I went to a private party here. A nice rental space with ample parking, 3 clean bathrooms, a stage, bar setups, kitchen space, foyer/green room space and a patio. Great event space for wedding, receptions, and other parties. Plenty of bathrooms, regular rooms, and outdoor area. The staff is very helpful, and great food as well. The only cons to this place was the parking. Once the main parking lot fills up, there's more parking behind another building, so expect to walk a tad bit. Nothing wrong with walking, but for those that hate it...might want to forewarn them. If you need a quick stop at the gas station, there is one located right down the street. read more

We hosted a 250 person gala at Le Fais Do-Do this past weekend and could not be any happier with the venue and service. We arrived around 2pm for our event that started at 6pm, and for four hours, I watched the staff work tirelessly to arrange tables, chairs, centerpieces, and to make sure we did not miss any details. Everyone there has a great working relationship and the staff even joked with us as we were preparing our items. Amateurs by no means, the staff timed everything perfectly, with the last centerpiece lit right before our first guests arrived. Marie, the owner, is such a sweet lady and a treasure to work with. With her hair in a messy bun, I watched her work tirelessly, running from room to room, making sure everything was in place for our event. She even took it upon herself to install our banner, something I would never expect from a lady half my size! I called her a superwoman several times and I truly meant it. I have never seen an owner of an establishment work as hard as Marie. When our event took off, Marie instantly took the form of proud establishment host and venue planner, changing into a blazer and proper attire to meet and mingle with some of our guests. We requested several last-minute items and Marie and her staff met all of our needs with prompt action. We would not hesitate to host another event here and I could not be more delighted with the staff and service. Definitely top notch! read more

If I could give Zero stars I would. BUYER BEWARE!!! Hired Marie to be my decorator and had to fire her due to to her utter lack of commitment and professionalism. She didn't deliver anything and kept giving me and my coordinator the runaround as to why she couldn't meet us or give me the mock ups/design concepts she claimed she could deliver. I made all the payments on time and in full, and even though I was only doing a reception, she was charging almost 9k. A month out my coordinator finally got a hold of her and she said she was Out the country in Italy until a couple days before my wedding, August 20th, this was July 7th. On top of that she had the audacity to say she wasn't going to use the concept designs we discussed nor the pictures i sent now because she claimed it "Got in the way of her creativity" At that point I was livid and fired her. I gave her a chance to give my money back before i got my lawyers involved. She refused to give me my money back and I am having to Sue her for my refund, the money for the new Decorator I had to find last minute and pain and suffering. No Bride should have to go through the stress and anxiety, Marie Andujar, Le Fais Do-Do owner, put me and my husband through. Visited Le Fais Do-Do for a large art event. As an attendee to something held here and not someone asking to hold an event I thought the space was very beautiful and well done. The owner or someone in management of the space was walking about later in the night as the event was ending and asking people's thoughts on the location and space wanting honest feedback. I have nothing really negative to say about the space--- other than at some point it got extremely warm for a winter event, but otherwise it was a nice evening out. Do yourself a favor and find another venue. The venue is beautiful, but the owner's lack of professionalism, failure to communicate in a timely fashion, and her last minute mentality makes it an additional headache for any soon to be bride. I got married here in April of 2014. Prior to the wedding Marie missed multiple scheduled meetings and walkthroughs. She took months to respond to emails, texts, and calls (that's if she ever responded). On the day of my wedding Marie the venue owner called and informed us that our wedding would have to start an hour early because she never checked her email to see what time the wedding was actually supposed to start. Many of my guests and vendors commented that her staff was rude to them (including my mother, who is rude to the mother of the bride). A few of my vendors even told me that they would never do another event at this venue. My suggestion for anyone looking for a space to do a wedding and reception is to keep looking. Marie draws you in with all of the can-dos when she is initially showing the venue, but trust me it is all fluff. You spend entirely to much money on a wedding to have to put up with her. It's a beautiful place but not worth the stress. stay away!! read more

An organization I work with just held a huge tech conference at Le Fais Do-Do. Marie helped us execute it flawlessly and in a short timeframe. Marie knows how to handle last minute hiccups, multiple vendors and tech nerds - that's for sure. She could probably do it in her sleep. She's well known in the community for her quirky venue and has wonderful taste. She helped our tech conference look incredible and people were raving about the venue. The event featured a multitude of designers showcasing a myriad of styles. Unlike the designers' showroom next door, a brightly lit vast expanse of wares, the space at Le Fais Do Do was sultry, classy, and mesmerizing, without being pretentious. From lighting to event designers, clothing to furniture, the event managed to at once highlight the infinite possibilities of the space and to lure the attendees in to a vast array of magical installations. Where do I start??? It's only been a few days since our wedding reception and ceremony at Le Fais Do-Do and I already want to go back and have another party there!! I'll start back in January of 2012 when we began looking at venues for our wedding. We called around to a few places but nothing really jumped out at us until we found Le Fais Do-Do online. We made an appointment and made our way to Ellsworth Industrial Blvd. I'll be honest, at first glance we were a little bit hesitant since the location is not what you would expect for an amazing event place. As we walked inside though, we were met with an amazing space full of character and tons of small details. The space is simply stunning and it was not even decorated when we came to visit for the first time. We met Marie, the owner, who showed us around and gave us a brief history of the location. She was full of energy and passion, you can clearly tell that she loves what she does. She was very interested in our ideas for a non-traditional event and immediately began throwing out ideas of how to accomplish what we wanted. The conversation flowed effortlessly as she came up with more and more ideas from decorations to logistics and everything in between. As we left Le Fais Do-Do, both of us had decided that it was going to be THE place before we even discussed it with each other. The months flew by as the date quickly arrived. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, we stayed in touch with Marie regarding the different vendors and some decorating aspects. We did not give Marie much direction for decorating and when I saw the almost finished product the day before our wedding, I was blown away! Everything was done so well and with so much class that I couldn't believe that this was being done for us! I'm not great with decorating but all I can say is that there is no way that we could have ever come up with anything remotely close to what Marie did for us with very little direction from my wife and myself. Some more praise for Marie before I finish my novel of a review. About a week before our event, my now father in law contacted Marie about possibly having a tv set up so that some of our guests could keep an eye on the Georgia-Missouri football game the same night of the wedding. Once again, Marie went above and beyond by setting up an entire area specifically dedicated to the game. She had it projected on the wall with couches set up all around so that people can lounge around and watch the game. This was a huge hit with everyone and I was very impressed how Marie pulls out all the stops for her clients. I can't say enough good things about Le Fais Do-Do! I'll simply finish with this, as my wife Jess and I briefly sat down to eat during the reception, we said to each other that if people are not having their receptions at Le Fais Do-Do, they are missing out!! read more

In February 2011, I produced a show there + had a very negative experience working with the staff. Communication was spotty, payment was promised to us + it never materialized. There seemed to be a lack of organization + inability to comprehend event logistics by the owner. Don't get me wrong, the venue is a beautiful palace of vintage style but I warn anyone working with them to have a contract and multiple witnesses to verify information. read more

I hosted my wedding at Le Fais do-do and I am very appreciative of everything they did during our magical day. Le Fais do-do went above and beyond my expectations of a wedding venue and couldn't be happier with how the night turned out. I loved the venue itself because I was able to do nearly anything I wanted. There is so much space, I was able to set up a large photo booth area that accomodated more than 40 people at times, a dance floor, a ceremony area, dining space and more with plenty of room to spare. Maybe greater than the venue itself was the service I recieved. I am very much a do-it-yourselfer and had a lot of ideas on how I wanted the event to happen. When I explained this to the operator Marie, she was very understanding. Ultimately, I didn't expect her to do much the night of the event, but of course, as these things often go, there were many situations unplanned for (oops). Luckily, Marie was ready. She helped more than I can possibly thank her for. I'd highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to plan a wedding or other event. read more

Yelp's Masquerade Ball was held here one year.. don't know why I never reviewed the place! It was my first Yelp event and it was pretty whimsical. One section was dedicated to the free appetizers from various food vendors. We arrived kind of late so most of them had left or ran out of food at that point. There was a nifty photo booth / area with OMG Booth where we got some quality pictures taken to remember the night. The DJ had music playing all night long and there were pretty people in dresses, suits, and masks everywhere. This was probably one of the most memorable events I had ever been to, thanks to Le Fais Do-Do letting Kathleen use their space. Oh, but parking is horrible though. :/ read more

This is a visiting experience review ONLY... My fiancé and I visited this venue in order to decide whether to book it for our wedding. Marie was quite nice. We had a pleasant conversation and enjoyed our time with her. I remember she was very clear about budget and not expecting a fairy tale whimsical wedding while having a low captial. She was firm not rude almost like a parent would speak to a child with their heads in the clouds. She walked us through the spaces she had available and it was truly a huge space. She had several suggestions on how to use the space and what she could offer. Her warehouse is packed with almost anything that you can dream up for an event. However, we decide not to use Le Fais Do-Do because it was too far out for us as we live in Lawrenceville. The commute from the church would be almost an hour which I considered highly unreasonable to ask of my guests. Looking for a pleasant experience??? Look no further, just make sure you can budget well and stay within your budget because she has some pretty tempting beautiful packages. :) read more

A great event place with lots of rooms for smaller areas (cake, punch, drinks, food...etc) The Masquerade (Yelp style) had a ton of people, but it never felt over crowded. If you needed a break from the crowd, just walk to another room. The main room was perfect for dancing and listening to the DJ. I attended a wedding at Le Fais Do-Do this weekend. First off - don't be turned off by the strip mall location. The venue itself is nice and offers a unique canvas for whatever event you might choose to hold here. I was particularly impressed by the Versailles-ish area where the ceremony was held. The decor in the room would really appeal to someone who's a fan of French architecture. The other areas were less distinct - but more flexible. Its a nice location for a moderate sized wedding - ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in the same place! And the price point for a venue in Atlanta is awesome! read more

I found myself in charge of planning my family reunion and I was unsure where to start. I'm so thankful for the referral to Ms. Marie. Every time I think about my wedding day I can't help but cry. This review is from the perspective of a bride. It's not tears of joy, but it's tears of regret. Our wedding day was a disaster. Initially when you meet Marie she does woe you and tells you of all she will do and can offer which naturally causes you to want to use the facility. Pros: yes the decor was beautiful, my fruit stand was beautiful. Cons: wedding planner, security staff, thousands if dollars worth of payments by cash only is what Le Fais requires, weird. We paid for day of coordination but on our day Marie was unable to be our coordinator so we had one planner Chavon and a service manager Lolita. During the wedding my MOH and parents ended up giving directions most of the time, it seems like planner just got overwhelmed. We arrived at 2pm 2hrs before our wedding, the planner was not there because wardrobe malfunction. Vendors were starting to come in, my parents had to give them direction as I was getting ready. We did have rehearsal the day before wedding and everything that we rehearsed was like non existent, our family was ordered incorrectly to walk in despite rehearsal and despite me texting Marie the list of family names that would be walking down the aisle, as requested. Staff: staff was found storing our alcohol and misc items in the back of facility in bins. I'm not sure if they intended on taking it or what but if we were not aware of this the alcohol would have been theirs. At the end of the night my parents noted it and instructed all the groomsmen to take our alcohol out of the containers in the back.staff were also noted taking food from our buffet in to go boxes, sad thing is some of my guests did not eat because food ran out but the serving staff sure did. I do think the wedding planner got overwhelmed a lot. Lolita was great, at one point Lolita started giving planner and vendors instructions. At one point the planner asked to her "what would you like me to do" Overall my guests did not notice any of the disorganization; in fact everyone seemed to have fun and enjoy the atmosphere except for hubby and I because we saw the faults. I did enjoy the decor the wedding was beautiful but of course we paid for every single little detail. Best part of wedding day that we want to remember was our photo booth and it's staff Robotbooth. read more

Lithonia High School's 2019 prom was held at this elegant and classy venue and we actually christened this new facility!!!! Our prom theme was "DIAMONDS IN THE SKY" and Marie gave us just that!!!! Her prom package deals are well worth it and was overly accommodating to our additional needs of decor request!!! This will go down as one the BEST proms ever! Hosted a Silent Auction for a local school here. Although I had never heard of Le Fais before, I was pleased with the space considering its industrial location and thought it easy to find as it is only two turns away from I-75. Plenty of parking and good flow inside made the event work considering the 300+ people plus all the tables of items, stage, and catering. Marie was very polite, easy to work with, and accommodating of the host team. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Alot of the reviews on this space have been removed. This is the worst location in Atlanta, Ga. by far!!! Location is gorgeous. However, owner was a horror! She was very professional and informative at first. Once we paid our deposit, we were never able to get this woman on the phone, again!!! She would take 6 to 10 days to respond and it was only in text or email. Sometimes, she would not even respond. I made a visit to the space before my wedding and she was all over the place. She even went on an hr rant talking about African Americans, Africans and Indian events. I guess because we were Caucasians she assumed we were racists, too. I told her I was uncomfortable with that conversation. She kept referencing one of her African American clients as "that gal". Horrible!!! She said she hates Africans and Indians in her place because they stink and are beneath her. On the day before our event, she sprang another list of fees totaling close to $1k that she had not discussed to us. The water was off in the venue and the gas was off! It was so cold! Go take a tour and ask to use the bathroom. The water is off!!! She told us about all her inventory and then sprang another enormous bill on us telling us we could use it but there were charges for each item. She made us pay for mandatory security that was her 2 workers that clean the building! When I asked her why we couldn't get the real security, she said it was my fault for not finalizing my number. I called this woman for 4 months and she NEVER answered one call. The contract gives you a total of 10 hrs. We were only allowed 7 hrs for event setup , event time and break down. We paid $450 for cleaning and she kept our deposit saying we didn't clean up good enough. We removed everything that we brought in and took out the trash. On the day of my event, they were charging my guests for parking!!! This location ruined my day and the experience of my day. Pleeeeease, take the time to read the real reviews. This location represents well but, when it comes to actually treating you with awesome customer service, that is not going to happen!!! read more

She went above and beyond - thinking of the little extras that made the day really special. And all for a cost that is very reasonable compared to other in-town places. Everything was PERFECT until after I paid the requested DEPOSIT. Don't request for a change of date for your event. If you do, don't expect to receive a RETURN email, Text Message, or Call after you mention rescheduling the date. My 1st clue should have been when I initially called a view time and the VOICEMAIL was FULL. One company that I know of would ever allow the inconvenience of not being able to return a call to a customer. After several calls and text messages as instructed by the message on the voicemail, I decided to utilize EMAIL. After my 4th email I received MAIL RETURN. I hosted my wedding reception at Le Fais Dodo and cannot give enough praise to Marie, her staff and her family for making the event spectacular. Marie anticipates every concern and becomes a pseudo-coordinator to help relieve any anxiety and stress with all of the planning. The venue was transformed completely and very comfortable for dancing and dinner for my 250 guests. Her wedding vendor contacts were exceptional and extremely professional. I know without a doubt that my event could not have been better or more beautiful...By the end of it, I considered Marie like a life long friend instead of a vendor. I highly recommend Le Fais Do-Do. The entire venue can transform into any creation you can envision...but Marie invests her own time into the experience, which makes it unmatched with other venues...excellent read more

As a laid back bride, I was looking for a venue without the required caterer list and corkage fees that other venues seemed to inevitably come with in the Atlanta area. My fiancé (now husband) and I were also looking for a space that would accommodate our 150 guests and all the dancing we were planning for during our reception--the main event of the night for us. Space comes at a premium inside the perimeter. We also very much like the loft-like and elegant look this space had to offer. The upside to this venue is that there was ample space between the ceremony hall, the cocktail room and the smaller of the two available reception spaces for the wedding and celebration we were planning for. We love to travel and had in mind a vintage travel theme for our decor. Marie was definitely hard to pin down for pre wedding meetings, but I also imagine that she has to go from event to event and give each party their due planning time. So, we had to be a bit patient, but she came through for us. When we finally did get down to our planning session, Marie captured exactly what we wanted, keeping our modest budget in mind. She presented us with samples and a montage of what she had in mind for the look. She went above and beyond with the decor, because this was a first time doing this theme and you could tell she truly enjoyed the creative license we gave her. We had only a few of our own added touches with the decorations, but she handled the majority of the job of making our wedding incredibly beautiful and chic. We couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. The venue met all of or expectations and then some. We had such a memorable night. We would definitely recommend this venue for the couple who is not tied up in the minutiae and details and can let go and enjoy the process. The end result was phenomenal. Add in our amazing caterers (Fox bros bbq), our excellent DJ - Cali - spinning a perfect blend of all our music choices, and my day of family/friends coordinators and special helpers and we had an even better time than we could have hoped for. read more

If you want to deal with the RUDEST manager ever and horrible customer service then this is the place to go. The manager had no respect for her customers and our overall experience here was horrible. We had our wedding at Le Fais Do-Do last month and we couldn't have been happier. Things you need to know: *Marie (owner/wedding coordinator) is fabulous. She is great to work with and will take care of everything. The day-of I was thrilled that there was someone there to take charge and keep things running smoothly so that I didn't have to worry about a thing. *They do not have a liquor license so you can bring your own alcohol. You have to use licensed bartenders (about $100 for the night), but overall I saved thousands of dollars over using a venue where I had to buy a liquor package. This was a HUGE plus for me. I only looked at venues where I was able to bring in my own alcohol. *Marie has a huge selection of decor and everything is reasonably priced. She even has all of the uplighting/etc. No need to hire a separate decorator! She has all the linens/centerpieces/etc. You dont have to use hers, but I did and it all turned out beautifully! I was thrilled. *The outside of the building is warehouse like, but don't let this turn you away. The inside is GORGEOUS! We got so many compliments on our venue! *There is a separate space for ceremony and reception so you don't have to worry about "flip-time". Guests can go straight into the reception area following the ceremony if you'd like. * All the prices were good. I did a LOT of comparison shopping for venues around the area. For a venue this size, it's priced very well. Marie was great on understanding that I was on a stict budget, and helped me figure out how to make things fantastic without spending too much. *You can bring outside catering too! No fees. Just has to be an approved caterer with insurance (any catering company is). *Tons of parking. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this place.
