Lazy Daisy is truly a gem! I've been on a weekly coffee crawl for a few months now and absolutely love that Columbia is becoming a great coffee shop destination! Lazy Daisy has some beautiful charm to it and the coffee is out of this world. They use Methodical beans so it's relatively locally sourced and it makes a world of difference. They also have their own proprietary blend which is cool to see. I had the Seasonal Lucky Latte and it had a marshmallow cold foam...it was absolutely delicious! The team here really feels like family the way they interact with each other and with the customers. I'll definitely be adding them to the rotation! read more

Lazy Daisy was a cute coffee shop. I just don't know if I was their target demographic per se. There was nothing wrong with it; it just wasn't really my preferred kind of coffee shop. It was very clean and had a sleek look to it, but I personally prefer a more "divey" and laid-back experience. However, if you're looking for a more upscale coffee experience, Lazy Daisy is the perfect shop for you! I have been dying to come here for a while but everytime I think about going it's a Sunday, a day they are closed. I loved the holiday decor, everything was cozy and merry and bright. The baristas working the counter were very kind and patient with me wrangling a hyper active 2 year old boy. He loved their blueberry muffin, by the way! I enjoyed the teddy bear latte, definitely sweeter than my typical order but I panic ordered without looking over the menu thoroughly. I would probably branch out and try something different next time. Definitely lots of space indoors for work, reading, or group hangs. What a cute and unexpected find. I've been in this plaza many times and never realized this coffee shop was here. The aesthetics here are to die for and all the pastries look freshly made which being somebody who loves finding unique and local coffee shops this is always the cherry on top- homemade anything is superior. Which speaking off they even make their syrups in house. There are plenty of tables both inside and outside, plenty of drinks and food to choose from and service was also top tier. Being a barista myself service always makes the experience that much better. This is less than a 10 minute drive from my house for me. First visit here and it was definitely packed. There isn't really a good place to wait for your drink without being in the way of others if there's a crowd. The customer service was good. I ordered two iced lattes : The Golden Flower and Matcha with Vanilla. Both were good. I ended up removing the ice so I could drink the Golden Flower later and it was just as good as it was when I first tasted it--creamy, not too sweet. The vibe inside was aesthetically pleasing. Tried them for the first time on Friday. Walked in and the decor was so nice! It was spacious enough and had plenty tables to sit in. The staff was so kind and the customer service was excellent. I didn't even wait 30 seconds for my order! I ordered a 12oz drip coffee with oat milk and sugar free vanilla ( which I appreciated) and hazelnut. The price point was okay $3.25 Even though my coffee wasn't sweet at all, they offered to fix or make it better is I needed it so I didn't put that on them. Overall I liked my experience. This new coffee shop is way too busy which is a good thing for the business. Breakfast sandwiches were limited this morning, got a ham and cheese croissant which was good but cold in the middle. The daisy was a delicious coffee to go with my sandwich this morning. It's a very sweet drink so they made a tad less sweeter which was very nice. Loved the decor and the variety of drink options. They have decaf espresso which is a nice plus. Got the cinnamon roll latte and the daisy which were good but SUPER sweet. Probably won't be back in Columbia SC anytime soon but if we were I'd ask for like half sweetness if that unless you want a sugar rush. read more

This was my third time trying to come and try their coffee because the first time , I came after they closed and completely forgot coffee shops usually close early , and the second time, they were closed for a private event. I finally got to come with my daughter and I ordered an iced latte with heavy cream and sf vanilla and sf caramel syrup. My daughter got a piece of their lemon cake. I didn't try the cake but it was soft and moist. It smelled delicious as well. She also got some fruit snacks as well because they were sitting at the counter lol. I got a 16 oz and altogether I paid about $11. The coffee was so good , it still had a sweetness to it even though it was sugar free. It is a decent amount of coffee for the price compared to a tall cold brew at Starbucks. If it was closer , I'd definitely come more often, but if I'm in the forest acres area, I'll more than likely always stop for coffee if they are open. It's super cute inside. The only thing is, they seem to be crowded a lot and they don't have music playing and have high ceilings, so all you can hear is everyone's conversations and it's just a lot of people talking. I personally don't think it would be a "quiet" place to work and drink coffee even though I did see a couple people on laptops, but still a great place to come with friends . read more
