This place was absolutely cuuute!! The vibe here was so chill, definitely a place I'd come to work and hang. The customer service was great. The girl at the cash register was so sweet and the barista was friendly. I ordered the Carmella. It was sort of their take on a caramel macchiato. Vanilla, caramel, milk and espresso. It was pretty yummy. The beans tasted so good and the sweetness level was just perfect. Parking is a little tricky because it seems to get packed but it's worth waiting around or walking to the shop.

Pleasant atmosphere and staff. Love this place. Whether hot or cold this is a go to in Downtown Rome.

When visiting family in Rome, we almost always come her for coffee. Quality brew in a relaxing atmosphere. My only wish is that the would add more food options

Spotted this place on an afternoon walk shortly after we arrived in town. Immediately intrigued, I'm all for visiting independent coffee shops when traveling. Plus the reviews on Yelp were through the roof! We rolled in the next morning after a peaceful walk across the river and through downtown. It was packed and there was a line. No deterrent for us! Imagine our surprise when we discovered that each 16oz latte automatically includes 3 shots--as regular travelers as well as drinkers of triple lattes, I can tell you this is very rare. We were thrilled! We found seats at a bar area along a window and had some time to check out the scene...this place has a great ambience and we loved that the bright red roaster was smack dab in the middle of the space. Pleasantly surprised when they walked our drinks all the way to us. It's the little things like that no one does anymore. Very well made lattes, the almond milk they use is unsweetened, a first for me at a coffee shop. I didn't mind, husband added sugar. Perfectly steamed. Couldn't wait to visit the next morning before we headed out of town. (Sadly, we discovered Swift & Finch is closed on Sundays--see my Starbucks Rome review for a surprisingly excellent alternative experience.) If I lived in Rome I'd be a Swift & Finch regular.

Ask the Community - Swift & Finch Coffee

The link to the website only shows packaged coffee to purchase. I just want to know if they have something to eat for breakfast and possibly lunch-type items like sandwiches?

In the mornings they put out scones, muffins, bagels and breakfast quiche. They also have oatmeal and I believe fruit. Nothing really as far as lunch though.

    Do they have almond milk?

Yes they do. I get almond milk mochas all the time from there.

It was really smooth and a very nice quality. The second drink was an iced latte from their specialty menu that had been renamed for a special event I was attending. I loved the flavor of the coffee, so much so that I grabbed some of their beans to take home as well. Merch - There was a great selection of merch from the company and local artisans as well. The stickers and mucus has some really cool designs. Staff - the baristas were some of the nicest people. Not only were they slinging drinks and working the event, but they were just amazingly personable and kind to all of our group. Location - most importantly though was the stunning location. The furniture, decor, vibe and even the commitment to theme through the bathrooms was everything. Even the confessionals booth was just perfect. Overall it is definitely a visit, and I will be back.

The first time the barista told me I can lower the sweetness level and the drink was PERFECT! I forgot the past couple times and it is quite sweet. I have had the Liberty Bell both hot and cold. Either way is delicious (minus the extra sweetness - but that is my fault for not remembering to tone down the sugar). The baristas are super nice. They told me son that they can do any drink hot, iced, or blended...They also have lemonade with mix ins - he's planning to get that next time. The space is spacious. There are about 12 - 13 tables of varying seats a cozy couch area and a bar with bar stools looking out the window. There is also outside space. At 2pm on a Wednesday there are few people in there so room to spread out but also echoey for an 8 year old boy playing switch and getting a little animated.
