Been visiting this location for primary care since I moved into the neighborhood a couple years ago. I love the staff, availability of appointments for what I am looking for, and the turnaround time to be seen once I am checked in. I truly feel like my healthcare here is personalized as doctors listen to my concerns and speak with care and compassion. It's important to work with a provider who really empathizes and takes the time to hear what their patients have to say. My experience makes me so sad knowing that so many people will likely see many different doctors that don't take them seriously and will be turned off to healthcare in general. Having someone by your side makes the biggest difference in health outcomes and I would recommend Leaf to anybody in the neighborhood. read more

I didn't even have to undress except for the EKG-- first time I've been offered an EKG at the doctors office and I'm so glad it's part of routine care there. everyone was friendly, the office was nice, I overheard another patient saying the vibes were good and I agree! In February a tumor was found on my kidney by my fertility doctor and I was told to get in touch with my primary care. When I contacted leaf saying that I believe I have cancer and needed to meet with my primary care for bloodwork, help me get additional testing as well as find a possible oncologist. They were extremely rude and very much wrote me off, not caring at all that I had imaging the flagged me as a renal mass protocol. They said because it had been a little over a year since my last appointment they'd had to treat me as new patient and couldn't see me for over a month and a half. They said I could try emailing to get an earlier appointment. I called and emailed multiple times without any help and not even answers. Instead I had to find a new doctor. I did indeed have kidney cancer and ended up having tons of bloodwork, a CT, an MRI, a biopsy, and a full surgery before they even claimed they could get me in. I really liked Dr. Gonzalez but the staff at this office, is rude, unresponsive and not helpful. This rating is totally about the office care not the doctor care. read more

Let me preface by saying I have never given a review for a Doctor in my life but would like to help others. Moral of the story, see Dr Gonzalez instead and there is a reason that Dr Reddy has no positive reviews. My primary doctor (Dr Mazza) left the DUMBO Leaf practice so I was forced to go to this location which was annoying from the very start. Was seeing Dr Reddy at a friends recommendation who also warned me that this doctor was a pain to deal and stopped seeing her as well but I was desperate. Sure enough every single thing she said, was correct. I should have ran in the opposite direction but like I mentioned, I was desperate. I wish I knew to see Dr. Gonzalez instead. Everything "was an issue." The last time I checked, a doctors job is to help patients as best as possible, not make situations worse, and be patronizing and condescending. It's offensive actually. In my opinion, if someone has been on the same meds for 15+ years AND has had lab work done and there are no issues you shouldn't need to keep taking my money every 3 months for a refill. It's a complete scam. I could maybe understand 6 months or 9 months but give me a break. I have zero underlying health issues. So no refill, no response from doctor and ended up having to go elsewhere. I also don't think it's up to the doctor to fix all the worlds problems. You are into your practice and code of ethics and I understand that, but you still have a job to do. I needed medical clearance for surgery and again was another lecture and telling me the risk of me "dying on the table " during this surgery. Thanks for the concern, but I've already gone over that with my surgeon. I was absolutely shocked after she said this to me and after going home to think about it and speaking to other people realized how highly inappropriate that comment was. Bedside manner perhaps? Yes, like any surgery there is a risk. More cons, communication is terrible. You can never get through to anyone on the phones .. EVER. Forget trying to speak to her, no lines of communication there either. I'm sure she never got any of my messages when I reached out. Done with this practice and moved out of the city and will be finding a new person! Would not recommend Dr. Reddy at all. Pros- the office is super clean and the woman who takes your blood is amazing . read more

I inquired as new patient and was very much going to join the practice until the experience I had with the person answering their emails- Tiffany. She could not have been more rude and condescending. She completely dismissed me and did not answer any of my questions and only responded condescendingly when I reasked my unanswered questions. I first used Leaf Medical (Long Island City) for an annual checkup, which was fine since I scheduled it a few weeks in advance. However, I've been sick twice since and they were unable to get me in either time. Not just the same-day, but I couldn't get in for an entire week. What's the point of having a primary care doctor if they don't save any actual time in the schedule for people who are actually sick?
