This makes no sense because we just want to get a ballpark to see if it's even make sense to continue. But anyway, on the date of the site visit, the guy come without any tool for measurements and for note taking. The guy just spent like 20 mins walking around the house and said he will get back to us with a quote. But I never hear back from them since. I think the company is very picky on clients and like to see if they have enough money to pay for their service. If they think we cannot afford it, they will just cut all the communications. This is also mentioned by other 1 star reviews.

Doron was the first contractor that I spoke with about my project, and was by far the best experience that I had. He took the time to really look at my space, listened to my needs and specific requests, and gave great suggestions on how I could improve it. After taking measurements he sat down with me for over an hour patiently answering all of my questions. This was my first time considering a major remodel and he was great at anticipating where I would need guidance. He also showed me various completed projects in his portfolio and I was so impressed with the quality of his work. I could tell that he really takes pride in his team and his craftsmanship. Doron was able to provide me with an initial quote on the same day as our consultation. I ended up with further questions and changes, and he graciously set up a zoom call with me to address them the following day. Out of all the contractors that I spoke with, Doron stuck out for being the most passionate about his work and also the most detail oriented. I really appreciated his honesty with me about what I could reasonably expect. As this was my first project, I didn't have a good idea on what to expect regarding costs. I didn't end up moving forward with Method Remodeling because of my budget, but would love to work with them in the future when I am better established.

Unfortunately, his suggestion didn't work, so I needed him to come in person. When he arrived, he impressed me when he removed his shoes without being asked. I wasn't going to ask him to remove his shoes, as there was a water leak and the floor was just recently mopped. He replaced the fill valve effortlessly. I looked at my son, as we were struggling with removing the old fill valve. Leave it to a professional. He cleaned up the job area and I was charged a reasonable price. Then, when I held back on paying the final bill until that was resolved, they unwarned put a mechanic's lien on our house. Also I'm nervous about their billing setup generally - it got hacked last year and I almost got scammed out of $11k. And during the job itself, they had to take the crew off of our job for an "emergency" somewhere else, leaving a big gap where there wasn't any progress while we had an active construction site at our house. I understand some level of scheduling issues but this was really frustrating. So overall, I'd say all of this put a really bad taste in my mouth, and I'd be really torn on whether to work with them again. The work was tremendous but I can live without surprise interruptions and liens on my house.

Such was the case was the when I received a phone call. "I'm Christopher Gates and I'm working on the O. project in San Francisco and I think we're missing a real opportunity." Chris went on to explain that the upper and lower levels of the project were connected by a set of non conforming stairs, which were grandfathered in by not touching them, but were't the most enjoyable to navigate. The previous designer had elected not to touch those stairs. But Chris suggested something extraordinary: "Perhaps we can carve out some space from the adjacent closet, a bathroom, and a light well, and make a set of beautiful stairs with a skylight above that unifies the home right when you walk through the front door. Are you interested in checking it out?" As one who wants my clients to really love their new home, I was a little embarrassed that I'd miss the opportunity myself. But even more, I was super grateful for Chris's suggestion as well as his palpable enthusiasm, especially when so many architects and builders are willing just to gloss over it just to get it done quickly. "Hell yes!" I said. We scheduled a time to meet, trouble shot the challenges, and over the next 10 days, co-created an amazing solution together. Yesterday, nearly nine months since that first meeting, I had the chance to check it out the (nearly) finished project. Even going so far as to build missing kitchen cabinet pieces for you when your cabinet provider takes your money and no longer calls you back. They were very quick and fast with their work. And very honest and trustworthy people. The subcontractors that they work with have been with him for years. The work we did was demolish and redo enitire kitchen and bathroom and added 600square feet to the house as well after demolishing the sun room to add a new family room. They service most of the bay area. Would highly recommend them.

He always thought of a cost effective way to work through it. A smart, creative man. Our house was built in 1978 and we did nothing to it since we bought it in 2002. It was time for a full remodel! You would expect the work to to require at least 6 months. The entire structure was finished in a little more than 3 months! Workers were arrived by 7:45 every weekday morning working diligently (and politely!) all day. No issues with materials coming on time. Generation Builders is an accurate name for the company because they do it all and to me this is the way to go. No worries about disputes between subcontractors regarding one being delayed which causes the next to be delayed, etc. Those variables are eliminated with Generation Builders. The buck always stops with them. The work performed was outstanding. Our house is beautiful. Wonderful quality at a really good value. Ecstatic with what basically has become a new home. Leonardo, Deborah and the entire family at the core of Generation Builders are stars. Incredibly efficient, great communicators, punctual, always there. The roof needed replacement, the balcony was actively leaking, and there was dry rot in several areas of the house. Since I already needed so much exterior work done, it seemed like a good time to add solar panels and have the entire house repainted as well. Armand and the multiple crews he had work on my house did an *amazing* job, and they were pleasant to have around. Armand was very responsive to my questions and requests and gave useful advice. He was patient with me when I panicked, and he did everything he could to make the whole experience as stress free as possible. He coordinated with my solar panel installers to make sure everything went smoothly and the timing of the roof installation worked out, and he rushed to get my balconies waterproofed before it started raining. They used high quality materials, were up to date on the latest techniques and tools, and paid great attention to detail. I could tell they really cared about their work, and my neighbors have all complemented me on how nice the paint job looks. I can finally sleep easy without having to worry about more leaks and dry rot!
