I was a first time client and when I arrived about 15 min early for my appointment (as I knew there would be paperwork to fill out), the doors were locked. I called the phone number on the door and was informed that the therapist was coming from the southside and would be there shortly. The therapist showed up shortly after and when I spoke to her later, she informed me she only worked out of that location. The first thing I noticed when I was filling out the paperwork in the front reception area is that they had 2 over-sized white chairs. One which had a small cluster of dark hair on it. I was asked if I needed to use the washroom before my massage and was directed to where it was. Inside the washroom was dark hair on the floor, a dried urine spot on the toilet seat and a ring in the toilet basin showing it hadn't been cleaned recently. Despite that, I decided to still go through with the massage. The room I was taken into had a wrinkled top sheet on the massage table like the sheet was left wet to dry in the drier. The therapist started massaging my back first and had to stop approximately 6 times to pick something off my back... my first thought was hair. Now I'm disgusted! Once the massage was done, I dressed, paid the bill and walked out the door. The therapist was nice and the massage was good but the place itself was unclean and unprofessional. If they can't do basic cleaning, is it really sanitary during a pandemic other than being required to wear a mask? I don't think so which is why I won't go back and I don't recommend anyone else to visit BodyTech Clareview either!

The web site makes it super easy to book and see what people and time slots are available. This was my first time to this location but Trish was warm and welcoming and made me feel right at home. Despite the apparently full schedule (based on the web site booking page) I didn't see a single other person besides Trish while I was there, which was pleasant and all the more relaxing. Trish also helpfully followed up with an email listing some recommended yoga stretches good for sore backs. The rooms are pleasant and clean, and the whole atmosphere is soothing. Lucky for me, it was really, really good! My masseuse, Linda, was amazing. If you want a deep tissue massage, this is the place to go. I haven't found a reliable place to get massages in Edmonton (except for one other place) but this one I will definitely be back for more. Linda is very thorough, targets specific parts of the body (if you would like) and has very good, consistent pressure throughout the whole massage. Very professional and you can tell she knows her stuff. Plus nice little details (heating pad placed over the areas not being massaged, making sure pressure is good throughout the massage, insurance receipt, and water bottle at the end). She even has an online booking system through her website that makes it super easy to book and see all the available time slots for the day/week. Highly recommend.

I'm not knocking it, there just wasn't any Hawaiian themed things anywhere. I'd have been tickled if they put plastic cheesy lei on me and gave me a mango juice with an umbrella in it. That would have been enough :-) Massage was excellent. Like... ***** Excellent. Current Hawaiian month special excludes their couples massage because it is already a great deal, and seeing prices at other places I agreed. I booked the couples one, $125 for 60 minutes for 2 people 'relaxation massage'. Dang, that was a good deal. I mentioned to owner Jeanette my back issues and reason for going, she focused on that and my neck cramp I had been suffering with since Monday. Hour long couples massage was very relaxing, combining Swedish massage, deep tissue, therapeutic and whatever she kneaded as she worked from head to toes! Took all the tension out of my neck and shoulders. Like, All of it. I was even a little woozey getting up because my heart rate was so low from being nearly asleep the whole time. Awesome. Worked on my sore back, I felt much better after. I came in stooped over and left walking straight. It doesn't last forever, your muscles have to relearn how to stand straight again after days of being hunched over, but even after sitting in Leva for a pizza, I was able to get straight again after a few minutes of walking again. That's already better than I was just hours earlier. Jeanette is very knowledgeable, has a great bedside manner and will answer any questions. She's very friendly, so was her colleague who was working over the other half of my couples booking. After this decadent experience, we get a bottled water after we get dressed and make our way out. Jeanette gave me free samples of muscle ointment they sell called Biofreeze. I tried it on my back when I got home, man is it ever strong and effective ice therapy. I did a little happy dance after application, it felt that good. I'd go back no problem. Very accommodating, open Saturday. Their apprentice gives 2 free massages per client 2 days during the week, book him online, Wen is well reviewed on their booking software's CMS, Genapp. I'm not going to use their app, you can see the pricing after you click the Book Online button without the app, which is not very clear if you didn't know that, and their reviews are held through this app again, tied in with Google. I'd like to see this business get some Yelp support. They advertise with Yelp but I don't see a lot of reviews or check-ins. I recommend J & J Kneadwell and will return for their expertise, Saturday hours, friendliness and excellent pricing. 5 stars, easily.

It is a small business located on the 2nd floor of the stripmall in Hawkstone plaza. The parking lot is large and they are open late to accommodate those who work during the day. I booked our appointments one week in advance and was told they needed at least 6 business hours in case we needed to cancel or change the appointment. When we arrived, the placed smelled like mint, strong enough to clear your sinuses. Since I am a little sensitive to strong smells, I requested unscented massage oil. I had an one hour massage for $89.25 which I think is reasonable for this amount of time. My massage therapist Kristie, asked if I had any special areas to work on. I wanted a full body massage. She was excellent, asking if there was enough or too much pressure, how I was doing, etc. Once we were done our massages, they offered us a glass of cool water with an orange slice in it. They also gave us a bag of epsom salts and suggested we take a warm bath for 20 minutes before going to bed. The ladies working here were helpful and friendly.
