I had an awful experience at this salon with Lauren, and her boss Kelly who has offered no corrective treatments, and I'm writing this so no one else has to go through what I did. I came in with clear photos and a detailed explanation of the color I wanted. The first red flag should have been when Lauren deeply sighed and said she needed a day off (wow, what? Ma'am I booked 6 weeks ago). She then showed me a booklet (??) or their hair colors and I very clearly pointed out what I wanted and specified I did not want my blonde hair any darker. Well, apparently they were out of that, and unless she "figured something out" she would have to go to the store to get that color. Honestly this second red flag should have me leaving. Alas. To nobody's surprise but mine at this point, Lauren managed to apply a completely wrong color - very dark and not even close to what was discussed. When I pointed it out, she applied a color stripper (three times!) that left my scalp burning and my hair feeling brittle and damaged. The discomfort was immediate, and instead of showing concern or professionalism, she brushed it off as "probably normal" but that she didn't really know what it was doing. She had to drive to a store while this was happening to retrieve more color stripper and (maybe?) the right color to throw on top. Readers I have never had a stylist leave the salon in the middle of a process to go to a store. Now my hair is a wreck - dry, unevenly toned, and visibly overprocessed. I've already had consultations with other stylists who told me it will take multiple corrective lightening sessions and treatments costing several hundred dollars just to restore my hair to a healthy state. What makes this worse is the total lack of accountability. There was no apology, no ownership, and no offer to make it right by salon leadership. It was as if damaging someone's hair and scalp was just another day's work. If you value your hair, your money, and your safety, do not book with Lauren or Leading Edge. It was the most unprofessional and damaging salon experience I've ever had. read more

Wonderful atmosphere. the stylist Kimla was truly so wonderful. As an active duty girlie it can be hard to find someone who understands ur needs and can be trusted with ur hair. Ms. Kimla was truly such a comforting presence and her experience was wonderfully showcased. She corrected the terrible color i was left with from a prior service elsewhere which had horrible banding and spotting. Trimmed my natural curly hair exactly how i had been trying to achieve. And kept up with wonderful conversation in between. She explained her love for active duty soldiers and giving back to them the most she could. I went to give myself a birthday treat (normally I cut my own hair) I don't usually pay for cuts because my hair is always butchered. Not surprisingly it happened again. I asked for a layered/ tapered haircut (like the tiktok unicorn cut) that actually looks like a mullet where the layers flow through to the back because I have curly hair. Ultimately it's a mullet that starts at mid back and stops just above my shoulders. My hair was down to my waist I had plenty to work with. I walked out with a bob at my shoulders with layers thrown in at the last minute but only on the left side. I've let my 8 yr old niece cut my hair and it was closer to what I asked for than this. Don't bother booking an appointment with Abigail. Waited 30 minutes past my appointment and STILL wasn't seated. Took her time attending to another client and disregarded the booked time. By the time she was done, still WASTED TIME having to get the station ready. You have to put down a deposit to reserve a slot, for what? Does not value time at all. Might as well go to a different salon or book with a different stylist. I do not recommend! read more

I saw a woman named sequoya and she messed up my hair so bad I was literally crying for a whole day. Who cuts hair f**ing dry with a buzzer?! She chopped off half my length making me look like a 12 year old. After she showed me pictures of her 'work' I decided I didn't want her to dye my hair because they were ridiculous. Well I should have walked away from the haircut as well. Please save yourself the time, energy and disappointment and go get a nice trim from someone else. One more year for my hair to grow back to the length I wanted it to be in the first place. Never again read more

my hair has been fried and damaged; the fact that the girl ( SARA) who did my hair let me pay 300$ and walk out like this is ridiculous. i do not recommend getting your hair done here as i have been told by another client that have had the same issue. their excuse was i had box dye, FOR ONE i have NEVER had box dye in my hair just the color black prior. this isn't how you let your clients leave. i didn't even realize my hair was this bad til i washed it 1 week later and blew it out piece by piece and saw it read more

Today was my first experience at this establishment. I walked in, the vibe was great, the person who checked me in was great and Tiffany was also great with my son's haircut. The problem came when my 2 yr bent down on the ground to touch something on the floor. The owner yelled "ma'am " across the whole salon and pointed to my child like he was doing something wrong. I looked at him and he was sitting on the floor, not doing anything out of place. I asked Tiffany if kids were not allowed, because clearly my child bothered this woman. So her response eas...well there is a kid policy.. I said ok sorry had no idea.. I finish the cut with no words, as this woman is glaring at my child as he walks from my chair to his. Finally I pay, and told Tiffany sorry but I won't be back and this lady had me fuming that she was basically trying to tell me how to parent. She said I'm sorry but that's the owner. So I hang my head, because obviously she runs the place so I'll always see her if I come back... well, I walk up to the owner and apologize for having brought my child to the salon. Noone said he wasn't allowed when we walked In Noone said kids weren't allowed over the phone... as a matter of fact, this place does KIDS HAIRCUTS!!! Sooo.. you do kids haircut but MY child isn't allowed. I apologized to Tiffany because it was no reflection of her, but I kindly let the owner know that she deterred me from ever walking in that door again. Too bad for Tiffany.she lost a first customer and I absolutely loved her, but because of my first experience and how uncomfy she made me feel, I will NOT return. Parents beware if you have kids, apparently they arent allowed, even though i checked online and there are no such rules and they do kids haircuts. I just love this place. I was directed here through friends and ended up with a mani pedi From frank! He was so funny and very great at his skill! We ended up with a mood changing shellac on my nails for the beach that he picked out. My pedi then marched my nails! I will surely be back and am so excited that I found someone who is outstanding!!!!! read more

I purchased a group on for Jennifer Westcott here at leading edge salon. She was super easy to book, had a snafu with the time, she fixed it! Then when I showed up, she was super friendly! For a $40 groupon ($140 value) she spent 2.5 hours making me feel like the only person in the salon! She gave me the best hair cut and color I've ever had! No joke! Way totally impressed! Never been to this salon personally, but a great friend of mine, got her hair done there today. The style looked great on her. I asked who was the stylist who created such a lovely look, and she told me her name is "Chelsea Strayhorn." It was a great look. A cute Bob, with brown tones, and highlights.
