My church booked an engagement at this event center and we could not have been more pleased with the services provided by Mr. Marcus. He was onsite and addressed every minor detail I brought to his attention. When I say minor, I mean minor, from putting extra chairs out at our center table, adjusting the pole for the photo backdrop, showing us how to use the digital photo booth, and making a recommendation on where to set up the dessert tables based on how past events were set up. He worked really hard to ensure that our event was a success. We intend to use his venue in Jonesboro, GA for two more events we are planning to hold this year. read more

Attended a conference at this location and the management was deplorable. The staff was very pushy and condescending. They did not allow us to keep the time that was promised. I would not recommend unless you want to be hounded at your event on when you will be done because all they kept saying we have another event but the time that was promised was not fulfilled and PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ YOUR CONTRACT!!!! read more

The Inside is very nicely done, but the rest of our experience was "Horrible", we got miss communication between Marcus who agreed for our 16 guest, which would have included the small cake and drink. Then when we had more family that wanted to attend she (Kay) said this is a mini wedding and we had to pay more money. Because this was a mutual agreement to part ways I wanted a partial refund and she agreed, then called back and said her and Marcus said we could not get none of our money back! This new package was an extra $500.00 for 25 people do you know they still gave us one bottle of champagne which only served 10-16 people which was notated by one of guest 706 Charles Street Catering Service which addressed the issue. Not only did Kay not attend but had her daughter who started out just like her with an attitude our time was from 2-4 I asked how early I could come to prepare she said 1:30 pm, then they started flicking the lights at 3:00pm and stated that we needed to be out by 3:30pm. They began taking down the decorations in the middle of the Photography. One of my guest asked about Renting the Space for a 50th Birthday Party for over 100 guest I told her don't waste your time or money. We have a big family for our Reception which is now Booked in August and this Venue would not ever Host our families Events - Baby Showers, Graduation, Weddings, or Birthdays! NOTHING!!! read more

Our company provided post-event janitorial services to Rendezvous for several months. The owner of the company Marcus did not respond to multiple requests for payment, then apologized saying he was out of the country and needed 10 days to catch up on all outstanding balances. That was in September, there has been no response since. we are owed $1,000's. read more

Marcus, LaShon, and their team were like a breath of fresh calming air. Communication from the beginning was top notch. They were available for texts, phone calls, and emails whenever I had questions, and would always respond promptly. I want to say that my family, friends, and I had the best time celebrating my daughter's graduation brunch. Everyone were surprised of how immaculate the event center was set up. The owners, who I've known for years made sure we had everything we needed. The Catering staff were so polite and made sure their were more than enough food for everyone. This venue is very beautiful, spacious and very clean. The staff were very nice and hospitable. Marcus and LaShun were very helpful and professional throughout the planning of my party. I also, loved that fact that security was a part of the paid package as well. As far as the party time frame, I felt I was shortened of my time especially when I paid for an extra hour to extend the party. The last hour was basically spent on getting my guest out of the building and for me to remove my items from the tables that I setup. I just wished this would have been better communicated. My family planned a 50th birthday party here in early October. No matter what changes we made, or requests we had, Marcus, the owner, always smiled and made sure we were satisfied. I was nervous about the location. After all, I grew up in Forest Park. I soon learned that you definitely should not judge this book by its cover! After checking out a couple of venues for my milestone event (50th Birthday). I came across Rendezvous Event Centre, met Mr. Marcus and that was it. The venue is gorgeous, spacious and the energy is very inviting. We had a great time! Even the staff, the DJ and Mr. Marcus too, we're feeling it that night. To see a venue owner that genuinely excited and happy for you and the reason for your event, priceless. I paid a $500 deposit to rent this venue for my dementia plagued mom's 80th birthday party scheduled for 4/11/20. Unfortunately COVID 19 consumed the world forcing the event to be cancelled. I requested a deposit refund from the owner, Marcus Wood which he denied due to "NO REFUNDS DUE TO AN ACT OF GOD" which is in the FINE PRINT of the contract. I will bet when that phrase was written, a pandemic wasn't thought about. The CDC enforced guidelines of No Large GATHERINGS. We were expecting 180 guest with a large percentage over 70-75 years old classified as very Vulnerable to the coronavirus. I live in NYC which was the epic center of the virus at that time, THEREFORE the hostess would not be able to attend. I will conclude by saying, I will NEVER recommend this NICE venue to anyone due to lack of consideration displayed by the owners for the health and well being of people just to make a few bucks. We have over 170,000 deaths due to COVID and you still trying to give me dates all of a sudden in July, August Sept and Oct, Not knowing when or if this CORONA will just disappear. You didn't offer me all those dates in March. All u had was Oct and I declined. Amazingly, summer dates reappeared after our last conversation. I don't know who declared this pandemic "AN ACT OF GOD." I haven't heard any of the scientist or epidemiologist declare it as AN ACT OF GOD. JUST U!!! We will retrieve the "custom banner" at your earliest convenience minus the photo booth which was quoted as a package price of $375. Please let us know when to get the "custom banner" with receipt. Hopefully the price is not astronomical for a banner. read more
