never heard back from Cesar. Cesar had every opportunity to tell me beforehand that he didn't have the competence skill level to do what I had asked for. Rather, Cesar chose to con me; damage my hair; take my money; and not stand by the integrity of his business. read more

Awesome service! Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Every client I saw leaving the salon had beautiful hair, which really speaks to the talent of the stylists. The salon itself is gorgeous, clean, and has such a great atmosphere. I'll definitely be bringing my daughter back! I wish I could get my own hair done here too, but my hair is so thick it would probably cost me an arm and a leg... maybe both arms and both legs! I stopped by Hair Experts Plus because I needed a trim, but didn't have days to wait for an appointment. I'm so glad that I found them!! I called them and they were able to fit me in the same day. I asked for long layers, a trim, and face framing pieces. I got what I asked for and more. I really wanted a conditioning treatment and they were able to give me an Olaplex treatment. It didn't take too long and gave me the soft results I was looking for. I got lucky because I worked with a woman that was on her first week at Hair Experts, but it seems like she has a lot of experience with hair in general. I came here to get my hair trimmed up along with some layers and curtain bangs. I would assume this is a pretty simple request but I couldn't be more unhappy with how it turned out. As you can see in the photos it looks like he just chopped the bangs straight across, they are not blended at all and to make it even worse..uneven. As soon as I realized how bad it looked, I took these photos and sent them to the salon requesting a refund..because of course now I am going to have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. They said, "No refund..you have to come back here to get it fixed and if we mess it up again then we will give you a refund." Excuse me but where is the logic in that? I'm not going back to the same person that messed up a simple cut the first time..hair doesn't grow back overnight. Clearly they are more concerned about money then customer satisfaction. They can keep the money....I would rather pay double then go back to this salon. It's one thing to get a bad haircut but I lose a lot of respect for a business when the front desk customer service doesn't even make an effort to make things right. read more
