This place was awesome!! On our recent trip to Paris, we were looking for a tasty dinner place, and were in the mood for fondue. We found this place after looking on Yelp. The restaurant was relatively easy to find from our hotel via the metro. Once here, we found the restaurant to have great ambience, and it was a very cute, modern, cozy place. We were sat down pretty quickly, and we were given menus. Unfortunately for us, my French fluency is very limited at best, understanding maybe 10% of French on a good day, so the lack of English menus was a little bit of a problem. Nevertheless we used trusty Google to try to further elucidate the dining options. While we thought we had ordered fondue, we ended up ordering Raclette! so it was a funny surprise when the waiter brought over a huge thing of cheese in a little heating contraption! We laughed a little at first since we were like ok! I guess we did not order fondue! but it was a cool and fun experience for us. This was our first time eating Raclette so we did not know how to go about eating it. Initially I placed the heating planks next to the cheese so a huge amount of smoke started appearing and suddenly I saw a bunch of French people smiling and smirking - clearly we were not doing this the right way! The owner promptly came over and showed us, our waiter changed the cheese, and we gave it another try. As we were waiting for the cheese to melt, I took another stab at this new experience and started slicing the cheese off - again I was encountered by some French smiles which gave me another indication that I was doing this wrong again! Lol. Our waiter came over and explained that we should let the cheese melt off and then eat it with the knife like contraption! Once we got this down, it was delicious! We were given bread, and we used the cheese and meats (prosciutto, salami, etc) to make a tasty sandwich like meal. Truly unique and delicious! They also brought over baked potatoes, which my husband enjoyed. We only got one and it was more than enough for 2 people. We also gave the chocolate fondue a try - it came with strawberries, bananas and apples. It was delicious!! Probably our funnest meal in Paris! Would definitely recommend going to this place. If you are an American tourist with limited or non-existent French proficiency, would also recommend having your phone/google translate handy so you know what's on the menu. read more
