I love it when a coffee shop has a cortado on the menu and even though Lazy Heron served mine in a paper cup instead of a ceramic or glass one, it was still excellent. Rich coffee flavor and if you're still drinking latte or cappuccino, I suggest you give a cortado a try. I spent about three hours here this morning, drinking coffee, charging my laptops and writing Yelp reviews. This is a neat coffee house with lots of seating, free wifi and a welcoming vibe. Jennifer and Anna were so sweet and I was super appreciative of Jennifer telling me about they're keto drink. Some people may love that, but Lordy it was sweet and bitter to me. I never plan to have that much fake sweetner or sweetness at all but it wasn't drink able to me. Being keto for 4 years, a good iced coffee is usually fine but I knew I couldn't Do that it was almost hoppy with how much burnt coffee it tasted like. But on the other side Jennifer and Anna were so sweet and kind, and I would go back to try tea because of the welcoming arms and sweet energy read more

Loved this place! Happened upon it as my partner and I drove through town after camping at Ink's Lake, and we really enjoyed it. They have great coffee and smoothies, and the staff seem to really know their stuff and like working here. The coffees even come with a reusable koozie Would definitely recommend stopping by! I love this place. So sweet to my young child, and they follow social distancing / mask wearing. The coffee is also outstanding, and we particularly enjoy their "granola Rice Krispie treats" as a dessert. Highly recommended! read more

Baristas were so sweet, gave me a free drink for my birthday. Coffee was delicious, not super sweet (which i prefer) and all four of my friends with me loved the drinks they got. I got an iced peppermint mocha and it was delicious! Decent pricing and very clean interior with a nice outdoor patio. read more

I stayed in Kingsland for three nights, and all three mornings required a stop at Lazy Heron. The coffees are absolutely delicious and the staff is super friendly. With its adorable interior and inviting tables, this is the kind of place that makes you want to sit and linger over a cup, but alas, hiking in the nearby state parks was calling for me. An added bonus is their commitment to using all natural sweeteners (like actual maple syrup!) and avoiding products with corn syrup. Highly recommend this coffee shop for anyone in the area!! read more

I was in the area for the weekend and wanted to grab a quick coffee with my friends for the ride back. It took a very long time to get the coffee I ordered (15+ minutes). Also, the drink I got (iced Cinn-a-bomb) was not good. Tasted how meat does when burnt on a grill. I tried to force myself to finish it but wasn't able to. That's alright though, my friends were satisfied with their drinks, so I know I was just unlucky. In any case, the staff was very friendly, personable, and attentive, albeit very busy and constantly running around to make the coffee AND serve it. If it weren't for the bad coffee experience I would come back. read more

Heard about this place from my friends and decided to go through the drive through. The parking was ample and the drive through was relatively quick! I had an iced Joiful (spell check needed) and it was DELICIOUS! I asked the barista for her opinion because I was deciding between two drinks and she was nice about it. They do the iPad flip for a tip but it was decently priced. They were out of all breakfast food which I wanted to try but oh well! Will be back again :) read more

If you're into supporting local small businesses and prefer to skip the overrated and over marketed chains this is one that you have to stop at. The employees know how to make the "world best cup of coffee" as Buddy the Elf would say. Their flat white is smooth and I've never been unsatisfied with the flavor. When a coffee shop also has affogato I'm a sucker and can't pass up the opportunity to have one. We come here almost every morning we are in town and have never been disappointed. We love Lazy Heron! Friendly staff, good drinks and good (the cinnamon roll was so yummy!) very clean and relaxed, upscale atmosphere. Good wifi, good amount of tables, and lots of plugs for charging your laptop. They offer a variety of games and puzzles to play. We will definitely be back. read more

We are so impressed with this cute place! We are bona fide coffee snobs due to having a roaster in the family. The espresso shots were well roasted and smooth, not burned like a lot of places pass off as quality shots. Cold brew isn't terribly strong, but has a good flavor profile. The husband and I split a French toast latte and I highly recommend ordering it as a splurge. Super friendly baristas made for a great experience! read more

My friends and i celebrated our friend's birthday at the Lazy Heron yesterday. The experience was magical. They reserved the conference room for us, which is a very nicely decorated room Circular table and comfy chairs. We were seeved our coffee! But the highlight was when one of the baristas came over and sang Happy birthday to our friend in Italian! Beautiful place, great service! read more
