Crepe Southwest (fresh spinach, cheese, sauteed tomato, bell pepper, onion, green chili, topped with guacamole)

Le Barn Appetit Creperie has character up the wazoo. Proprietor Janet is set up to make all crepes right in the center of the dining room, which is otherwise filled with memorabilia and the story of Le Barn Appetit and Janet's family history. She's happy to chat if you're so inclined, which is informative and homey, but may slow down service for the entire dining room. In general, service was a bit harried, but overall fine. We enjoyed our Crepe Epinards et Jambon (fresh spinach, cheese, & ham) and Crepe Southwest (fresh spinach, cheese, sauteed tomato, bell pepper, onion, green chili, topped with guacamole), but for the price we'd have loved if the cheese was better quality (came out of a grocery-store ziploc) and the guacamole was fresh (came out of a grocery-store packet).

Decent little creperie, servers were nice. We had a waffle and the strawberry and nuetella crepe to go. The waffle was bland and overly crisp, would not recommend. The crepe was much better, I would rate the crepe a 7/10. Both items were light on the syrup/sauce in the to-go box. I wouldn't do this place again as a to-go, but I may do it again as a sit down. The atmosphere was nice.

What a lovely , cosy place. The sweet crepe just melted in my mouth. A must visit if you are in the area.

This was such a great find, and a "hidden" gem in the Seward area. Janet and her husband own the restaurant and you can still find Janet whipping up savory crepes in her station in the middle of the restaurant. The interior is homey--you feel like you're in your grandmother's kitchen! There are also lots of neat memorabilia and newspaper clippings everywhere. The only thing they serve is crepes, but there are lots of options for both sweet and savory. They can even make them gluten free using buckwheat flour and they're just as good! The dessert crepes were cold, but the savory ones were hot. A lot of the fillings or sauces are homemade, such as the habanero sauce and the rhubarb compote. Janet chatted with us for a bit and let us watch her make our crepes. Since only two crepes can be made at a time, I imagine the wait can be long when it's crowded. This is such a special place--make sure to stop by while you're in Seward!

Great spot to fill up before your day or drive home!

This place is nice. I have been a few times but this time we stopped on the way out of town. Happy to make the stop! it's place is great i recommend going with a few people and order 1.5 per person. you will want to try all of them! Sweet or Savory they are all so freaking good! I think sharing is key to a place like this. The 1st time i came we got 5 for 3 people we had more than enough but it was a blast getting to hang out and chat and try all the crepes! Fresh Berrys if available are always worth it! so upgrade!!! The reindeer sausage is found all over the state but is great in any crepe! I have never stayed at the Air B&B but think this would be a great way to wake up!

Off the beaten path! Hidden Gem! Quaint! Eclectic! Delicious! Ok... it might not be quite so hidden since it is pretty popular. We were staying at Windsong Lodge just down the road about 1/2 mile so we walked over around 10am on a Saturday. Lucked out and the 4 of us grabbed a table inside. There are not a lot of tables... I think there are 5 tables inside and like 2 or 3 small ones outside. Inside is an experience... it might be a bit of sensory overload trying to 'take-in' all that is hanging and posted around the room and on the table. The owner is a one-woman-show. She greets, takes orders, cooks and is the cashier. With all that she does, she's pretty quick about it so we didn't have to wait long once we got our order in. The coffee is self-serve so she doesn't have to wait on you for that and you don't have to wait so ... more efficient for everyone. The crepes! Oh the Crepes! It's a good thing this place is over 3500 miles away from me otherwise I'd be in here every weekend. My mom had the Crepe with eggs, spinach, cheese and reindeer sausage while I had the Apple Cinnamon crepe. Both were mouth wateringly good. The crepes were thin, light and fluffy. The presentation was top notch! I loved the plates they were served on - beautfiul! Oh! PS... the owner / cook / one-woman-show was the Swim Coach (way back when) of the Coach who coached the 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist, Lydia Jacoby. Pretty darn cool!

This place is hard to describe.... It's like going to your French grandmothers house for breakfast. It's a barn like structure, we missed the front door but found it and made it inside. Inside consists of 5 tables, a cooking. Area with two griddles and a back kitchen. Only two of us so we didn't want to take up a big table and got squished into the corner. We just ordered one crepe, the Nutella and strawberries. The crepe was really really good. So soft. The lady who was helping the older lady took our order and made our crepe in the back kitchen. Once we left all the tables were full and the older lady was still cooking at the two griddles. She would just ask what you wanted and make it. It is definitely not a regular restaurant, don't know if you'd even call it that. Just go have some great crepes if that's what you want.

This is the real deal here. We found this only because of Yelp, and we were not disappointed at all. We had several different crepes and loved each of them. This is tucked back off the main road on the way out to the glacier near Seward. In typical Alaskan fashion, there are not enough people to work, however the owner was CRUSHING it. She did wonderfully and got everybody taken care of in a good amount of time. This is a spectacular stop for crepes--meal crepes and dessert crepes. Truly a spectacular experience. GET...HERE...NOW!

Savory ham and cheese and spinach. Sweet strawberries and Nutella.

You have to eat here! Janet runs the place and cooks the crepes right in the middle of the dining area. The spinach, ham and cheese savory crepe is exactly that. Delicious and all the right flavors together. The dessert crepe was the strawberries and Nutella and whoa. So sweet and creamy and incredibly unforgettable. The water is served cold in a metal teapot which is too cute. This place feels like visiting a family members home who can't want to make you feel comfortable and wanted. Janet says she grounds her own Italian blend coffee and the mugs are self serve. There was also a wall of tea to choose from.
