I really only get their frozen mint lemonade here (which is amazing btw). However me and my boyfriend come here every year because their service is amazing, it has a great atmosphere, and the food is pretty fairly priced for being on the strip. I forgot the chefs name, but she is the absolute sweetest woman ever and an incredibly talented self taught chef. I was astounded by how amazing her food was and asked her if she had any culinary training in France, but she said she didn't and was self taught. She is truly a talented chef. If she opens this restaurant in Los Angeles, where I'm from she'd make a killing. The lobster bacon sandwich is truly top notch. The flavors, the way she prepares the lobster, the sauce, choice in bread, I mean everything is just perfect. The lobster lasagna, which is a special is to die for, so if you go on a day they have it order it. The sautéed calamari for appetizers is soo perfectly cooked and the flavor is amazing as well. Last year we discovered this gem. We could not wait to visit their new location on the main drag here in Cozumel the new location is quaint and offers a beautiful view of the ocean. Stopped by hoping to get the lobster BLT but it is a little out of my lunch budget at 435 pesos. I went with the fish sandwich instead and it was fantastic as well as the fries. Sweet owner, fast friendly service and good food! The bisque was flavorful with a tasty combo of seasonings - there isn't any lobster chunks though which was slightly disappointing. The lobster burger is what this place is known for - the bacon was chewy and delicious and lobster was cooked perfectly. It's made w 3 slices of bread - which I could have passed on. Amazing meal but also kinda pricey so I'm going to go with a 3 stars rating. Worth trying if you've got some money to throw at it. read more

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I'm not sure there are other words that are more appropriate. The food and service at Le Chef is second-to-none on the island. The Lobster and Bacon sandwich is a MUST if you're on the island. The flavors are married perfectly and the sandwich is spectacular. We also tried the Ancho chili and shrimp pizza. A fellow diver recommended the Lobster and Bacon sandwich here. We were walking around and surprisingly stumbled across this place. They had outdoor seating, which was nice. The waitress was friendly, we came around lunch and there were only a few people eating. I ordered the infamous sandwich, husband order the roast beef. Our sandwiches came promptly and smelled really good. I expected kind of like a New England lobster sandwich with mayo and chunks of lobster. This was not it. It was chunks of lobster sauteed with pesto, sandwich between wheat toast with some cheese. It was a tasty sandwich, but kind of heavy. I couldn't finish it all myself. It also could've used some acid to cut down all the grease. It also could have been a few dollars less. It was basically equivalent to a $20 sandwich. But nonetheless, it was a tasty little lobster sandwich. I love seeing lobster on the menu everywhere in Cozumel! read more

Tuna steak sesame seeded (yum!) with coconut and peanut sauce (didn't need or especially like). I got extra veggies and no rice. Wonderful presentation with veggies arranged artfully. The lobster bacon sandwich was also recommended to me but I don't eat bread. So instead I got the caprese--- fantastic!!! Then I got the mahi mahi with lobster mushroom sauce and steamed vegetables. They also bring out some crostini with olive oil garlic and diced tomatoes on top. I scraped off the tomatoes and ate those. Then I got about 5 glasses of pineapple juice. I ate outside at the cafe tables. Le chef is across from a bodybuilding gym so you can eat and watch the show of locals pumping iron. Also Le chef has good wi-Fi. The server will give u the password. Love love love the lobster bacon sandwich, you cannot go wrong... It's bacon and lobster!!! But anything on the menu works. Cozumel is a wonderful safe place to visit. Get off the main drag and experience outstanding food and for a price that will amaze you. Keep in mind drinking is about the same price anywhere you go in the world but the food is absolutely amazing. You are on an island so fresh seafood is the only thing to realistically be ordering, if you are a steak and potato person... You are not going to find a great steak here... Cows do not swim over from the mainland. Go to Texas to get a steak but come to Cozumel for some of the best seafood in the world. read more

We've been in Cozumel for over a week, and this has been the worst experience we've had. We are a totally understanding group, we understand we're tourists and don't speak the language. But, at Le Chef they delivered all of our meals at different times. Beyond that, they just straight up forgot about my dinner. I pointed to the menu at the specific item I wanted, and they tried to deliver two other dishes that I didn't order. I kindly showed them what I ordered a second time, and by the time the served me they cleared everyone else's plate-- they had already ate and finished!! Such a bummer. read more

Absolutely DISGUSTING customer service. My wife was disappointed with her Greek salad because it was 99 percent lettuce. The waiter did not care and did not apologise. Then, when it came to pay the far-too-high bill, their machine went wrong and did not print proof of transaction. My banking app showed the payment had been made but they would not accept that. They made us wait in the restaurant for 40 minutes while they investigated. The manager sent rude messages via WhatsApp, instead of trying to deal with the situation amicably and with respect. I left my contact details and the next day got a very rude email from them saying that they had not received the money and "do not come back", then telling me I'm arrogant and entitled when I replied that the money had left my bank account and had been paid to them. I obtained proof of payment from my bank, including the Authorisation Code, and emailed it to them. I think I'll be waiting a long time for an apology. What a disgusting way to treat paying customers. We had not planned to return anyway because the food was not great and was seriously over-priced. read more

We walked by Le Chef on our way to a restaurant we had been to last time we were in Cozumel. We came on Trip Advisor, noticed the good reviews and decided to give it a try. We split the Lobster Bacon sandwich (without mayo or pesto) and it was seriously incredible. Definitely wanted to steal my husband's half off of his plate! My husband also had the Chicken Tortilla soup which was great. Came with two pieces of bread for dipping as well. I ordered the Spinach and Salmon salad and loved it as well. Spinach was shredded like the lettuce you'd put on a taco, mandarin oranges, onion and goat cheese balls topped the salad in addition to the salmon. I almost forgot, we were treated with free bruschetta appetizer as well. This is definitely not a place to skip. Oh, and if you walk by and see the inside empty, it's because the back (outdoor) is being used. It is beautiful back there; unfortunately it rained so we had to move inside, but it's cute inside as well. Great place for dinner! read more

A nice haute cozumelian take on Mediterranean French cuisine. I was unlucky enough by gringo standards to catch barracuda, but the raw liver was sweet and deemed safe to eat. The chef prepared it flawlessly for me with a variety of savoury very French guarde mother sauces and a beautiful ancho chilli sauce. The outdoor patio was so peaceful and serene. The lobster sandwich was different than the Maine lobster rolls I have grown accustomed to, but when served with the French baguette reminiscent of po boy bread from New Orleans....fantastic. Tuna tartare excellent though different than the normal rare tuna I am used to. A must go to off the beaten path. read more
