We had a leak in our tire and we are about to go on vacation. It was a slow leak and we just wanted to get the tire inspected so we knew it was safe. I had an appointment so I expected it to be taken back in a timely manner. I did not get notified when it was back or when finished. After an hour, I figured for them to look at a tire and let me know if I needed to do anything... was enough time. So I checked in. It was done. And no charge. I didn't like that nobody checked in with me. I did like that they checked it and it didn't require a lot of attention and the tire repair was free. I can't give more in-site on if they are a good deal or dependable. But I can say that they repaired my tire and it was at no charge. That was pretty nice. read more

In addition, JW offers complimentary mounting, lifetime balancing, lifetime rotation, lifetime alignment check and lifetime flat repair. All this would have costed extra at the dealer. In addition, they have the tire buy back offer too. They offer you money for the used tires! I've not seen that at the dealer. Keeping an appointment was easy. They took some details on phone. I had the first appointment of the day. They took the car right on time. It was ready at the time they promised. Had been going to Jack Williams in Camp Hill for years for both tire and service. Not sure who they have hired recently but just got an inspection and they failed the struts, hydraulic struts. They quoted me $2400 for the struts and service. I decided to check with the Toyota dealership and they asked to see them so I took the vehicle over for them to inspect. I called to make an appointment and had a specific Michelin tire in mind, and the person on the phone was able to give me a recommendation for a tire that had similar ratings, but ended up saving me about $150. When I arrived for my appointment I asked them to check to see if I needed an alignment, and to proceed with the alignment if necessary. Though they could have lied with me being none the wiser, they told me I did not need an alignment. They sell the tires I prefer, have good tire warranty, are in a great location, have reasonable prices, good specials periodically, courtesy van, and honor numerous discounts. Their bathrooms are super-cool; no spoiler alert from me since you have got to check them out yourself. What keeps me from loving this JWT location overall with another star? Well, numerous times I have attempted to schedule and/or come in for mostly tire rotations and flat tires. After all, this is Potholesylvania! Well, getting seen is often a miracle! Came in to get a flat patched. They took my car around and ten minutes later told me that the nail was too close to the sidewall. (Which was a bunch of bull) Then the agent proceeded to try selling me 3 new tires cause my "tread was wearing low." Little did this guy know that not only did I work in the automotive industry for years, but I just bought new tires two months ago. I told them to put the spare back on. I drove to Howard Tire in Harrisburg where they patched the tire for $17 and I was on my way. Be very weary of them trying to up-sell you. *DO NOT GO HERE* Dropped my car off at 10am for an inspection. Chose JW bc I think I need tires so went to a tire place, right? Well, after 6 hours, I called for an update. Had to call 3x, then let the phone ring for 5 straight minutes before they answered. Promised my car was the next up and they'd call me at 5:30. At 7pm, I started calling again and let it ring until I walked in their door at 7:15pm. After 9 hour and 15 minutes, my car was still parked in the exact same position and had never been moved. Not only blew off my appointment, never did the work, never met promises to call but kept my vehicle all day, wasted my ride's time and didn't even have the courtesy to apologize. I took my paperwork and my keys and I will NEVER be back. DO NOT COME HERE FOR A CAR DIAGNOSIS I honestly don't even want to give this place a one star review. I came in here because my rear brake was seizing on my 2016 Chevy limited. My boyfriend had already replaced the caliper so we had rules that out and believed my brake lines needed a bleed and brake hose was worn and needed replaced. they informed me that they would bleed the lines and that because of "rust" my brake odd and rotors needed replaced and this would fix it. This ran me 825 dollars including a battery and they NEVER even blessed my brake lines! I go back in after being an hour and a half away from home with my rear left brake seizing up again and as maturely as I could demandEd they diagnosis the actual problem and give it to me for free. They made me wait an HOUR and the manager completely disregarded my complaint (I most definitely believe them to be sexist) I had to leave and come back because they rudely made me wait after not even fixing my problem and charging me all that money! The front guy (Chris) came and told me that it now was the e brake line and I would indeed hve to paty for this as well as have my brake lines bled because they supposedly didn't even do this the first time! I asked why wasnt this the problem diagnosed initially ? He said they had to rule that out. What absolute bull and how disgusting to jsut replace parts and not even know the problem. This guy also claimed to they were expert mechanics and knew what they were doing initially when I tried to argue I didn't need the brakes and rotors replaced. of course, I did not trust their judgement and did not go through with the brake line replacement. I went there for a nail to be taking out my tire. I was sadly ripped off. These people are a pack of sneaky greedy wolfs. Charge me for a new tire. All they did was patched up old tire and moved that tire from the back to the front. Replaced one of my good more expensive tire for one of their cheap ones. So basically one of my tires was stolen and another tire was switched. Twenty dollar job cost me about $250! read more

After wasting 10 minutes there while the guy couldn't FIND my 2009 Jetta Sedan SE (one of the more common vehicles around), he then DEMANDED my phone and address in order to sell me a set of wiper blades... I've used them three times. As a former mechanic I get real annoyed with shops that make up rules on what won't pass inspection or internal rules of what they won't do. Then they try to upsell you on alignments and things that aren't needed. This shop does them all. Lady at the service counter won't talk to you and throws you on hold as fast as she can. Traveling from out town (TN) to visit my family in PA. Had a flat on the way. Changed it myself and used adequate spare to get to PA. My Dad is local and recommend J.W. Took my SUV in to get a new tire to replace blow out and the spare. Honestly my other tires were low on tread so when they recommended all new tires, I was ok with it. Needed to happened soon anyway. They called me and said the price would be either $660 or $720 out the door. Tires and installation. They explained the quality difference and I went with the better tire especially due to just having to change a tire on the side of a busy highway in the blazing heat. They said they would be ready in an hour which was great because we were heading to Canada the next day. I came to get my car, they totaled me out at $719 and the man said my total warranty info was on the 2nd sheet. Didn't think anything about it. Got in my car and drove to my parents. I noticed a $20 per tire charge..$84 with tax???? Not labor, that was a separate charge. I called. Joe said it was for the total tire care plan. I said I was not aware of this when he quoted me the out the door price. After an awkward conversation he said they could refund my money if I came back in. They closed in 10 mins. I made it back and Joe was no where to be found. Another gentlemen asked to help me and I explained that when I was quoted the original price, there was no mention of an optional warranty price per tire. He said, "Nobody broke that down for you?" I said no. And then he looked at me in a weird way. Thought this would have been a good place for "I'm sorry about that." He did proceed to refund me the $84 dollars, but he was not very nice about it. I tried to joke with him, but he seemed irritated. I said I hope I won't regret this, ha ha and he said "you probably will." Serious as can be. I said thanks for the confidence. Bottom line, be careful with these guys. They seem like they can do very good service, but tacking on extra warranty cost without discussing it with the customer, and then being less than cordial when called on it makes me wonder about this place. Also, the continental tire comes with a fantastic warranty built in the price. Truth is, I wouldn't use them again and nor will all my family who lives here. I thought they were reputable as they always did good on tires. Went for inspection and was told passenger front side wheel needed a new caliper, brake line, rotor and pads. They did the pads on both front wheels. A couple of days later my dash lit up like a Christmas tree with the brake light/esp light/abs light and traction control lights all coming on. Took it back today for them to look at it and was told the ABS module went out and it could not be from the work they did. They said they only replaced the hydraulic parts. I told them that they had to remove the ABS sensors to do the caliper. They confirmed that was correct, but it was nothing they did. Then they said it would be $800 to do repair. STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Would give zero stars if it was possible but Yelp doesn't have that rating. read more

Can we talk about how great this place is? Family trip to myrtle beach and our rental gets a flat tire in the middle of interstate 15. We call Avis and they tell us they can get us a new car in 2-3 hours. Great, we've got a minivan packed full of beach stuff and kids toys, 2 kids who have been driving for 5 hours already and a hotel waiting for us 4 hours away. Not to mention we would have to unpack and repack a new car after waiting for 3 hours. We get the car into a parking lot and I look up tires on Yelp and this place pops up. I call and they have the tire we need, but are closing in 6 minutes. We quick throw some air in the tire to get it down the road a half mile and these guys are so nice. They stay late, and get us fixed up and back on the road in like 20 min. Such great customer service, they really went above and beyond.
