The bartender made us feel rushed and was not personal at all which we could understand if they were busy but we were the only people there at the time being. They were out of one of their very few options. Charged higher amounts for tastings then other wineries even when purchasing bottles to go along with it. The wines were not bad but not the best in the area. Best thing about this place was the beautiful courtyard area to sit in. read more

The quality and flavor of the wine here just didn't reflect the price. The flavors were pretty flat and the blend was very odd. Have tried a lot of wine and honestly I'd rather have a $6 bottle of Barefoot than this wine. Ive had $3 bottles of wine and $500 bottles of wine; I'm honestly not that picky about wine and find a lot of wine palatable and enjoyable but was very underwhelmed by my experience. What a great experience. We spent part of a Sunday afternoon tasting LDV wines and visiting with Curt Dunham. What a sincerely pleasant, informative and interesting person to be pouring wine for us! We have enjoyed LDV wines while attending wine festivals in the past but this little treasure will become a regular place for us to visit and relax with great people and fantastic wine. We are excited to try Thursday nights when LDV tasting room pairs local chef creations made on spot with a few of their varietals. The atmosphere and hospitality alone are enough to make this our destination but this sounds like a fun date night! If you haven't been here, you're missing a great find and even better wine. Visiting from Atlanta and we arrived just as they were opening so my husband and I got Peggy all to ourselves. The ambiance is very cosy with a rustic feel. Peggy was super nice and we learned a lot about grapes and realized we've been doing the wine thing wrong this whole time!! We tasted 5, all of which were good so you should not have a problem finding a favorite. Walked away with two bottles, the Sky Island Grenache 2013 and the 2013 Grenache and some soap, which smelled awesome by the way. Definitely a must do if you're in Scottsdale! read more

My friends and I travelled to Arizona for the beautiful wineries and spas for my bachelorette party! While we were in Scottsdale, we did a wine tasting at LDV Winery. They had a private table decorated just for us with flowers and beautiful decor. They planned a unique and interactive game for us that was so much fun! They were so attentive and thoughtful. The owners went out of their way to make it a magical experience- they even brought out their ADORABLE dog. Needless to say, I will never forget the hospitality they showed us and all the effort they put in to celebrating with my friends and me. LDV Winery - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Scottsdale, Arizona

I called about a month ahead of time to check and see how it would work to have a group of girls come and do a wine tasting for a bachelorette party. I made a reservation for the day and time we wanted and decided we would do their "bachelorette" tasting which is 5 tastings for $18/pp plus tax and tip. The regular tasting is 5 for $12/pp I believe. The only difference is that they "wait on you" meaning they come to your table and pour your wine... which I guess you would have to go inside and get each tasting if you didn't. Seems odd that having someone come by and pour isn't just assumed, but I guess it's because it's a small place with only two people available working. We probably didn't need a reservation even though it was on a Saturday, but they don't charge you for a reservation so it could be a good idea. She forgot we were coming anyway, but the patio was open so it worked out fine. They have a deal where if you buy two bottles you wave a tasting fee, but that isn't included in the bachelorette pricing. I would say just pay for the regular tasting and save some money. A plus is that you can bring your own snacks--cheese/crackers/fruit, which was nice. The wine is pretty good and it's a cute and quiet spot. Overall a pretty good experience! read more

The LDV Wine Gallery is just what downtown Scottsdale needed. wonderful patio, interesting gallery, and great wine. I picked up some of the flavored sugars and Balsamic vinegar for my "foodie" friends, and LDV wine for my clients holiday "thank you for your business." The Syrah was a huge hit last year, and now there a great white varietal as well. Lawrence Dunham Vineyards is a great ambassador for the quality of Arizona wines, and as an AZ native, that makes me extra happy. A great place to just relax a bit during the day, and perfect location for tasting a flight before dinner in Scottsdale. read more

I have wanted to check out this tasting room for a few months, and I was not disappointed when I decided to go in for a few sips. What a gorgeous and inviting space! Complete, of course, with great wines. LDV has done a wonderful job creating a fun and low key tasting space.The family background (and wine tributes) only add to the ambiance. I was fortunate enough to speak with Peggy, who was not only great with the wines but informative with regards to any other aspect of the business. I love the fact that they choose to work with local artists and eateries. They showcase art works from a nearby artist, as well as a food truck with a local chef, pairing dishes with featured wine selections. Yesterday was my first experience of wine tasting and I must say I was impressed! Suzanne was excellent in filling us in about LDV Winery and the vineyard itself. The store was clean, peaceful and easy to find in downtown, Scottsdale. Parking was a bit hard to find on the streets but vallet parking was available for $6 right across from LDV winery. My partner and I chose a variety of wines to taste and simply enjoyed tasting them! There was another couple ahead of us that chose to sit outside with their wine and seemed quite satisfied with their selection as well. We chose to have a seat inside with a little more peace and quiet due to the outside open bar across the street. After our session was over, Suzanne and her co-worker were very friendly in helping me discover which wines would be more tasteful for me with my preference of sweet wines. I highly recommend this place for any wine lovers or if you're interested in learning more about wine. read more

All Rhone varietals, with excellent Viogniers (oaked and unoaked), Signature Petite Sirah and an outstanding RED blend. I am a big fan of all the AZ wineries, but I must say this is the first flight where I love ALL of the wines - including the white (I'm a red snob). Stopped in here last Saturday night while we were wine tasting in the area. They close at 8 and we got there about 7:30. The girl that was working (wish I could remember her name) was very friendly. Even happily stayed open a few extra minutes while some others at the bar and my husband and I finished our wine and conversation. Love the outdoor seating. Could see this being a really nice place to bring friends/family that are visiting. Didn't try any of the food they serve so I can't comment on that. I am very passionate about Arizona wine so I am just so happy to have tasting rooms here in Phoenix. We did the "all in" tasting so we got to try all their wines for $14.00. Nice pours. Really got to get a good feel for the wine. Wasn't too crazy about some of the reds. They are very oaky and a little smokey. But still very good. They were out of a Syrah I hear is one of their best.
