I am beyond disappointed. I asked them to service my generator. They said no problem. The technician told me that he was unable to fix it, and that I should only be charged for a basic service call. The company charged me for 2.5 hours of work and said that even though they couldn't fix it, I still owed the money. They never explained this when I set the appointment. So the service tech (who actually did the work) said minimal charge, but the greedy owners said no... you are going to get gouged. Unbelievable! Avoid them like the plague. Here's my story. I bought a house with a out building that was used as a hobby garage. It was serviced with a metal armilite conduit with 12 ga wire and it was powering a minisplit a/c unit, multiple outlets, and a pool motor with 220VAC. L-E Electric was 1 of 3 contractors I called, but when Paul showed up, he talked the talk. This man has Watt's Law running through his veins. If negative stars were an option, I would go there. They gave us one verbal quote and the final bill they sent was 4x that. I talked with an electrician friend about the itemized bill and he was flabergasted at the mark ups. I am still fighting with them about a bill that should have been a couple hundred bucks. This a great outfit. I had them run a new 200 amp service and 160 feet of conduit. All the people working were professional and expedite. The quote was spot on what I would expect to pay and the final number was with in a few dollars of the quote. This company had excellent communication the entire way. Came to give an estimate for upgrading my service and running 220 to my new outbuilding. He said about 6000m and I asked Alan to please break down the estimate into service upgrade 100 amps to 200 amps, installing service on my house, and running service to my outbuilding. He said he would. When the estimate arrived, it was 9000 with no breakdown and no explanation. I called and said, you didn't break it down. In a I-could-care-less voice he said I didn't feel like it. I would not trust these guys to change a light bulb. Hang on to your wallet. read more

I moved into a house in Las Cruces a bit over a year ago. Late last year we decided to install solar panels, but because the city was overloaded the inspectors were not able to come the finished job until late January. When they showed up, they discovered that an upgrade to our electrical system had been made, but not been inspected. Somehow electricity had been restored to the house without an inspection. Fortunately, the inspector did not shut off power to the house, but made it clear that the solar can not be turned on until the situation is resolved. My solar company investigated and found LE Electric had pulled a permit for the work, but never applied for an inspection. According to the solar company, LE said they would arrange for an inspection. But when it came time for an inspection, the City inspector noted that the permit had expired. Fortunately, I picked a good solar company. Frustrated that things are taking so long, The solar company decided to pull a permit for the work that they didn't do and take responsibility for getting things sorted out. Inspection has not happened yet, but hopefully the work was done correctly. Judging from what I know of LE so far though, I'm not very optimistic. Bottom line, the delay caused by LE Electric's failure to get an inspection has cost me at least a couple month of solar power, which I imagine is several hundred dollars. And, in the end, another company has had to assume responsibility for problems they did not create. Failure to get an inspection is a stunning lack of professionalism, and failure to make things right is unforgivable. I'd encourage people who need electrical work to find a more reputable company. read more

First of all, they sent over Jeremiah with four apprentices. They stated the work that had to be done would take one day, in which it took about four days. I don't believe they charged me for the extra work. They had an extreme amount of trouble installing two large Minka ceiling fans. They had to come back because all the wall outlets they installed were crooked or uneven. Then the service manager who seems to me to be a very little person and very unprofessional stated that they would not come back out to my house again for any kind of work. I find this totally unprofessional and I will never use them again and I certainly would never send anyone their business. If I was the owner of this company I would fire the service manager. I have lived in Las Cruces often on since 1975 and I have never had a business tell me that they would not do any work for me anymore. What kind of idiocy is this? Who does that? If these guys have so much work that they just tell customers they're not coming back ever to their house and I would suggest nobody use this place. I hope the owner reads this, and I would like to know what the owner thinks about his service manager telling his customers that they are not interested in my business anymore. Unreal. read more

I called them at 8:30am to schedule a appointment for the guys to come fix items needed for me to close on my house. Honestly, the appointment supervisor said they had two guys they could send out at 10am. The two employees (Chris & Ryan) worked from 10 until 2pm and they fixed the code violations and completed the work. As good an experience one can hope for. GREAT JOB! read more

I would give zero stars if that was an option. First, they took several weeks to get the first appointment scheduled. This business scheduled two following appointments and did not show up for either appointment. I guess it was an improvement that they called 4 hours later when they didn't show for the third appointment. Clearly an unprofessional and unreliable business. read more

The electricity in my garage went out and I needed to have it repaired quickly since I had two freezers full of meat out there. LE Electric responded quickly and fixed the problem with professionalism at an affordable price. They were very patient with all of my questions and were very neat.
