After an ugly experience at another restaurant, I picked up my foodie sensibilities and resumed the search for andouiette in the St Ouen market. We came across Le P'tit Landais and went inside. It is a small and cozy bistrot, with friendly servers and and a simple, yet very French menu. I ordered the andouiette, which came with a side of mashed potatoes. Absolutely fantastic, grilled to perfection. My husband ordered the boudin noir, which is a blood sausage. Also a delicious dish, perhaps the best boudin noir I have ever tasted. We started out with the wild boar pate, served with cornichons, mustard, and bread.
The atmosphere was friendly, and the other patrons seemed to be vendors from the St. Ouen Market. It was a lot of fun to see all of them having a good time. They chatted us up as well. I love and cherish these kinds of traveling experiences.
