Every once in a while you stumble across a place that makes you wonder, "Where have you been all my life?" Le Point Pastry & Bakery is that place!. Le Point is a charming little bakery near FSU that serves breakfast and lunch, with extended evening hours a couple of nights each week for students. If you appreciate authentic pastries made from scratch, buttery croissants that practically melt in your mouth, and a kind of warm, family-run atmosphere that's becoming harder to find, this is the place for you. Some friends and I were in search of breakfast, and from the very first bite, I was hooked. Their croissants are made fresh on-site, what a difference! The ham and cheese croissant was buttery, perfectly flaky, and absolutely AMAZING. So was the pastry filled with feta cheese, herbs, and spices. Le Point is family-owned, and you can tell it's truly a labor of love. Everyone we met was warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to make us feel welcome. Here's the real test of a great bakery: Would you go back the very same day? We did! After attending a concert, we found ourselves right back at Le Point for lunch. I ordered the chicken salad croissant sandwich to take home to Andy and he loved every bite. For myself --I happily ordered another ham and cheese croissant because it was just that good. I took a couple desserts home. The almond (or amaretto) pastry filled with cream & topped with sliced almonds was rich, and delicious... but the strawberry-and-cream-filled croissant? OMGoodness!! That thing should come with a warning because once you've had one, you'll be craving another. It was pure pastry heaven! I'd honestly jump in my car and drive 25 minutes just to satisfy a craving for these pastries--The family also told us they have a food truck at the Tallahassee Nursery during the week so I have a feeling I'll be seeing them a lot more often! What a wonderful addition to Tallahassee's food offerings. Le Point is glorious food. So beautiful it looks like it can't be real. But it is real and is is delicious. We have had their pastries, and their panini's. We love them. The owners are very gracious. Lovely folks that are so talented in culinary arts. We appreciate their presence here. After seeing Le Point pop up on my Facebook feed a few times, we decided to satisfy our curiosity. We stopped by to pick up a sandwich and were delighted that it surpassed all expectations. Le Point was set up at Tallahassee Nurseries which offers plenty of seating under stunning, large shade trees. Our sandwich was made to order and it was even more than two of us could eat. We ordered the Delicious, an absolutely spectacular focaccia sandwich piled high with Mortadella, Creamy Stracciatella , Honey, and Pistachio Sauce. Was I sticky after eating this sandwich? I have wanted to come to this mobile bakery for a while. I'm so glad I finally did. They are set up at Tallahassee Nursery, which is charming in and of itself. I ordered the guava and cheese pastry. They warmed it up and it was DELICIOUS! I also ordered a cochita and a powerful focaccia sandwich. The cochita was supposed to be like a pizza/calzone, but there was no tomato sauce inside. The focaccia sandwich was huge and tasty as well. It had salami, pepperoni, tomato, a balsamic glaze and burrata cheese. I don't think I would order it again, but it was a good sandwich. There was a set up with tables in a shaded area in case you wanted to eat there. The service was fine, as they answered all of my questions. read more

I went this morning to le point never been trying something new. I ask for the biscoff monkey bread now when I seen the one the guy picked out it looked dry and he went on to give to me and I took it don't want to seem difficult. I got home for me and my family to try it and this is what I got was something dry and hard. Now when he saw that you stop looked at it yet still gave it to me. It's ok you get one chance. This location was a food truck situated at the Tallahassee Nursey across from the Frother's daughter. I ordered the Dubai Chocolate tart. The service was quick. Quality and taste is fantastic and authentic. Have tried several different sandwiches and pastries on different occasions and have been pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste each time! I got to try Le Point at their tent in today's Bannerman Plaza Market and their food made the biggest impression on me out of the whole lot. I got their ham&cheese cochita(?), jalapeno and cheese focaccia bread slice, and banoffee tart. The ham&cheese cochita which I ate right away was so nostalgic, warm, salty, and well-balanced using minced ham and this soft dough that made it a great walking snack. I just had the banoffee tart after a nap and it was an approachable and not-too-sweet tart with a cookie base, sliced bananas, toffee, then I think a chocolate mouse piped on top. I appreciated that the bananas were sweet but still had a fresh and ripe texture, and the chocolate mouse with a great chocolate flavor. I haven't gotten to try the jalapeno cheddar focaccia yet, but it is very promising with a heavy yet fluffy feel and plenty of toppings. I have passed by this bakery many times but always assumed it was just a sandwich place, and the other photos looked too good to be true. Just looking at (what was left) at their tent were very beautiful and exciting flavors I don't get to see often in Tally. If anyone tries their chocolate cranberry pecan sourdough, I would love to know how it was! I couldn't get it since a person in my home is allergic. (V_V) I didn't think to take photos until after I finished everything... But it somehow looks exactly like the photos already on Yelp. Of course I'd also want to note that the people were very sweet and helpful, and their set up made it very easy to walk around and see all the options in the glass cold and warm stand as well as the baked goods laid out. I hope the under 5 stars rating makes my review more realistic, I think everyone should try this place out. Overall really excited to go to their main location and try more savory things!
