Took my car here to be serviced for inspection, emissions and an oil change. I provided an oil filter and ring. When they called and told me my car was done, I paid, and picked up my keys. I saw the untouched brand new oil filter on the passenger seat. (Tape seal was still intact.) Unfortunately I was in a rush and had to get to work. I get my oil changed every 4,000 miles due to knowing that Subarus burn oil when they're higher mileage. Unfortunately, as I was coming home on 10/28, my oil light flicked on. Come to find out, my oil is almost completely burned off. I will never be taking my car here again. I will be asking for a refund. This was absolutely disgusting practice. And now I have to go back to Subaru and ask them to make sure nothing is damaged due to LB Smith Ford Lincoln's negligence. read more

5 star service at this place! I was traveling through the area on a cross country trip and there were able to do a full wheel alignment without having to make an appointment. But it gets even better: They discovered some shoddy factory recall work a previous Ford dealer had just done on this vehicle 2 weeks earlier. The service manager pointed out the mistake and they fixed it. I'm grateful they found the loose fittings of the rear wheel axle linkage that Rockland Ford forgot to tighten in Maine. I called and spoke to a sales representative named Tracy/Tracey (male) for approximately 2 minutes, and was hung up on. He was advising I should come in, but I stated I'm really pressed for time, so I can't just drop everything and come in. I continued to ask questions to hopefully get some more information regarding the selection I was building and if he said the right things, I may have maneuvered some things around. It takes a lot to sell me on a product, but once I have my mind set on something, I go for it. Tracy/Tracey didn't allow me to complete my sentence before I was RUDELY hung up on. I heard the phone click a few times as if it was a physical landline connecting to a receiver, so I know it wasn't an accident. Granted, I may have not bought a car today, but I guarantee that I will not purchase one from LB Smith Ford thanks to Tracy. I looked online for a decent place to do an affordable oil change and found LB Smith. Looking at their site, they offered the ability to set up a service appointment, showing a service called "The Works" oil change for $25.87. I set up the appointment and there was a reminder to print out a THE WORKS coupon, saying to bring it to the appointment. I printed it, although the coupon didn't specify any particular price or discount. My wife dropped off the car and handed them the coupon, I came after work to pick it up and pay. On the ride home, I looked at the charges and came to find they charged me $50! Looking over the breakdown, there was a $30 charge for "The Works" and a $20 charge for unspecified parts. No discount for the "coupon" and no charge, even before tax equaling the $25.87 their website stated. I called in a few minutes later and explained the situation, simply looking for an explanation, that maybe I misunderstood something. For $50, I could have gotten 2 oil changes form an on-demand oil change place... AND lunch at Wendy's. It just seemed a bit excessive. The guy I spoke to was nice enough, but explained that the coupon (even though it was labeled as a coupon and the website said to print and bring it in) wasn't actually a coupon, but an advertisement for The Works. He then said he had no idea about The Works being $25.87. I directed him where to go on the website, where customers can schedule appointments and he says "oooh, I see. Yeah, I don't know why that says that". He then offers to have a manager call me back because he can't really do anything and I say that is fine. This was last Friday and no one has called me back yet, 6 days later. Not that I expect a discount or anything like that... but checking the website again today, it still shows $25.87 for The Works and I think it's unacceptable that the actual charge is $50. Like I said, for that, I could have gotten 2 oil changes elsewhere. The workmanship seems good enough, but their customer service is obviously subpar. They will not get my business again. read more

Don't buy a used vehicle here. They promise the world while you're vehicle is under their so called used vehicle warranty. But they only bandaid repair your vehicle they sell you with a known issue until goes out of warranty. Sold me a used truck. F150. Knew it had trans issues. ( know this cause I found previous owner who traded for a trans issue they couldn't fix) I bought it. Immediately took back. They had truck 3 times in excess of 72 days put 1200 miles on it doing a so called test drive. Repair. That never corrected the problem. I asked to have them trade me out of truck they sold me as a problem. They declined. Said I'm upside down. Upside down I just bought truck. I asked to review numbers an was told that I was stealing truck an now 90 days later I'm upside down. And still broken. Stay clear of this rip off dealer. Crooks and never return calls or emails. The general manager never called me. The owner never called me or email. Was told I'm out of warranty so sol. Not only do I have trans issue. I've done major repairs to brakes. Ac. Coils. Now airbag lite on. Lb Smith you guys should be so proud to be among he most elite of crooked dealer association. Congratulations!!! read more

Thought I would update my review here because I've been back a number of times. Their customer service is pretty impeccable. The service department go to guy, Brian, is always well-mannered and apologizes for anything possible. They will try to fit you in even if you haven't made an appointment for regular maintenance things. The prices are also the same or cheaper than the Monroe or Meineke's around the block. Oil change was 18-20 bucks and fixing my flat was less than Pepboys- $15. I will continue to go to them for servicing and until they give me a reason not to, I expect great quality work and service from them. read more

I would have given no star but this web site forces you to at least give one star. So I am giving one star in protest. I purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion in Oct 2014. So it will 4 yrs this Oct 2018. I have another year to pay it off. I have have 2 recalls in 3.5 yrs. I get and oil change and rotate my tires every 3k miles. This recall was for a defective bolt in the steering wheel. While I was dropping the car off for the recall work. I told them the engine light was going on and off for about a month. Get a call that there are several sensors defective. Long story short Not covered by extended warranty and would be over 600.00. So I decided I am not paying to get manufactured defect that are no good. If Ford cannot keep a 40k car on the road for 3.5 yrs not a quality vehicle. So I am terrified to drive a defective car. I am now getting the car fixed by private garage for 1/2 the price and trading it in on a Chevy, Hopefully I will have better luck with a Chevy maybe I can get it to last at least til it's pd off. It's not about the money cause I am going to loss a boat load because I have to pay off the year left plus dwnpymt on new car. It's about a Ford that cant go the distance for the length of my loan. He also called twice to follow up with my search because what I wanted was very specific, and wanted to check in and notify my that they got something in that was close to what I was looking for. I purchased a Lincoln from a dealership outside of the area a little less than a year ago, but decided to visit LB Smith for my service appointments. At the time of the purchase, I was still under warranty, and received great service from anyone in the service department that I worked with. I may have had a few complaints (but extremely minor) until my most recent visit on 2/6/2017. When your dealership makes an error, and charges me $0 for "The Works" because it was included in my maintenance package up to 50,000 miles, even though at the time when I was picking my vehicle up I told the cashier that I wasn't expecting a free service appointment, only to have a service advisor call me back on the phone today and ask me if I can pay for it. Let's keep in mind, one the cost of that oil change to the dealership, is pennies on the dollar, and at the time when I left yesterday (even tho I thought it was a mistake), said to my wife, "I will continue to go back to LB Smith for service appointments, because they take care of me". Shortly before writing this review, I received a phone call from the service department, asking me if I could pay for that oil change, because they made an error in the paperwork and I wasn't to receive an oil change as part of the maintenance package because my vehicle had more than 50,000 miles. Now I am not complaining about having to pay for an oil change that I had ALL intentions of paying for prior to my visit, but to have the audacity to call me and ask me to pay for it a day later due to an error on your part is unprofessional, a horrible business practice, and just down right shameful. As of the time of this post, I will NEVER, return to that dealership, even if my vehicle is broke down at the Rite Aid across the street, I will much rather pay for the tow truck to take me to Hershey or any other dealership before I ever give another dime to LB Smith. If I could give this place a ZERO or negative 5 for shady business practices, I most certainly would. This for sure isn't the end of what you will hear from me LB Smith, I will be in later this week when I get around to it to pay for it, but you can be certain that I am going to want to talk to the General Manager or someone that has some weight to pull in the dealership. read more

Myself and family members have had vehicles serviced here on several occasions, and every single time they have returned our vehicles with a new problem created by the repair of the original problem. Their parts department is not do yourself friendly. They do not stand brhind their Ford parts. Bought a high dolllar part three weeks ago and the recondition part that they sell was defective it took me three weeks to get back to them due to the fact that I go to college out of state. The parts manager was total nothing short of a smart mouth and very unfriendly. Would not replace thart. Was told they could not replace the part without Ford Motor company's ok and ford does not stand behind their products so that is a losing battle. I have bought 2 cars from L B Smith within the last 2 years, and i Will Never Never go there AGAIN. The service there is just pathetic, lots of broken promises and never did make them good! Bought my Nissan truck there (2007 Titan Crew Cab ) My friend in my development suggested chatting to a salesman and we did. Found truck i liked and we worked on price for couple hrs, till it fit my budget. Then the problems begin with low pressure tire alert lite and other stuff that they wasn't big deal to them , but was for ME. Had to put truck in shop 2 weeks after buying it, and then L B Smith said they couldn't fix it any way because it was a Nissan, and they fixed Fords.So i had to drop off truck and loose my truck for about 2 days so they could run it up 2 Brenner Nissan to fix it. Then it was fixed for about 3 or 4 months and lite came back on and another visit 2 L B Smith and more time with out truck and still didn't fix it right! So now i'm unhappy and pissed with this service n waste of my time. Once again in November 2013 light again came on and this time I had to run the truck myself to Brenner, make my own appointment and another day without truck. They don't care about serving any other vehicles except FORDS and Lincolns. My wife's Lincoln is treated very differently when repairs and service is requested.Just amazing how different the sales and management are also along with sales and service. I'm just saying that any car bought there should stand the same on service and sales Oh yea forgot 1 think, they never wash my truck after service and my wife's car is spotless after oil change or repair, so when i did visit Brenner Nissan and found my truck had been washed after that dam lite was fixed for the third time, i was impressed and happy..Thank you Brenner. read more
