Had supper here last night; first visit. Chose for cheeseburger reputation, but had shrimp platter & softshell crab after menu study. The seafoods are fried in batter which is heavy, doughy, & greasy. The fried okra was much better, done in ''Fish-Fry'' mix like most locals use for seafood frying. Hush puppies & O-rings were good, too. Plenty parking on grass, not a problem. Rustic digs, beer bar, order & pay at counter, then table service. Wow! This place is a hidden gem! Tried the Blaise Hamburger, onion rings and crinkle fries! The buns are heavenly, baked fresh daily by a local bakery. Service was excellent! Very cool older building with original heart of pine floors. We will definitely be back to try other menu items. read more

Very fine food! The service was fast, especially given that it was scratch made, not preheated. Neat little building and a couple of tables outside in the shade if you want to bring Fido. I had the soft shell crab po boy, and my wife had the shrimp. Bot were great. We also had the boudin egg rolls, which were a real treat. Totally worth the stop. read more

Spent dang near $40 on 2 burnt burgers ? Something that you'd pay $5 for at a concession stand at a school ball game. The onion rings were over cooked and the fried are just frozen from a bag and they tasted like the freezer. Tried calling to speak to a manager multiple times, they are apparently never available. That's what I get for trying them after the multiple Facebook posts I saw saying to try them. read more

A nice little restaurant in Breaux Bridge. It's under new ownership and the staff was very friendly. Our food got to us quickly and everything was cooked fresh. Brightly lit and nice cold a/c. There were a few TVs on with different football games if that's your thing and a variety of art for sale on the wall. Definitely would recommend getting the onion rings as an appetizer, the dip was amazing! read more

Unexpected wonderful place. Small local joint with really good egg roll appetizer, served with a jalapeño ranch sauce. Service with a smile, friendly. Obviously a lunch favorite with take out. We went on a Saturday evening. They were busy, but not real crowded. We were greeted immediately. They were friendly and helpful as we placed our order at the counter. There was plenty of seating. The restaurant is larger than I expected and has an eclectic vibe. Everything was clean and our meals arrived really quickly. I ordered the shrimp and fish platter. My husband ordered the seafood platter. The portions were plentiful and the food was cooked to perfection. The prices were amazingly reasonable for the quality and quantity of what we received. This small place has a homey, neighborhood kind of vibe with some beautiful art on the walls. I arrived on a Friday @ 6PM and found the place almost full. After ordering and paying at the counter, I found a table in the corner and waited for my food. The food took almost an hour but was worth the wait. The fried frog legs were perfectly cooked and the onion rings were fabulous. Both would have been a bit better with a touch more seasoning but there were no leftovers on my plate. The side salad was run of the mill lettuce, diced tomato,shredded carrot, a few pieces of cucumber, but no croutons, and the small amount of dressing was barely adequate. Additional staff could probably resolve the few flaws, but the food was good enough to warrant my continued patronage. read more

People are great been going here forever been through a few owners but always good food. It has some spice especially in the burgers, but that is what helps make the meal. Let me tell you about the amazing service we received at Jeaux Biffs! I called a few weeks ago and asked to reserve a spot for us to throw a birthday party and I'm so glad I did! On Saturday we celebrated and had the best experience I've had in a long time, it was truly an amazing experience. From the moment we contacted them to reserve tables for our party of 25, the owner and his wife were incredibly accommodating and sweet. They answered all my questions and they even allowed us to come in early to decorate, which made the celebration even more special. When we arrived I had a nice chat with owner and he helped us set up for the party and showed us some of the art work his daughters had made (they have some really beautiful art pieces!) while we waited for the guests to arrive. Once everyone got settled we ordered and they had amazing turn around times for the amount of food we ordered! There were a lot of us all at once and they still managed to get us all our food hot and fresh. The food was absolutely fantastic--every dish was served to perfection, with flavors that left us all raving. From frogs legs and burgers, to fried okra and oysters there wasn't a single complaint among us as we all enjoyed our meal. My mom absolutely raved over the tomatoes on her sandwich as they were so big and juicy. I honestly can't make one single complaint! The service we received was attentive and warm, making us all feel right at home. We couldn't have asked for a better place to host our celebration. Don't buy in to the hype of the 5 reviews. Food was not that good. And hospitality was non existent! They close at 2 and reopen at 4:30. Arrived around 1:15 got our food around 1:30 at 1:50 the server comes and start taking our plates and says we close soon. We weren't even finished eating. So don't go here if you want to finish your meal in peace. If they want you to leave right at 2 then they should of said something before we ordered. We happened upon this small family-run business in Breaux Bridge. I wanted catfish my dining companion, who is Cajun, wanted red beans and rice. We found this restaurant had both and more. The catfish platter came piled high with about 12 nice size pieces of fried catfish upon a pile of fries; a side salad and pieces of fresh, locally baked bread completed this meal. All for $12.50. The red beans and rice with fried catfish and salad platter was more than ample for $8.95. As an appetizer we tried the Crawfish Poppers and were not disappointed. We both were pleased with the portions and the taste. Our waitress, Christine, was very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. When back in this area, we will make it a point to return. read more

The food was good. I phoned in an order of shrimp po-boy with onion rings. The shrimp were excellent. The onions rings were very good. The one thing that I think could be improved is the packaging of the "to go" stuff. The styrofoam type container, in an attempt to keep the food warm, actually...IMHO, kinda lowered the quality of the sandwich. The heat from the food actually made the po-boy and onion rings slightly soggy. I will, on future orders to go, request that the po-boy get wrapped in paper, along with the onion rings. I will gladly sacrifice a warm sandwich for a crispier bread and onion rings. I didn't feel that the "soggy" po-boy should be held against them. On a side note, I would bet that any dish, eaten there, containing fried shrimp would be "bad ass". They were that good. I hope the management reads this post and at least considers a different "to go" packaging. In my opinion, they have the best hamburgers in the area. Very good. read more
