I contacted GCD through Yelp after water started coming through the ceiling of our SOMA condo. Manny came out the next morning (on a Saturday) to investigate and provide a quote and was able to get a crew out later the same day. After removing the damaged ceiling, Manny's crew determined the leak was coming from the toilet seal in the unit above us and we were able to work with that owner to have it repaired. GCD also completed our repairs in addition to water remediation. Other companies I'd contacted for quotes only provided water remediation and not repairs. After reading all the positive reviews, I wanted to see if Manny was able to come out for an inspection for a musty room. I know this room can get pretty humid so I know it's because of old mold growth. He said that in order for him to come out, I would need an air quality test, in which he referred me to a company that charges $500. He just seemed so reluctant to help and kept saying that I also needed someone to test for asbestos and someone to come fix any water problems. I've done over 8 hours of research on mold remediation and know what I need but Manny is unwilling to help. He didn't even schedule me. Will find others to help instead. read more
