Wow! This place is a hidden gem! Tried the Blaise Hamburger, onion rings and crinkle fries! The buns are heavenly, baked fresh daily by a local bakery. Service was excellent! Very cool older building with original heart of pine floors. We will definitely be back to try other menu items.

DELICIOUS!! My husband and I stopped in tonight on our way through town. Definitely a must try! We both got po boys (shrimp and fish). We definitely recommend! Food was tasty and FRESH!! The owner came out and talked to Us and everyone was super friendly! A place the locals go to for sure! We will definitely be back!

Spent dang near $40 on 2 burnt burgers ? Something that you'd pay $5 for at a concession stand at a school ball game. The onion rings were over cooked and the fried are just frozen from a bag and they tasted like the freezer. Tried calling to speak to a manager multiple times, they are apparently never available. That's what I get for trying them after the multiple Facebook posts I saw saying to try them.

A nice little restaurant in Breaux Bridge. It's under new ownership and the staff was very friendly. Our food got to us quickly and everything was cooked fresh. Brightly lit and nice cold a/c. There were a few TVs on with different football games if that's your thing and a variety of art for sale on the wall. Definitely would recommend getting the onion rings as an appetizer, the dip was amazing!

Great food & great stained glass! This is a charming place that highlights local artists- get the boudain egg rolls, gator sausage and fish sandwich!

    Shrimp and fish platter. Yummy!

The seafood platter was huge, it could have easily served a whole family. The fish and shrimp were very good, but unfortunately the stuffed crabs and crawfish were a bit fishy. Well, if you believe my mom's theory that anyone named Durand is related to us. To be fair, I have already found one actual relative using this exact logic, so who knows about ol' SMD. Anyway, this place is insanely popular, requires reservations, and there is a reason for that. The food is awesome. Gumbo? Awesome. Etouffee? Awesome. Steaks? Damn great. The pork chop? Hell yes. And then there is the Breaux Bread. Get away from me, Satan. That stuff is way too good. Like, lawd have mercy, why would you do this to me good. They also usually have live music on the weekends, often a solo singer, and every time we have been the music has been great. It adds to the whole atmosphere without taking over the room. The staff is super fun, the cocktails are great, they have a really good bourbon selection, and the wine list is better than you might expect. This is not some little place surviving because it happens to be in Breaux Bridge. Sydnie Mae is a legitimately great restaurant that would be great anywhere. If you find yourself in the Breaux, get to Sydnie Mae. And if anyone happens to know whether Sydnie Mae Durand is actually related to me, let me know. My mom is probably already convinced.
