Just horrible, truly no stars. We get there 8/5/2019, the workers made us feel like we were disturbing them. Ordered 2 cheeseburgers, fries and onion rings, cost $23.00. Got the order, was missing items asked for on the cheeseburger, onion rings were so bland I added salt (which I never do because I have bad kidneys and avoid a lot of salt, that's how bad the food was). The ham and cheese poboy was terrible for a ham& cheese. I didn't find or taste much cheese. The amount of ham was ok but that is where the story stops. I didn't find the poboy to be very tasty at all. If I ever go back I won't ever order that again. I do not recommend the ham & cheese poboy at all. read more

Hubby and I split the large Shrimp Po-Boy and an order of onion rings. Sweet tea topped it off. ($17) It was delicious and plentiful! It is a small place with only a few tables, but everyone is friendly and it feels homey. We will be back the next time we travel this way. read more

We are locals and this is our favorite. Very small place only six table/booths inside, clean. Not fancy place just good food,not fast food. Best fried oysters I've ever tasted, it they are not good they will send them back to the suppliers and not serve them. Catfish crispy, tasty and serving size is more than a normal person would want. My landlady has people out this way and we went on a little road trip last weekend with her. The place is small - maybe half a dozen tables and you order at the counter and get served on styrofoam plates. What we were doing there was see, we went camping at Fausse Pointe State Park and that morning, we got a personal "Wild Kingdom" show: a red-tailed hawk swooped down into this large mud puddle (left over from the flooding the week before) and pulled out a big-ass catfish and proceeded to have a hearty breakfast whilst we toasted wheat bread on a Coleman stove and watched. So when lunch rolled around and even though po boys are fairly represented on the menu we were all about the catfish platters. I'm fond of the less thin (can't really call it "fat" cause it's still on the lean side) catfish at Middendorf's but lately I've been judging all catfish by the lunch portion at Herbsaint, which is a plump plank indeed. Lecafe isn't going to out-plump Herbsaint but then it's not going to cost half as much, either. And the corn meal coating is spot on - there's seasoning and a crunch without detracting from the fish itself. Me and my better half shared a plate that came with 4 good-sized pieces of catfish, 6 fried oysters (not the best ever but still good), fries, and two sides (why my better half chose a double-dose of corn while I was in the facilities, I'll never know) all for $12. It was plenty for two normal-sized adults who like to eat and planned on being hungry again come dinner-time. My only regret is that hush puppies were not an option. I also sampled the cole slaw and the fried shrimp at our table and it was all really tasty. I know not everyone is lucky enough to have people to visit Breaux Bridge with, but you know me (kinda) and I know someone so get out there and explore the wonders of Cajun country! And tell 'em Cindy and Bruno Melancon sent you (even though they didn't really... not directly, at least) because 1) you may be served by one of their relatives and 2) it will be funny if a bunch of people do it and word gets back to them. read more

We got off in Breaux Bridge to find some lunch and used Yelp to find a place. Oh my goodness, we were led the right direction! The shrimp po'boy was delicious! And my husbands oyster po'boy was too. The shrimp was cooked just right, so tender. My husband and I have traveled over 2,500 in last week and I've Yelped many places. Been very happy. The woman at the counter wasn't too friendly. I saw that she had been reading a People magazine and I was about to throw away a similar type mag so I offered it to her and she perked up and then offered me hers, so we traded!
