I decided to do a self guided coffee tour of Cozumel and this was one of the stops. The cafe is very cute. They have an assortment of sweets but nothing gluten free. Amazingly fresh and delicious French breakfast - definitely go here! I got the French breakfast which came with three eggs, salad, bread and OJ (or coffee if you'd rather have that). The eggs came sunny side up - perfectly cooked with the yolks plenty runny for dipping the baguette. The baguette you could tell was freshly baked - crispy and flaky - YUM! My side of potatoes was also fantastic - with plenty of onions and bacon providing great flavor and crunch. The OJ also tasted very fresh. My friend got the French brekky also - along with a crepe that he couldn't stop raving about. Plus the waiter was very friendly and fast. What a gem! I am so glad my husband and I decided to try this place out. For only 90 pesos he got scrambled eggs, a 7 inch baguette with jam and butter, small salad, and a cup of coffee. I ordered the eggs Benedict with avocado and tomato. The hollandaise was perfect. The avocado fresh. And even the simple side salad was wonderful. I also had the chai frappe and a croissant. I think the chai was Oregon chai (which I happen to like) but it wasn't blended all the way (not a big deal.) The croissant stole the show. This review is over a year late, but after being stuck at home for a year and dreaming of my last vacation, I decided it was time to wax philosophic and talk about the life changing croissants at Sucre Sale. During our stay on Cozumel, our hotel offered free breakfast. On our second morning, we had an early reservation in town and decided to skip the hotel breakfast and eat closer to our excursion. Woah. This place was so fantastic, we ended up eating here three times. Not only were the croissants fantastic, but the Mexican food cooked with French skill was just divine. And I am pretty sure the butter was home made. I cannot wait to come back to Cozumel just to eat here again. read more

Spouse odered Mexican bfast. Asked for his eggs overeasy. The young waitress did not understand. Found the worst in spanish she still had no idea. Asked another waitress she understood and explained it but they still came out sunny side up. I odered the Benny bacon and spinach with cheese as an extra.cheese came out on the potatoes and I crunched my first few bits it was definitely eggshells. And, the choices on the menu are plentiful. The service is attentive and friendly. They welcome questions to help guide you through the choices. The atmosphere as I said is relaxed, with a lot of light in the room. The location is very convenient just a few blocks off the city center. All in all, the reasons above are why I go back so often.
