Mac and cheese, beet and trout bruschetta and 2 types of tea

Highly recommended this place!!! Had a beet, trout, and green pea bruschetta plus a small pan of Mac &cheese. Drinks were iced tea lemonade (Arnold Palmer) plus hot tea. Each item was 4E to 7E which to me was quite reasonable for the quality. Great fresh food, great view overlooking the Rijks courtyard. Very refreshing and perfect lunch!!

A very stylish cafe & the food was fresh & delicious. A friendly young chef Gideon Smit dropped by at our table with fresh strawberries. As tired tourists, it was very refreshing & we felt very welcomed.

This is such a great little cafeteria in the museum. Much better coffee and food. They keep the place super clean, and you'd want to come here just to eat if you didn't have to pay the museum fee!

It's a restaurant in a museum. A very famous museum. IT is a take and go type of thing. But don't go asking for the side of the main dish alone - oh no. No way, no how. No way possibly put a price on it. Hahahah! okey dokey The area where you get the food isn't huge, but there are a number of different types of options! We shared an egg salad wrap and it was interesting with some curry mixed in. The cheesy croissant... meh. The tomato soup, meh. So it's basically some place to grab some sustenance before you continue enjoying the museum that you paid and arm and a leg to go see! Tons of seating, views of the park, and part of the outside of the museum.

Cheese boards. Civilized way to take a break at the Van Gogh museum.

18 months since I first gave this spot 5 stars, a revisit (amazing considering I live in Hawaii). Still exceptional! This time I enjoyed a really hearty salad with lettuce, potatoes, bacon, asparagus, and mayonnaise l, and a glass of Merlot. Nearly €15, but wonderful ambiance. You'll need to pay to get into the museum, but once your feet and eyes are overwhelmed by the wonders of Van Gogh this hip restaurant is a true gem. On our first visit in Aug 2017 we had a couple of beers, a cheese board, and a sausage roll. They have many other options. Quality excellent all around. And the displays of food are a work of art themselves. Our treats set is back just under €20. Worth it.

Le Tambourin is a gorgeous cafe inside the Van Gogh Museum. It has beautiful food - sandwiches, pastries, salads. And so many beverages - lemonades with fresh fruit, coffee, mint tea, and more! Nice place to escape the crowds in the museum!

2 saucizebroodjes with mustard, raspberry yogurt, fresh OJ and cappuccino = 18 EU. Reasonable price for delicious food!

Came here on a weekday after my visit through the museum at around 11:30am. They had a variety of options including; fruits and juices, sandwiches, pizzas, yogurts, wraps, danish, granola, meats, etc. I opted for the saucizebroodjes (sausage link in a puff pastry), raspberry yogurt and fresh squeezed OJ. The saucizenbroodjes was one of the biggest ones I've seen and tasted so good, especially with mustard on top! The raspberry yogurt was good, but I'm still convinced that the US has the better tasting yogurt. The price for all of this was pretty reasonable 18 EU. Atmosphere was nice and in a self serve cafeteria environment....had free Wifi as well and views of the park. Check it out to as a place to eat and relax after the museum!

Spare ribs were great! My friends enjoyed all the food and beer they ordered. Five stars is rare for me to give unless I was super satisfied with food. The service was great and enjoyed our server. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would. Great location and friendly staff. They say I must try breakfast there. Next time I come in to Amsterdam, I will. Thanks

Everything about this place was great!…read more I'll start with the service. We walked in around 4:10 and they didn't start food service for another 20 minutes. The waiter was super cool and told us to have a seat anywhere we liked and brought us a drink menu. He knew we wanted to eat so at exactly 4:30 he came and took our orders. Through out the meal he was on top of everything and even offered many suggestions! The food was spectacular as well. I had the trio of fries and my friends had other small plates that were all so good! And the sauces that come with the fries, mamma mia! We also shared the Boca's Platter and it was absolutely to die for. Do not pass this up. I repeat, do not pass this up! Between 4 people, the medium was plenty of food. The space itself was also nice. They had outdoor seating for nicer days. We went right when food service began on a Monday afternoon so can't speak to how busy it gets during peak hours. Go for the great service, go for the Boca Platter, whatever you do, just go!

The bruschetta was delicious and if you love blue cheese, get it...it's extremely rich and creamy. The three kinds of fries were solid; curly, sweet potato, and regular with some chili ketchups. The boca platter was HUGE and we got the medium for 4 people. Came with steak, fried shrimp, mackerel potato salad, crostini, and an assortment of cheeses and some pepperoni. Last but not least...my favorite...the tartare. The quail egg was delicately placed atop the center of the meat and placed alongside the four little crostini on the plate. It was juicy and had so much flavor, a little spicy but not an overwhelming amount of chili spice. This meal reminded me of tapas in Madrid; definitely stop by bocas and get everything!

Coffee & Coconuts, seriously another amazing cafe that I visited during my trip in Amsterdam!…read more This cafe is hidden on the outside, but once you step inside, it is massively huge with three stories of dining tables. After waiting to be seated, our hostess guided us upstairs to the third floor, where they have several more dining tables and cozy couches that you can sit on while you enjoy your coffee. My parents, having visited this cafe before during their last trip to Amsterdam, raved about this place and suggested that I try their famous coconut coffee. All three of us ordered their coconut coffee, with my dad adding an espresso shot to his own so that he could stay awake for the rest of the night. Once I reached that first sip, OMG. SO DELICIOUS. How can I make my own coconut coffee back at home?! I loved it so much that I really want to make a copycat of it. The straws are also bendable, which really makes it handy if you need to lower your straw a bit. If I could, I would get on a plane to Amsterdam just to come back for their coconut coffee. That's how delicious it is! Local or tourist, I strongly suggest Coffee & Coconuts. You will not regret coming here at all!
