The selection of beers is absolutely amazing. I don't even drink beer but I was so tempted by both his descriptions and the passion in which they were all explained, that I ordered the flight to share. My wife and I enjoyed the Poutine for a late Lunch, and added the sausage! it was excellent! Portions were very good too! Well worth the trip from Southern Ontario!

We took advantage of that and ate outside near the street and the water. Although our waitress was bilingual, she was a bit uncomfortable with us. She did relate better to the much younger couple who spoke English near us. We both ordered an IPA and began to decipher the French menu. Note that the food here is pub food, not a full lunch. My wife ordered the smoked mussels and French bread, and I ordered the smoked herring and French bread. Both came fairly rapidly. The French bread was warm and the mussels and herring were served in a Quebec style marinade infused with spices. We both thought they were excellent. The bread was also excellent. We would definitely return to this restaurant.

THE BEST POUTINE! I…read moregrew up around Quebecois family and now that I live out of the country, when I get the opp to have poutine, I can only wish it is within La Belle Province, and especially from this little gem of a resto! The portions are immense, so either make sure you're super hungry or sharing with someone else. The fries are spot-on cooked to perfection, the gravy is just right (not too salty, not too liquidy) and of course the best part is the fresh squeaky cheese curds! And they are not shy about how much of this yummy white cheese they put on the portions. If you have never had a real poutine made with real squeaky cheese curds, then you're just plain missing out. We opted for the original creation, altho this location does offer alllllll kinds of poutine creations. My brother is a big guy (6'4") and a big eater, but he could barely finish his large order. He lives in Western Canada and stated that "they don't know what they're doing out there!" after eating this traditional Quebecoise poutine! I had a small and it was just right for my appetite. The eat-in space is small but cozy and not meant for a lengthy stay. The area is kept clean and tidy. Parking is okay, but can be sparse since the adjoined parking lot is small-ish. Good thing they offer drive-thru service, which our family use and prefer. Their feedback is that this mode of take away is always fast, friendly and delicious. Wheelchair accessible spaces. Bathroom is clean. Kudos to the VERY kind and VERY efficient team members who were working when we popped into the resto. They were willing to try their best at speaking English with my brother. He appreciated that! Merci! Thank you! This is the best of 4 poutine places we've tried in during our visits to Quebec, and it is ranked as number 1 in our experience!

On est allé vendredi soir et la fille qui nous a servi nous a très bien conseillé! Numéro unread more

For example, I've mostly gotten pasta here, and it's all been good. The Alfredo is good, pesto is good, rosé sauce, etc. You can also get it "gratinée" which means added cheese broiled on top... and who's mad at that?! Beware that if it is busy, service might be fairly slow. Also - their central cafe chocolate cake is decadent and AMAZING.

In the room in which we sat decorated was a bunch of bird feeders on the wall. A bit odd but provided a homey old fashioned feel. I was thinking..... either the guy who owns this has a big fascination for birds or birdhouses! I started the meal off with a carrot and ginger soup which I felt was a bit overly salted. Then I chose the seafood pizza. This came out somewhat disappointing as it had a few specs of seafood. I do understand for the price $15 they can't load it. Charge me more and give me a better serving! After eating at the maison Spag their pizza here left much to be desired. Service was pleasant, warm and nice! Maybe my food was a poor menu choice. Price was reasonable and decent.
