Absolutely splendid! We spent our third weekend in a row dining at Le French. It's 5 star, consistently superb dishes speak for themselves. The chef's training and talent not only his flavor pairings but his expert execution and detail. We started with the Escargot - out of shell presentation in a delicious butter and parsley sauce that is to die for. Thankfully they provide enough bread to soak up every drop. This week we opted to sample several of the main courses off the specials. Two diners had the duck and one opted for the snapper. The duck was phenomenal, truly the best l've had, with a perfectly crispy skin and beyond tender meat. It was served with a delicious slightly tangy glaze with a side of mashed sweet potatoes and veggies. The snapper was prepared perfectly to a tender flake with your fork in a rich and savory bur Blanc sauce. Others had the French onion soup - delicious broth and cheese finish with the crispy yummy goey overflow of melt and delicious bread pieces a top. Other go to dishes - their house salad is one of the best you will ever have, the soups of the day have all been delicious and creative, for beverages we love the cappuccino and the peach belinis and for dessert the crème brûlée. This is a must in Brevard County and beyond. Also the front of house is the sweetest woman ever who is simply a delight (although last weekend was her last awhile). read more

Richard took my research of local @restaurants to go to Le French tonight for dinner. It turns out the restaurant was walking distance from his condo. He didn't know it was there. It is a small cafe run by a man and his wife. The husband is the chef and the wife handles the front. Richard was not familiar with French food by now he is. We started with sharing tender ramekin of escargots that were cooked perfectly with butter, garlic and fresh parsley. He never had it before but he did try one then grab another then I taught him to take the crusty French bread and soak up the garlic butter. We both ordered the beef bourguignon which is my favorite French dish. We both enjoyed it but it was not as rich and flavorful as I have had in the past. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse which was yummy and could not finish it all. Richard had the perfectly cooked and well presented lava cake which I will get next time when I come. The icing on the cake was that a family was eating dinner with grandparents, sons, Daughers and grandchildren. As the grandmother went to the restroom she stopped by to say what a joy it was to watch the two of us talk and enjoy each other. The grands who were 7 and 5 also chatted with us and asked me lots of questions about the places that I have visited. The son and DIL were from the country of Jordan. They were all delightful. He gave me some advise about Poland. When we left the restaurant, there was a full moon over the ocean which added a special accent to the day. At 10:20 tonight there is a SPACE X rocket ship blasting off from Cape Canaveral. We will watch it from the beach!!!! read more

Reservations at 0630 Met at the door and taken to our table where a small blackboard was set up for the evenings offerings as they change daily.....Well executed menu with choices for many different palettes. After explaining the menu and taking our drink order (beer and wine only) she gave us some time to digest the menu....we finally both settled on the escargot (slow snail caught) served piping hot in individual small ramekins on single plate witn a side of thinly sliced baguette to dip into the amazing garlic butter and parsley sauce....Perfect, just the right amount of butter and garlic.....My wife had the pan seared golden tile fish served with baby vegetables and sweet potato purée.....outstanding fish if you've never eaten it, firm sweet white flaky flesh. I had the duck leg confit with a guy-ere cheese potatoes,baby vegetables and roasted radishes..... We had a very good meal here -- and would recommend it highly. We came for dinner on Thanksgiving. They had a special menu plus their regular menu. Although we saw several folks raving about their turkey, we decided to order off their regular menu. They also had a few other specials for that day, as well. We'd made reservations. And this is highly suggested. The restaurant is small. You'll find it attached to the Chase Bank building fronting the street. It is cozy inside but not cramped. The front of the house is taken care of by Aura Lee who will seat and serve you. She also makes the desserts for the restaurant. Meanwhile, her husband, Antoine, is the chef in the kitchen responsible for all the culinary delights. My husband started off with their goat cheese salad. The cheese was creamy atop the mixed greens with onions, walnuts, and a light dressing. He really liked it. For his entrée, he ordered the fois gras appetizer. It was a very decadent (and yummy) duck pate served with french bread, dried candied orange peel (I'm guessing), pickled onions, and apples . He loved it!. I went right to the mains with an order of their classic beef bourguignon. It was served in a cute dish -- half full of mashed potatoes and the other a mix of the beef pieces in its rich sauce with carrots. Al dente green beans came on the side. For dessert, we shared a clafoutis. The fruit for the night was peaches. The fruit will vary, so if you have a preference, make sure you ask. It's kind of like a cobbler with its batter, but the fruit is mixed into it. It was good, but not all parts of the dish were the same temperature. My husband had a glass of very good french Chablis. They don't have a full bar -- just beer and wine. However, as some of our fellow guests discovered they offer some very tasty drinks made with berries and champagne -- among others. We look forward to returning to try some more of their delicious offerings. This place is a "keeper". read more

The beef bourguignon needed more flavor and the texture of the meat didn't seem right. The salmon special was the best of evening, although not overly French. A truly wonderful experience at this gem of a restaurant. We were greeted by a very warm and welcoming woman who was front of the house and our server. After discussing the menu with her, we settled on the bone marrow escargot as a starter. It was beautifully presented and sooooo tasty. I had the duck and my friend had the Beef Bourguignon. Absolutely fantastic. We made reservations for New Years Day brunch, and to my surprise mimosas were bogo! They were made perfectly with just a hint of OJ. This is truly a hidden Spacecoast gem and I am quite surprised that this place isn't always packed to the brim at all hours, but if you enjoy trying French dishes, this place really gets their food and service right. This restaurant was a nice find! They have nice cozy space. The food was amazing started out with apps the escargot with bone marrow was wonderful as was the smoked salmon and the foie gras was divine. The main courses were also excellent the duck with potato was nice and hot and hit the spot on a rare cold Florida evening. also the fish of the day which was grouper the night we went was expertly prepared. The wine list is almost exclusively French and got some great recommendations for our group. Hope to return next time we are visiting the space coast. read more
