I don't know why anyone would waste their time going to a different ice cream shop. All those bogus soft ice cream places are the same. This was absolutely delicious and like nothing I at least have ever had. Even when I was in France. The macrons were so fresh and like actually crumble in the inside like cake. I got the gelato which was coffee, flavored and then put a lavender vanilla macro on top. Super quick and helpful servers. Like I said not your average ice cream shop. Pretty cute uncomfortable in the inside, but we only sat down for a minute cause I wanted to see if we could catch the trolley. read more

I have a sweet tooth so I had to try this place when I saw it. The interior is welcoming and bright and the staff are super friendly. The macaroons are probably my least favorite I've tried. The cookies weren't good and the flavors just weren't there. The pistachio and Rose were the only ones we liked out of the 6 we bought and they weren't anything special. We also got 6 chocolates and only the salted caramel was anything special. $33 dollars later I am left wanting. read more

Stopped into this sweet little place. The shop was spotless with a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The staff member was polite & helpful, adding to the pleasant experience. While walking around Rehoboth Beach I saw a sign for a Blueberry, Lavender, White Mocha coffee that immediately caught my attention. My mother was more interested in checking out the pastries. My sister was on the "eh" side of things. Basically overruled! HAHA! We went in and all 3 of us ended up getting the blueberry, lavender, white mocha coffee. It was absolutely delicious. In a word -- delicious! I like the variety of flavors and bought several different ones. I think my favorites were the Basil White Chocolate, Lavender White Chocolate and Chocolate Praline, but my taste testing partner and I agreed that they were all good. The napoleons are quite good. We were repeat customers. However, the service was so abysmal, it rather ruined my experience. I will patronize other excellent pastry shops rather than see the presumed proprietor again. While several of us waited, he had a long, protracted conversation in French with people he'd already served. I stood in front of him and he refused to make eye contact. After an extended time, the delightful young woman was free and was wonderful. But as I waited to pay, the French-speaking man again managed to be rude as he told me to move because the others were first. If you cannot be bothered to extend basic courtesy - or even eye contact - to your customers, we will not be among their number again. read more

The establishment itself is very well decorated. Sadly, that's where I stopped having anything nice to say. The second impression, aside from it being cute, was that the cases were filled with flies. I was put off but really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was because they had left accidentally left the door open. I got 6 macaroons to try for a bit over $16. The man helping was curt and not at all welcoming, so I left to eat them. Honestly, these were the worst I have ever had. The filling was cloyingly sweet and tasted like gross cheap cake icing, and there was way too much of it. I nibbled and tried each of the 6 flavors and wound up throwing them all out. Not only would I not recommend this place, I would actively steer you away. I have had better macaroons pre-packaged at Safeway. read more

I must follow a gluten free diet so I was super excited to see that La Macaron opened in Rehoboth. They were quick to offer samples and just a joy to chat with. I may have visited a couple of times during my stay and even brought some macarons home to enjoy. I spotted this patisserie a while back and stopped in tonight on a whim. Bought a box of 24 macarons. Wasn't really a die hard macaron fan before. I am now. These were delicious. The flavors! I think my favorite was bubble gum, shockingly. Deliciousness! Crispy on the outside, sweet creamy layer sandwiched in the middle and the variety of flavors were terrific. Pretty box. We stopped in for gelato and decided to try a couple macarons as well. Everything was absolutely delicous .. it was fun to try the different flavors of macarons and the gelato was really good. The shop's decor is sweet and there is a nice sized seating area to sit indoors which is great when it's hot out. Only reason for 4 stars has to do with customer service -- a little rushed and not the friendliest, but still completely worth it for the yummy dessert! read more

We were in on Friday night it was my family and myself about 10 people we had a great visit as far as service and information goes. We had three separate orders that Lisa suggested she take care of all three orders at the same time and then ring us up separately. Our group was trying to decide and she was continuing to make suggestions and assist us. She graciously let us sample two different types of macaroon each to help make our decision. While she was helping us there was another gentleman also working behind the counter four other people walked in he proceeded to help the other people while she continued with us that was fine until the gentleman very unprofessionally and rudely told Lisa to stop talking and wait on other customers. Lisa very professionally did not respond and continue to help us which we definitely greatly appreciated. We have to say for our first visit there we were very taken back by the actions of employees but also very please with the action of your management in Lisa she is definitely an asset to your business we will definitely return as we are here for the next two weeks however I must say if that gentleman is behind the counter and we do not see Lisa we will not make a purchase as that behavior is not only rude and disrespectful but unprofessional as well most employees would have been let go for something like that. The reasoning behind the two-star review has absolutely nothing to do with service or with your product it is amazing the two-star review has to do with the gentleman employee behind the counter as far as we are concerned La macaroon deserves a five-star review Lisa deserves more than a five-star review and the gentleman needs learn some customer service respect and how to handle himself in public ​ read more
