Pros: Probably the…read morecleanest hostel I've ever been to, they were cleaning details like railings etc daily The rooms are cleaned often with fresh towels daily The beds are pretty comfortable The people who stayed were all courteous and respectful . I felt ok leaving my big suitcase in the room unlocked, and locked my smaller items in the cubbies. One time I left the key in the lock all Day and it was fine Lively bar, but not hostel prices. Cons: Dorms are very small and 6 to a room, i touched the girl next to me in the next bed with my foot as we didn't have a bunk and the two beds were so close The rooms have windows that do not open so it gets pretty stuffy, everyone was snoring Lockers are not free for large items, and it's not near the rooms. there is no free storage after check out or before check in. No activities or tours available Vending machine water was almost 4 euro. Overall an ok value for the money (43 Euro for a dorm bed in May) but only bc there is not much cheap in the city. I enjoyed my stay but it's a pricey city and the hostel follows suit.

The hotel is clean and somewhat modern. Breakfast is good. Room service menu is limited and just okay.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Marriott Grand Place Hotel. The location is perfect, it's between 2…read moresubway stops & walking distance to everything. We arrived at 12:30 stood online to check in, 3 times, getting into room #458 at 4:20. Funny we got a message that our room was ready at 9:30 pm. When we checked out, we were told that we did not have the Superior room, we did not have a special room. Sabrin apologized for the heat, and very small room without any upgrades that we were provided. We were given a card with the contact information for the hotel manager. We will reach out with photos and our review. A complementary breakfast buffet was served in the lobby until 10:30 during the week and 11 o'clock on weekends. There are snacks, beer & wine in executive lounge from 5:30 until 7:30. We were given a voucher for a free drink with dinner at the restaurant around the back however, there was never a soul there. Our room has a safe, Nespresso, teapot, iron and a bottle of water. Our room was over a noisy street where we heard partiers, sirens, traffic and early morning cleanup & garbage removal with the window closed. The hallway was cooler than our room even though we had the fan on the highest on the air conditioning on the lowest, we don't feel cool air. The very warm issue was mentioned at the front desk to Sabri, July ... We opened the window 2 inches from the top just to get some air, yet early morning it sounded like a construction site inside. The water pressure was good. The bed and linens were dorm like. The wifi was slow. There were 3 elevators, 1 was working, it was often full & very slow. There is no staircase for guests, only a service staircase. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet there were fresh breads, fruits, pastries, cheese, meats, fruits, salmon, candy, make your own waffles & crepes. I enjoyed my custom made Belgian omelet with chicken sausage & home fries. There were juices & a fancy cappuccino machine. Wine, beer, sodas & small snacks made happy hour pleasant. However, there was an issue with flies on the food. The replenishing and clean up at breakfast and happy hour was inconsistent. Frequently we saw flies in the food and our drinking glasses.

The hotel wasn't luxurious, but the room was a decent size -- much better than XO Hotel Inner in Amsterdam. However, like nearly every hotel in Europe, the room was too warm, and we had to keep the windows open at all times to get any relief. No major complaints, aside from the area being quite noisy, and one night, there were people outside blasting their music late into the night. No noise from other rooms, though. The hotel had a small bar and "restaurant" that sold a few basic low quality items, such as pizza -- a lifesaver if you were starving and not picky, but not a place for a meal. They did have a decent breakfast buffet though, although it did cost something like €15. Not cheap, but at least the food was pretty good quality (unlike the awful breakfast at XO Hotel Inner!). There weren't laundry facilities in the hotel, but they were close to a laundromat, which we very much needed in the middle of a three week trip. Overall, a decent hotel for a good price. I loved Brussels, I wasn't a fan of chocolate but after going here I fell in love and eat a piece of Europe all the time now. Still have a stock pile of delicious treats from Brussels and even though it was cold I am glad, super happy that they did have hot water. The bed was nice and comfy but yes like many people say it is small but they do have wi-fi soo that is a bonus too! :) On a budget and traveling in Europe you might as well check this place out.
