We love Irish pubs! Meg O'Malley's is our favorite in the Central Coast of Florida! This week I had their draft hard cider! Perfect! I ordered the Corned Beef Sandwich! Huge portion and the cheese and special sauce really was great! They have great creamy coleslaw which I often choose to accompany anything I order. My husband had a burger with fries! Fries are great, too! He is a Guinness guy! BTW, they have the perfect Scotch Egg! There is so much to try! Great Fish and Chips! Great Bangers and Mash! We travel over an hour to get there! We just don't get there often enough. Servers are efficient ... they must have a fabulous kitchen! What's not to love about the ambiance of an Irish pub. We hadn't been to Meg O'Malleys since 2019, but it was always a favorite. We live out of town, so we weren't regulars, but it was always on the list when we came in. This past weekend, we were in town and had to go visit an old favorite. Now that we live closer, we were excited to renew acquiantence. While most people don't go to an Irish Bar for gourmet food, M o'M's was reliably good in our memory. We were incredibly disappointed in our dinner Saturday night. We ordered Shepherds Pie, Corned Beef and Cabbage and Chocolate Cake. The Shepherds Pie tasted like it was made with Heinz Boullion Powder. The Corned Beef and Cabbage had no seasoning whatsoever, tasted like it was just boiled in plain water. The Chocolate cake looked beautiful, all drizzled with white chocolate and rasberry sauce. The drizzles were the best part. The cake tasted like the refrigerator smells. I hope we got it on a bad night but I suspect its not worth going for food again. My mom and I decided to stop at Meg O'Malley's because she really wanted to stop at an Irish pub. I decided to do their mega O'Malley's 12 ounce cider for six dollars and my mom also got another cider for six dollars. We also have waters; and then my mom got the side of chips for 499. The ambience is your average Irish pub except everything in here. Screens Ireland and I absolutely love it from the mosaic, to the balloon art for St. Patrick's Day to the neon sign. Stopped in for lunch today. Hadn't been here in months and months. First of all, walking in to the place, we were met with an odd odor, like a dumpster smell. Decided to stick it out and eat there anyway. We ordered a Kilkenny sandwich and fish and chips. The corned beef on the sandwich was too fatty and tough and kept falling apart while eating it, disappointing because it used to be my favorite. We stopped in for lunch and, overall, it was fantastic. We have been here several times but never for lunch. I ordered the Swiss cheeseburger and fries from the lunch special, and the portion size was spot on--the bun-to-burger ratio was perfect, and the lettuce, tomato, and onion were all fresh and crisp. The burger itself was very tasty, though it could've used a bit more seasoning and a house sauce (or any sauce) to really take it to the next level. On the upside, the fries were excellent--perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. The meal was filling without being over the top, which I appreciated. My wife ordered the field greens and berries salad and added chicken, and she absolutely loved it. Fresh, well-balanced, and a great lighter option. As always, the atmosphere here was amazing. We were in Melbourne for the weekend and Meg O'Malley's happened to be right behind our hotel, so of course we decided to stop in! We were seated immediately. We started with the 18-cent soup, and wow -- so flavorful and delicious! I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered a side of mac and cheese, and honestly, it might be some of the best I've ever had. Creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor, what more could you ask for? My husband went with the chicken pot pie, which he absolutely loved. I tried a bite, the top was perfectly crispy and flaky, and the inside was creamy and comforting. Went to Meg's today to watch some football and enjoy brunch. My husband ordered Chicken and Waffles and it came with a caramel maple syrup. He said it was divine especially the syrup. If you like biscuits and gravy you MUST try it here. So good. Maybe the best I have had. I also enjoyed an OJ Mimosa. Came for early dinner and was seated right away. As all the other reviews state this place has the total Irish pub vibe and atmosphere. The service is great and our waitress was sweet as can be. The menu is extensive and offers many familiar Irish pub choices and while this seems to be the place to sit down with a dish of Shepards pie and grab a Guinness I felt the food was just ok. Sorry all you other yelpers who gave it 5 stars but I found everything salty and my Irish stew way too thick and starchy. On the positive side our chips appetizer was large & well fried and it did come with nice dipping sauces. If you're looking for an Irish pub with good beer, Irish whiskey and old world charm this is the place but if you are looking to have a great Irish dinner maybe not so much. read more

On a very rainy day my husband and I went back to this IRISH PUB after several years. Ate bangers and mash with cabbage, and Jamison flight with Irish coffees for dessert. Ian was an exceptional waitstaff allowing us to just take in the Irish atmosphere and pretend I am back in Ireland while enjoying their amazing food. He made excellent recommendations for not only food choices but drink choices. I appreciate the attention to details and regularly checking in with us. I just wanted to say they do offer mimosa's here which I do love to order. Orange juice and champagne you can never go wrong. I usually have the lemon drops when I order down town Melbourne but I don't think I've had one here yet. The Cobb salad was my least favorite. But everything else I've tried was good. You will meet some guys who aren't Irish here just a warning. Allot of time wasted and games played. This was a while ago. I was on a poker trip (I no longer do those) and decided to check out the town. I ended up at this joint and the burger was very Irish. I didn't expect the couple to be sitting next to me to get in a huge agreement as I was eating, for him to leave her there, and for me to later see her crying on a city bench outside on the way to my car. She was at our table within seconds of being seated. Friendly, polite, and helpful she took our orders, brought the meals, and checked on us several times throughout our visit - all while attending several other tables. I added the optional baked three cheese macaroni as my topping ($3.99). Holy Moly! I'm here to tell you this has become one of my all time favorites! A great place for St. Paddy's Day or any other time of year! Try the Parliament soup! Trasitional favorites are on the menu, along with lots of other great Irish themed food and drinks. I was excited to hear that Melbourne had an authentic Irish restaurant called Meg's. It was a busy night going on New Year's Eve but the wait times weren't too bad. I'm not a fan of most pub food but Meg O'Malley's changed my mind. The decor was lots of fun and made you feel like you were stepping into a real Irish pub. Irish pubs are on of our favorite spots. This one did not disappoint. We were late getting into town so we arrived around nine o clock and were seated promptly with no wait upon arrival. Very clean, decor was on point along with an amazing stage area for when there is live music. We started with Meg's threesome, which was absolutely amazing! My daughter had the pork chop which we all tried a bite and it was our favorite menu item that we tried. Beautifully displayed and amazing taste! My husband had the ribeye, it was a little overcooked for his liking but the flavor helped it out. I came for the fried shrimp, only to find out they no longer served it. So I had the steak frites which was ok, just not a huge fan of the Guinness gravy. Overall we had a wonderful visit because the waiter was very prompt and nice.
