He said the nachos tasted disgusting to him. We went back to our room, and about 3 hours later I woke up and immediately started projectile vomiting. I spent most of the night in the bathroom feeling like I was going to die. I thought the imitation crab tasted a little off, but just chalked it up to being different than what I'm used to in the states. Big MISTAKE. I've managed to slow down in the vomiting and trips to the bathroom but I still feel awful. Nauseated, headache (probably from dehydration), stomach pain and back pain....I assume that's from how hard I was retching. We will never go back. Food poisoning is not something I give any additional chances for. If you've had it, you understand.

And a visit to Coz has become a must for me. The aforementioned avocado toast. And the smoothie made with yogurt, honey, avocado and a dash of espresso. It looks grayish, but ignore that, as it is very tasty. The coffee is really excellent. And I now find myself buying a pound to bring back. I've found that it brews nicely with an Aeropress and with a Chemex. Different methods of extraction but both are enjoyable. I default to the standard James Hoffmann recipe for the Aeropress, alternating with the Jonathon Gagne recipe. For Chemex, I use the FourSix method. Highly highly recommended.

The empanadas were served iced and had a good amount of filling. Heavily fried, the meat one was pleasantly spicy and the cheese and pepper (very interesting pepper I can't recall the unusual name) was very good as well. The tea was brewed fresh and made iced to order. The "cookie" we had was light and although the filling was decadent, I don't believe it was over-the-top sweet. It was cool to see other desserts on the counter which we were unfamiliar with. It took restraint not to order more sweets. The English speaking diners in there claimed the food was delicious and I thought their meals all looked excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. I would return here again if in the area.
