Looking for a nail salon closer to me was a task. The first thing I looked for was if there is a website - that's something that businesses really should have and make sure it is functional. This one was difficult to navigate because it gives an error message that it expired. The only reason I was persistent in trying to get information was on reviews I found they had 4+ star ratings. Other nail salons around had 2/- stars. Businesses should understand that ratings is what drives customers to their doors or helps see where their services can be improved. When I called to schedule an appointment the woman who answered the phone was very pleasant. I was able to book an early appointment (for the next day). Not long after booking the appointment I received a text to confirm and also gave the name of the technician who I was scheduled to see. Now that was Top Notch Customer Service! After confirming the appointment I received a calendar appointment notice to add to my calendar. And on the morning of received a message with a friendly message "see you soon". Arrived a little earlier than the appointment time and the door was unlocked with a pleasant reception. Once I'd given my name I was told my technician will be in within ten minutes (I knew I was early so I wasn't in a hurry). The receptionist then pointed me to the wall of colors and asked me to pick a color. So many to choose from and that is Fantastic because I wanted to try a new color. The nail technician was pleasant and gentle. While sitting in the chair we had literally conversation which was refreshing because at another salon the technician was extremely talkative, so much so she was a bit intrusive, however I did not feel that here. My technician asked which service, showed me the "menu" of services, I selected (the prices for services did match what I found online-which due to the way their website is set I wasn't sure online prices were accurate.). The store is larger than it looked when first walking in. Nice and spacious and clean. It seemed like I had just been there for a very short time and my technician was finished. I was referred to this shop because I was new to the area I took a chance not once but 3. My first encounter I asked if they had a natural pink for a pink white set. They applied a pink cloudy color which was not appealing. My nails I expect perfection...Then the pedicure was rushed because I came to late. The pedicure tech did good the 1st time. Now I went a second time and asked for a nude color for the pink and white set Same thing cloudy look and the pedicure was rushed again. Now today was the worst. They had the natural pink I wanted but the nail tech Andy was too lazy to soak the old set off to apply the natural pink I am use to. So he put this ugly stuff on my nails. I've been here twice to get my nails done, and I've been thrilled with the results both times! The first time I went in for a no chip manicure and for a dip instead based on the recommendation of Tony. He saw the condition of my nails and recommended the dip instead of the no chip because it was better for my nails. I also got a pedicure, and the technician painted my toenails better than anyone has in my life! Two weeks later, and they still look great. This was the first nail salon I've been to since my move to Joliet. I was eager to feel like a woman and treat myself with a mani and pedi. My experience here was not what I expected it to be and I left feeling more anxious than before I walked in the door. Upon my arrival I walked into the shop and was sourly greeted by the front of the house lady. (She seems to be the owner, or manager) She did not say hello she just asked "Do you have an appointment?" I told her no, and asked if I needed to make one. She said "Ummm no you don't need to but what do you want to get done today?" I said "full set and pedicure." She said "Ok, but what type of full set?" I was very confused as to why I had to answer that question as soon as I walked in the door. I said "Just Gel polish on both nails and feet." She said, "Ok but what else do you want done, how long? What shape? Any designs?" This is was all while I was standing at the front desk counter. Every head in that place turned and looked at me as If I was a foreigner who had just crashed a party. I told her If Its going to be a problem I can leave. She said "noooo, we can do it, just pick out your color." I immediately wanted to sink in my chair. I felt a little embarrassed and uncertain as to why she asked me so many questions as soon as I walked in the door. For the remainder of my time there I sat and watched this same woman greet every other customer who DID NOT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT completely different than the way she greeted me. She greeted them with smiles and a "can do" attitude. To the woman at the front of the house, let this be a teachable moment for you. Treat ALL of your clients/customers the same. Don't only appease to certain demographics. I will look elsewhere in regards to a nail shop. I will gladly go to a more urban side of town as my money/business was clearly not welcomed here. I'm a loyal customer, and a great tipper so shame on you for belittling me like that. Lastly, I ended up paying over $100 for a simple full set, no designs, and mediocre pedicure. The nail tech Lewis was amazing and took his time. He did a great job. The man who did my pedicure was horrible, too rough, and rushed me out of his chair. I will never come back to this spot and anybody of color who is reading this, should take their money elsewhere. I had not been to this nail salon for some time. I took my boyfriends daughter out for a "spa" day. As this salon is near our home, I decided to give it a try. I will not be returning and highly suggest you find a salon that provides better service, value, and cleanliness. Pros: did accommodate us walking in for regular pedicures and no chip manicures. Unfortunately not at the same time, but that is my timing and not theirs. No Chips are smooth and consistent. Cons: Very dimly lit; except for led lights for each station: Dust, not just nail dust but dirt dust everywhere. On the hanging lamps, along the floor boards. Stations - dirty. They are not cleaned after each guest. There are old nail polish stains everywhere, nail dust everywhere, and they DO NOT (despite website claim), use new packages of materials or sanitize in between. No towels put down during manicure, just a paper towel. "Soak" for manicure was tepid water in a bowl I know was used just before on my boyfriends daughter and was literally two minutes at most. Communication: Woman at front seemed more bothered that we had come in, it could be she was new. No real greeting. No direction. Basic Pedicure was that, basic, and less than. Not worth the price tag. Manicurist did not ask about shape of nails, did not wash his hands, did not ask me to wash mine before he applied polish. It overall was not a good experience, not a comfortable place, and the prices are ridiculous. Next time, definitely will be choosing a different location. read more

Lately the conversations are not appropriate for the setting, depending on how busy it gets they constantly complain about the volume of customers, tips, and many other things that I have recently heard. Decided to try a new nail place today. My standard requests are a no-chip manicure and a pedicure and I have been on a quest to find a good salon for years. Looks like I'm still going to be searching. A no-chip manicure and a basic pedicure cost me $75 (tip included). I never ask for anything fancy, just one color that matches on my fingers and toes. Le Petit did not give me the worst mani-pedi I've ever had, but when I'm paying $75, I expect better quality than "just okay." The no-chip color is nice but the painting is quite sloppy and uneven. After a handful of times having my nails chip and break right around 2 weeks, I finally had it and decided to bring it to the owners attention. I talked to vivienne over the phone and she would not give me a discount for my next service. I found that to be very annoying concidering im in every 3 weeks on the dot for my dip manicures. I've spent a ton of money here and expect my $50+ nails to last 3 weeks but they almost never do. Concidering they couldn't at least give me a small discount on my next service like I had asked, I'm going to move on to a different salon. My family decided not to go back either because of such poor customer service and broken nails of their own. This was my first and last time in this nail salon. I was rushed to sit and start without greeting. The lady that I had was extremely rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. My nails were crooked and she refused to fix them after I had told her to stop filing them at least 4 times. I decided to tell her to fill it up again and make the shape one more time. She proceeded but aggressively moved my hand. She did not clean the nail polish after she was finish. I had to wait for a couple minutes to get noticed by other staff to asked them if someone could clean two nails from the sides and others had bubbles. No one seemed to care about it and asked me to tell who ever worked on my nails. This other girl came and tried to clean it and re do the bubbles but then left a mark on my finger. My nails are really weak so I get a gel overlay on top of my own nails and then I do a no chip polish. That's a lot of layers, but Andy somehow manages to still make my nails look very natural. My friend recommended this place to me and I have been dying to get some Halloween nails so I thought why not now. I went on a Monday (yesterday) and it was not that busy, I did not make an appointment and took me in less than 5 min. I used to always have to cut my acrylics short because I played an instrument but now that I don't I wanted it somewhat Long. I told him that and when it got to the cutting part he saw how unsure I was but I truly did not know what too long was. Especially with no design on it yet, just the plastic. I pointed at how long and he replied saying "You want it THAT long???" And that immediately made me feel uncomfortable. Though he proceeded by saying "That's pretty long for a nail acrylic" so then when it came to the filing part he asked if I wanted to make it a little shorter and I said he's because maybe he was right. I told him shorter and then he freaked out again saying "Shorter?? I didn't know you wanted it that short" I felt so self conscious and kept second guessing my decisions.
