We arrived at 8:59 am and were behind another party (with a reservation) waiting to enter when they opened at 9 am. Within ten minutes of opening, more than half a dozen tables were filled. And this on a December Monday morning when the streets were coated in sheets of ice. But the reputation is well-earned! The place has a hipster vibe. The service was good and the food was remarkably good. We highly recommend.

Small market, cafe spot. The lunch menus starts at 11:30am, a few brunch options are available. Ordered a green tea, oat milk latte, granola, yogurt and berries, chicken teriyaki on quinoa salad, Tex Mex chicken wrap. C$70.31 / $50.19 The oat milk latte is good. The Sencha green tea is in a small pot and it's still rather weak. Tea options needs some work. The Tex Mex wrap is good, the avocado makes any wrap better. The wrap was grilled up and packed. The granola and yogurt with blueberries was just okay, some granola pieces were quite hard to chew on. Not special. The granola here could use some quality checks. The chicken teriyaki isn't bad, light teriyaki seasoning. A healthy dose of quinoa bed salad. Felt like a light meal after consumption. Service was so-so, not super attentive or friendly.

Best spot we've had in Canada so far. The breakfast menu with the skillet and the pancakes was absolutely delicious. A friend and I split the two of them. I also got a maple latte which was delicious as well. Places super cute, staff is friendly, and our waitress did a great job very attentive. Five out of five.

Cafe Americano which is our go to anytime traveling outside the US.

A great menu to choose from with classics like Eggs Benedict or to an iron skillet with scrambled eggs, meat, potatoes, baked beans, and more. Didn't have that because it was huge but smelled awesome. Quaint store/market as you enter and then led into the dining room which is well laid out. Space between tables unique for the area. Breathing room galore. Server was very attentive even after the place filled up behind us. Food presentation was inviting and the quality was great. Would highly recommend and certain I'll return.

Wonderful mocha and hot chocolate. Got the orange mocha one day and it tasted like a high quality bite of a fine creamy dark orange chocolate bar. Got the white hot chocolate another day and while the flavor profile didn't fully align with my tastes, it was clearly high quality and my partner loved it (I also did still enjoy it). It it would be perfect for someone who likes goat milk, since it had something like that slightly grassy earthy flavor. We also enjoyed the duck confit eggs benedict, the outdoor cafe atmosphere, and the attentive service. Cute shop inside with some great picks (I enjoy Qantu but have a more limited selection in the states!).

What a cute cafe in montreal! I forgot what the name I got, but it was an eggs benedict with smoked salmon. It sounded so good all three of my friends and i got it and it was so good. Our waitress was very sweet and kind and gave us recommendations. I got the orange chocolate coffee and although i asked for it iced, it did come out hot, but nonetheless it was still really good hot. Would recommend coming!

Le Cartet is one of our favorite brunch spots in Montreal. We try to visit every time we are in town, and at this point have been at least 5 times. The food is delicious, including excellent benedicts and breakfast sandwiches. We have had consistently great service, and servers were very patient and understanding our last two visits when our party included a small child. Along with food and great coffee, Le Cartet also has to-go items for sale, including local beers and ciders. A great place all around.

Yummy brunch spot in downtown Montreal! Service is good and the restaurant is very cute. Seemed like a lot of locals were eating here. Golden latte was excellent (had it with oat milk because they were out of coconut milk), not sweet but had a nutty quality. Nordique was very filling, I felt the price was ok considering the amount of food and the location.

Absolutely loved this place- definitely gives you that French bistro vibe, which is exactly what you want when searching for brunch in Montreal! We had a party of 5 on a Saturday morning and despite there being a line outside, we only had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated, which was reasonable. I cannot overemphasize how friendly the staff was as well. We were going to order dessert at the same time as our meal, and the waitress suggested we hold off because we would probably be full, and boy was she right! The food was OUTSTANDING! I ordered the Toscan, which is eggs Benedict...and it wound up being the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. We also had the croissant egg, cheese, and scrambled eggs....and again even though it is such a simple meal, something about it was so delicious. The croissant itself was the perfect combo of crispy and soft. Would 100% recommend you come here if you are in this part of town.

Delightful restaurant with a deli and coffee take away section. The communal tables have plexiglass for safety. The food was delicious- especially the simple salad dressing. And goat cheese in eggs is genius. Great location close enough to walk to metro and notre dame. I enjoyed seeing the kitchen staff because it looked like the enjoyed their job. The wait staff have a sink in sight so you can see they wash their hands. Bathrooms were clean too.

Loved this breakfast place in Montreal! Neat, clean and modern! The friendliest servers so early in the morning too! Food was fresh and came to our table so quickly! Our coffees were delicious. We ordered the Sante and the nordique. I can't say enough for how good it was. Such a nice surprise! A friend recommend this spot and I am so glad she did!!! And.... I must say the washroom was spot on. I have a little OCD so it was nice to see this up to par.

We first visited Le Cartet for brunch a year ago and couldn't wait to go back on our next trip to Montréal. Both times, everyone in our party raved about the food. Best place we've been to for brunch in North America. Yes... I'm serious.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

Bar George is a stunning contemporary British restaurant located in Montreal's historic Le Mount…read moreStephen. While the restaurant is highly celebrated and located within a Michelin-recognized hotel building, it does not hold a Michelin star of its own. But it is extremely classy. We decided to do lunch instead of dinner and it was a little more our speed, but if very, very attentive waitstaff is not your thing and $200 for lunch I'd skip this spot. We went because it had reviews for amazing beef Wellington and my husband hadn't had any in decades. And we were on vacation so let's go! The food was beautifully plated and service was impeccable inside of an amazingly decorated dining room that looked like a library in a mansion. The meals themselves weren't obscenely expensive but add a glass a wine, bread (it was not included) and coffee and it put us close to $200. But it was a great experience and I had never had beef Wellington - it was melt in your mouth good. Might go again next time we come up from CT.
