I went to Le Bella Donna looking for a dress during a Trunk Show in 2020. My first impression was great--the store is beautiful and well-presented. However, the experience quickly went downhill. After browsing and not finding anything I liked, the salesperson insisted I try on five dresses she selected. None of them suited my style. I mentioned to my friend that I preferred a dress I'd seen at another store, and the salesperson overheard and asked to see a photo of it. After looking at the photo, she told me she could order the same dress for me. Since I was already there, I agreed. She took my measurements, and when I told her the specific color combination I wanted, she dismissed my choice and insisted on a different color, saying she knew what she was doing. I disagreed, but she assured me everything would be fine and the color combination she was ordering was the one I tried on the other s About a month later, while showing pictures to my sister-in-law, I found a photo of the dress tag and zoomed in--turns out, I was right. The color ordered was not what I had requested. I immediately emailed the salesperson, explaining the mistake and asking her to correct it, especially since the dress wouldn't be delivered for several more months. Then COVID hit. By the time the dress arrived and I went in to pick it up, it was still the wrong color. I told the salesperson, and she brought the owner into the dressing room. The owner assured me they would have the lining replaced by their seamstress to match the correct color. A couple of months later, I went back--but the dress was still wrong. I pointed it out again, and this time the store manager got involved. She insisted it was the correct color until I showed her a photo of what I had originally ordered. Only then did she admit it was wrong and promised to send it back to the designer. When I returned again, the dress had still not been corrected. I almost took it home out of sheer exhaustion--but decided to speak up again. The manager said she'd try one last time, but warned me the dress had been discontinued. At that point, I was devastated. I emailed and asked for a refund, as they had clearly failed to deliver what I paid for. Instead of apologizing, I received a rude email stating that I would now be charged $25 per week for storing the dress and should come pick it up. I responded that the dress wasn't being stored--it was still there because they never got it right. She then offered to ship it to me, but given their track record, I didn't trust them. Eventually, she scheduled a pickup, treating it like they were extremely busy--though the store was empty every single time I went in. After nearly three years, Le Bella Donna was unable to provide the dress I ordered in the color I asked for. I'm now stuck with a dress I never wanted. Thankfully, my wedding was postponed due to COVID, so I now have time to find a dress I actually love from a store that values its customers. Don't be fooled by the store's appearance. Once they have your money, customer service is gone. The staff is rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. read more

Le Bella Donna was the second location I visited for my bridal dress. Let's just say they did not disappoint . Colleen made the experience so easy and fun. She helped me narrow down on THE DRESS! The first day I went in I still had not clue of what I wanted in a dress, I knew for a fact what I did not want, and an idea of what I liked. Colleen listened to me and brought out plenty of dressed until I found the one. You know the dress you can't stop thinking about! I can't express how great of an experience I had when wedding dress shopping at Le Bella Donna. It started right when I walked in the store. The ladies are all so welcoming, friendly, educated, professional, and happy to share such an amazing time in your life. I meet with my stylist Jennifer which took my experience to the next level by pulling multiple dresses I had shared with her via my Pinterest inspiration wall. I fell in love with two different dresses but what really helped me make that final decision was the photos and videos that Jennifer took on my phone that make me see what I want to see on my wedding day. Highly disappointed and I didn't even visit their store! Booked online several weeks out.. received a confirmation text 2 days before and asked for accommodations since I needed to have my 2 children (older) join me for shopping. Jamie did respond back later in the day.. she stated the policy was firm and only 3 guests. Attempted to find help with my kids but was unsuccessful. Canceled via text 36 hours before and was told there would be NO accommodations to refund my $50 appointment fee since it was less than 48 hours!! I had a wonderful appointment with Jess today! I am pretty self conscious and am not a fan of shopping but Jess helped me feel comfortable and selected dresses for me that she knew I would be interested in based on the info I gave her. She guided me towards the dresses within my budget and would let me know if I was looking at something over budget so I wouldn't fall in love with something that I couldn't afford. The first dress I tried on I fell in love with! I tried on a few others and they were beautiful but I ended up going with the first dress. My mom, future mother in law and my maid of honor were with me and we all bonded well with Jess. I felt like she was one of the girls! Any questions anyone had she had an answer for and had a ton of helpful knowledge on each dress I tried on. She pointed out every tiny detail of the dresses and explained how things would fit. I can't say enough good things about my experience at Le Bella Donna. It was my first day out looking at dresses and I'm worried now that I'm going to compare this salon to every other. Their selection is amazing, but where this store really excels is with their expertise. Bought my bridesmaid dress from this store and what seemed smooth at first ended in frustration and headache! MONTHS before the wedding all of the bridesmaids were sent to be measured so the order could be sent together. The store explained that this was so the manufacturer would cut the dresses from the same roll of fabric and the color would match exactly...no problem! Months later the dresses arrive EXCEPT for one which was mine. With still having some time before the wedding I wasn't initially concerned but then the arrival date kept being pushed back. Eventually I was told the dress would not be here in time for the wedding and that they could try to make me a dress from one of the sample dresses in their store! As any bride could imagine this was a living nightmare! Luckily, for me, one of the bridesmaids had to back out of the wedding and did not pick up her dress. I eventually was given the option to have her dress ONLY if I signed a document that stated I would be responsible for the cost of the dress if she decided she wanted it! Keep in mind we are now days from the wedding with a dress 8 sizes too big! I was super lucky to be able to get a last minute spot with a local seamstress who did an excellent job! The sales woman we originally dealt with and for most of this experience was actually very sweet. She tried her best to keep open communication with me once we were within weeks of the wedding. I eventually asked to talk to the manager or owner and received a call from, I believe, the store manager and she was not very friendly. When I picked up the dress I had a conversation with the manager asking for a call from the store owner which to this day has not happened. They did refund me the cost of my dress BUT they also kept my dress once it arrived. From the beginning the dresses seemed overpriced. Also, the groom also had major issues with his tux and some of the groomsmen's tux's too. So from a Grooms perspective this place was a complete joke. Delayed suit's for the whole party which 3 days before the wedding they finally arrived and wouldn't you know more then half didn't fit right. As the groom I'm expecting them to truly take care of me and make sure I look sharp. Nope!! Suit was baggy pants, shirt and jacket to big along with 4 of my other guys suits. Only 2 groomsmen suits fit right. When I said something about it the response was it might take 2-3 days to fix. Ummm so your saying on my actual wedding day maybe the proper fittings would arrive? So of course your stuck with what you have at an overpriced rate. It's seriously the only thing that bothered me about my wedding day and stuck always thinking about it because of the pictures and how noticeable it was in them. I had to roll not only the pant's legs but also my suit jacket so that it wasn't going down to my knuckles. I absolutely 100% with all my heart would not recommend this place for any man or a female party to get they're suits and dresses. They did great with my wife's wedding dress but that's where it ends. Even the females had months of no response other then it's stuck in shipping when it came to the bridal parties dresses, which even though all measured at the same time and on the same date all came weeks and weeks and weeks apart down to the week of the wedding. One of the girls dress didn't come till after our wedding date and they used someone else's as a replacement. Men if you need a suit go anywhere else because they all offer the same discount rates or free suit to the groom discount. Men's warehouse or any legit male suit/tux store, but definitely not a here because you are not they're focus. They give you everything just a couple days before and you have no other options. One of the biggest regrets of my life was trusting this shop and it's employees to do right and listening to the bullshit words coming out of everyone's mouth as they smiled. My family dynamic is a bit tricky and Liz jockeyed everyone's opinions very gracefully while protecting my sanity. I was having a beach wedding and she provided really helpful recommendations for fabric and structure that made my wedding day so great. I also moved to Hawaii in the time between purchasing this dress and it arriving to the Jenkintown location. The shop was super helpful in inspecting the dress and shipping it to me. They understood my concerns over losing the dress in the mail, so they were very proactive about communication and everything worked out so well. read more

Let me just start by saying I love my dress and the selection here! Also my consultant was great. What I expected more from was the experience. Your takeaway from this review should be to not go on a Saturday because you will feel rushed. I arrived early for my appointment time and was asked to wait across the hall in the accessory shop for about 25 minutes, which I assumed I would get back during my appointment. I guess I assumed wrong because during my appointment, the manager (owner?) kept making eyes at my consultant to hurry up and made me and my group feel pretty uncomfortable. At one point my consultant point blank told her the last appointment ran over and she's trying to give me the time I deserve. The woman apologized but I could tell it was only to save face and the damage was done in my eyes. I still found my dress after the 3rd or 4th one. Luckily I am very decisive so I didn't need the extra time but I still felt it was unprofessional when I am paying $2500 for a dress. Also, I didn't complain about waiting 25 minutes because I understood it was busy and things happen. Also, once I went to pick it up, everyone was very nice but they don't really give you a lot of attention at that point since you've already paid in full. If they tried I may have bought some accessories, but they didn't ask about that or about alterations so I just took my dress and left. I recommend this place for the wonderful selection and the consultants, but in short I highly recommend going on a weekday when you probably won't be as rushed. read more

I came into the appointment with a specific style in mind and Colleen was able to pull upwards of 10 dresses that all fit my vision (and they were all beautiful!) Can I give zero stars? I should have read these reviews before doing business with this place. We all know what a racket the wedding industry is, but it sad to see vendors that are so predatory. As other people have mentioned, when you are looking to buy, they are all sweetness and light. My daughter and I picked up her dress that took 7 months to come in and all of a sudden the veil we were interested in was going to have to be rushed. I'm told later that we should have made an accessory appointment. That was the first I have heard of that. With the panic of them saying that the veil wouldn't be in for another 3 months and the wedding is a month later, we rushed to order an hour and half before the store closed. After getting home and looking at the pictures, my daughter and I decided that the length wasn't right so I left a message at 6am telling them to cancel the order. I get a call when they open saying "they can't". #1 we were told that it was going to take 3 months to get to us so clearly nothing was started #2 when I asked if they even reached out to the manufacturer, I got crickets which means "no" so saying "they can't" was a lie. "They won't" was more accurate #3 If they have this lousy of a relationship with their vendors that there is no turning back after less than 12 hours, it makes you wonder #4 After me pitching a fit, they offered store credit, which in of itself is proof that it wasn't about this order at all, it was about keeping our money. DO NOT go to this store. I advised the manager that taking this stance over such a small purchase (in the scheme of things...actually outrageously expensive veil, truth be told) was "unwise" considering the damage to their reputation. So true to my word, I am forced to shout about this from the rooftops to protect other unsuspecting brides from making the same mistake. Next up: Facebook and Instagram. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience finding and purchasing my wedding gown from Le Bella Donna. From the moment I stepped foot into the absolutely gorgeous shop to the special moment I said yes to the dress, my experience at Le Bella Donna was A+. Something to know about me: I'm extremely indecisive and was not looking forward to shopping for my dress. I struggled a lot with narrowing down what I liked, but Paula, my consultant, was an incredible help. She was an expert at listening to my comments on each dress, and used that feedback to find other dresses I might like. Paula is the one who pulled what ended up being "my dress" and it was definitely not one I likely would have pulled off the shelf for myself. I'm so grateful to Paula for listening to my rambling thoughts and finding me a dress I absolutely cannot wait to wear in November 2020. Truly, there were so many dresses I liked at Le Bella Donna. I found my dress at Le Bella Donna and it was the perfect experience! Le Bella Donna was the fourth store I went to and all of the dresses were starting to blend together. Charlene helped me figure out exactly what I wanted. The first dress was the dress I picked. I was indecisive and nervous about trying on dresses but she made me feel so comfortable to be myself and she was so patient with me! She also was so welcoming to my guests so it made it feel like friends trying on dresses. I have grown up in Jenkintown so I loved the idea of getting my dress from a bridal salon in Jenkintown and it was more than I expected. It felt like family immediately and it seemed like everyone was invested in me finding my dress (without feeling like too much pressure for a shy bride like me). I can't say enough nice things about Charlene! I bought my dress during the national bridal sale, so my dress was as is off the rack. First, their website is really informational and they carry so many wonderful dress lines! It was very easy for me to make a reservation using their online system. After I make a reservation, in my confirmation email I was asked to complete a survey of my wedding dress style, which was really fun. When I went for my appointment, the shop was incredibly cute and decorated so nicely for Christmas. I had the first appointment of the day on Black Friday, and there was no one else in the shop but me which was nice. My consultant, Megan, took control of the appointment and told me exactly how things were going to go. She had a great strategy for picking out dresses I liked and kept my budget in mind. The fitting rooms were really large, which was awesome (unlike another shop I went to) and the lighting was also great. Their mirrors were fantastic and could be moved in a number of directions so I could really get a good idea of what the dresses looked like from different angles. Megan took the time to make sure I got the feel of each dress before trying another one on. They also have a generous appointment length - 90 minutes. The other shop I was at was 60 minutes (I'd only overheard them say that) and then at one point my consultant disappeared. Megan stayed with me the entire time, and was upfront when she had to move onto her next appointment. Buying a wedding dress is a big decision, and I only felt a little rushed at the end of my appointment when I had to make a decision (I am not the fastest decision maker). I ended up purchasing my dress that day, and got a 10% discount as part of their black Friday sale, which was great! They gave me earrings as a gift for purchasing a dress, and a really nice folder with lots of helpful information. They took a photo with my group and posted it on their Facebook page later in the day which was nice. And I think I saw 3-4 other brides purchase their dress there that day as well, so I think that says a lot about the shop. So overall, really great shop, cute part of town, many dress selections, and excellent customer service so far. Plus it's great to get all of this without having to go into Philly. Emily was my consultant in trying to find the perfect dress! I liked the fact I was able to go through the racks of the dresses , which the store offered a beautiful selection of dresses. I had a great experience trying to find and buying my dress. This is where it started to fall apart for me, once I bought the dress, everything went down hill.... I REALLY do not recommend taking your dress here to get hemmed. The seamstress ONLY works only Saturdays and not flexible whatsoever with her schedule. They scheduled me late to have my first fitting and ended up having to take it to my personal seamstress so that I could have it on time for my wedding day! I am petite and asked to start the fitting process early and was told I would only 'need two fittings' (maybe for an average size bride, but I've had a seamstress (who thankfully fixed my dress when I finally took it to her after my SECOND fitting and nothing was done here). When I took my dress to the seamestress she said the seamstress at La Bella Donna, was making short cuts and that if I were to wear it the way that she did it - that it would have fell apart while dancing. Also, La Bella Donna has you go downstairs into the basement (poorly lit and looked like a stock room that did not have a pedestal or a three way mirror) while trying/fitting the dress. My Aunt had to ask the manager to have a better lit room (which was empty the whole time) and the seamstress admitted she is never allowed to have the brides (who purchase dresses) in the unused rooms upstairs. It seems the experience of being a 'bride' stopped after you buy your dress. Overall, they have nice dresses but I would not recommend getting a dress here as the experience overall turned out to be quite stressful and negative. I hope they hire their own seamstress to make this a more enjoyable process. read more

This is one of the first shops I went to and I wasn't ready to commit to a dress but because I didn't have any photos of myself in my top dresses I didn't feel the need to come back. I'm glad that all of you brides here in the review section have such good things to say. BUT as a bridesmaid, I am extremely unhappy. Not only was I misinformed as to the payment schedule of my dress.. (I was told 60% deposit, them the remainder once the dress came in.... it was all due at once, luckily I could afford to pay the $300 at once as a single mother who lives an hour away and had to travel to Jenkintown to pay) Once my dress came in, IT WAS TWO SIZES TOO BIG. so here I am, having to spend even more money to have alterations. However, if my dress was properly measured and ordered, there's a strong possibility I wouldn't be dishing out an EXTRA couple hundred bucks. Safe to say I won't accept any more bridesmaid proposals. Wow, I just picked up my dress from Le Bella Donna and I could not be happier!! I worked with Jess to pick out my dress about a year ago and today she told me she made sure to take me again so she could see the final product on me. She was so kind, helpful, and patient with me and my family (who is very silly and energetic). She pulled a dress I hadn't even seen (the 4th one I tried on) and it was The One!! Loved every minute of my visit! I worked with the assistant manager, Jenny...she listened to me and was very patient! Going into the visit I was worried I wouldn't find a dress within my budget....but I did, a few actually...and they are breathtaking!!! BE CAREFUL BUYING YOUR WEDDING DRESS FROM LE BELLA DONNA. I want to share my story to make other future brides aware of what could happen to your dream wedding dress. My Martina Liana dress cost $4,000 and once it arrived at the store/tried it on - there were 3 holes in the back!!!! They claimed that there are 2 layers of lace, and they accidentally shortened the 1 layer in those 3 spots- therefore it looks like 3 holes- one of which is right where the back buttons are. After going back and forth for now 3 months and instead of taking responsibility, they blamed the designer and the only resolution they offered was $40 back - that is 1% of the cost of the dress. What a joke! This should never happen to any bride...recommend going to another shop that will take care of you completely!! read more

Le Bella Donna was the 4th store my sister & I went to. At the 3rd store, my sister found "the one". I said let's try one more to make sure. Megan greeted us. She was warm & friendly. She told us of the "no photos" rule, which we were not thrilled about. I pulled similar dresses that my sister loved from the previous 3 stores. After 2 dresses, I heard my sister & Megan talk about how I was going to cry. Lol. Out came my sister in a gorgeous gown that my sister wore instead of the dress overpowering her. It's absolutely perfect! My sister ordered on the spot & now we eagerly await the 9 months until it comes in. On a side note, a horrid bridezilla came in for alterations while we were there. The staff was calm & kind. I swear, if this woman would have said one more degrading comment to the staff, I was going to let her know how disgusting her behavior. read more

Le Bella Donna helped me to find the dress of my dreams !! As this was my third store for trying on dresses I felt somewhat frustrated and felt I was never going to find the perfect dress for me. Ordered bridesmaid dresses for a friends wedding here. Upon picking up the sales person was rude. Tried telling me if the dress was any tighter in my waist It wouldn't fit. Well that's because she was zippering It on my hips instead of at my waist because the dress was so big up top. I even ordered a size smaller than the 12 they recommended. Mind you I've never worn bigger than a 6 in a bridesmaid dress in my life. When asked about alterations I was told "they're expensive and booked. Go to a cleaners." For a $250 dress I shouldn't of left the place with a gown this ill fitting. This WOULD NEVER HAPPEN AT DAVIDS BRIDAL. And please don't tell me I was paying for quality. The quality was no different, the usual over seas manufactured bridesmaid quality. The attitudes of the staff sucks, if you're that miserable get a new job. And please stop measuring girls bigger than they are when you can't provide alterations, leaving people to fend for themselves. read more

My daughter made an appointment on Monday she quickly was given an appointment 2 days later. We arrived at our scheduled appointment 5pm and Paula was prepared with dresses based on the information my daughter provided over the phone. She showed her two dresses and my daughter gave them the thumbs up or thumbs down and based on that and pricing she brought out a few dresses. The first dress was perfect we tried a few more on but went back to the first. They offer military discounts and are all very friendly. We paid about $400 more than we wanted to spend. We bought a dress someone ordered but changed their mind on. Almost $1000 for a beautiful dress. read more
