The waiter rolled her eyes as we told her that we didn't have a reservation. Okay, I'm sorry that we're trying to be paying customers at your restaurant. Thank goodness someone who seemed to be the owner was there and had us seated within 10 minutes.
Unfortunately, it took another 10 minutes before we got our menus and then another 10 before she took our order. And then she forgot one of our menu items.
The food itself was redeeming. The endive salad tasted fresh, with walnuts, oranges, and olives scattered within. The mango-avocado tartare was a little on the sweet but the addition of a little Himalayan salt on the table made it an excellent accompaniment to the table bread. A three-style tofu platter was likewise a tasty option.
Overall, service was pretty atrocious, even by my American standards. The food was good but wasn't spectacular. I'd go elsewhere. read more
