Even though there are multiple accolades for Le Bazaar restaurant, I must add my voice of praise. For our anniversary, we were searching for a memorable celebration. We had tickets to Pro Arts, a top notch live theater in Kihei. For dinner, we discovered this hidden gem, next door to the theater. Le Barre, an unobtrusive local restaurant. As we entered the door, we were transformed. The atmosphere was elegant. The decor was tasteful and authentic costumes were provided for optimal emersIon, a beautiful Belly Dancer provided entertainment. We were presented with a variety of Wine choices, I selected the Moroccan Syrah. Our meal began with an Orange blossom hand washing, During our meal, we were presented a 6 course dinner starting with delicious Harira Soup, then came a large plate of 4 Moroccan Salads made from a medley of local upcountry vegetables, then we were surprised with B'stella a chicken and almond pie delight. Our main course was a huge portion of delicious Lamb Tagine, with Couscous. I just ate at Le Bazar, a Moroccan restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The food was spectacular, with complex flavors and varied textures that delighted the palate. I was particularly impressed and pleasantly surprised by the B'stella - it was a wonderful and beautiful cultural piece which we learned about during the dinner. The service was above and beyond, making us and my toddler feel at home/ease. Despite the pre fixe menu and sophisticated ambience not typically being "kid-friendly," my toddler ate more than usual, which is a testament to the chef's skill and the menu's appeal. If you had a bunch of kids with a limited palate and strong preferences, I wouldn't bring them but my kid ate and we all loved it. The belly dancing performance was engaging and provided a delightful break from sitting. Our two-hour stay flew by, thanks to the thoughtfully timed seating that ensured we never felt rushed. The food was incredible! We are a group of moms and we tried so many different dishes, all with unique flavours and you can tell the food is cooked with so much love. I especially loved the olives and the tamarind chicken! The whole night was an experience to remember because we dressed up in Moroccon kaftans, drank mint tea, washed our hands in orange blossom water and the belly dancer was amazing! She did multiple performances whilst we were there. It was such a fun atmosphere, you couldn't help get up and join in the dancing. And the Moroccon decore' really makes this place so special! The food was really good, but unfortunately it's too expensive for what it is and the portions are really unnecessary. They should do mezze plates family-style and let each person choose what kind of protein they want as their main, in an appropriate portion. Otherwise it's just excessive amounts of food, and you can't mix and match proteins unless you have several people, and it's too expensive to be able to come back often. It's a one-and-done kind of spot, when honestly, we would go back a lot more often if it were more reasonable. $50/60 prix fixe would be great. $100 is way too much. Fun spot though! What a wonderful evening at Le Bazaar! I went with a large group and we all had an incredible experience. I wound up being the only vegetarian in my party and they were able to accommodate me without problem or complaint. The food was beyond delicious, I found myself saying "this is my new favorite" after every course. From the soup to the dessert everything was something new that I hadn't tried before. This place takes food restrictions seriously and has a dish in mind to satisfy you! I returned recently with a large group of about 15 and let me tell you, they didnt miss a beat! We celebrated my birthday here with friends and had THE BEST TIME! What a lovely Moroccan oasis and fun experience. Perfect for a romantic date night! My favorite was the salad course, I really loved their babaganoush! From the belly dancing to the mint tea, we were all smiles. They even include Moroccan outfits for everyone to wear!
