We had an appointment this weekend at league of rebels. They were very nice even though we were 30 minutes late due to issues missing the bus. This is a very high end location. I felt very taken care of and could see there were many options for both off the rack suits or custom. Although we did not make a decision, we felt the service was excellent. I came in this morning and was looking for a price range between 200-300. Not realizing that the store's price range was much higher. I'm not rating this place because of quality but more about customer service. The Sales Manager there told me that there was nothing in the Austin area with that price range for suits. Which is false. I was deeply offended when he said I should go to Goodwill and pick out something there instead if I was looking at my price range. And then he offers me some suits that are on sale which he could work with me. I tried on a few jackets but at this point I was upset and how he spoke to me as a customer and even as a person, I decided to give my business elsewhere. I purchased a Rebel Box and a few custom masks as a gift. The respond that I received was "THIS IS AMAZING" and "I will actually wear all of them, they're that good". Plus, the store itself was both relaxing and inviting. They did a fabulous job with layout and decor. I was stunned that they also had an area for haircuts and such. Unfortunately this place doesn't put out a quality product. I was in town and custom order a pair of their shoes. When they showed up they were two sizes too small (perhaps they were small because the guy working there was drinking scotch at 11am). After two hours of wearing them the tassel snapped. I sent them back and they said they could be fixed, took a while (months) but they arrived at my house fixed. After 1 day the tassel snapped again. This time they claimed that I cut it and they would neither fix it or refund the item. BE CAREFUL BUYING CUSTOM items at this store. I wouldn't trust or recommend them. I am happy to have them fixed for a second time as opposed to getting a refund but they were returned to me unfixed. Please contact me if you are willing to fix them. It's a cheap shoe (I don't need the $200 back) would rather have the shoe fixed. read more

Bought a not-inexpensive bow tie from LoR, wore it once, put it in the closet for a year, and the edges were all frayed when I took it out to wear it a second time. LoR wouldn't do anything to help. So tired of this kind of service. My response to management comment below: Sergei, you can't "fix" that type of fraying. And given that I wore the tie ONCE, it is absurd to say that the fraying was due to use and not a product defect. Don't deflect blame back on your customers. read more

I was lucky to walk by the LoR pop up shop while in the Domain a while ago. I subsequently made an appointment at the 2nd flagship and the experience has been absolutely top notch. Ato and Jonathan are excellent to deal with and really are on top of the customer experience. The quality of the clothing is absolutely top notch. The build quality and cloth is as good as you can find. I have worn the first few custom shirts I had made several times and the fit is perfect. The turnaround time is also minimal. I was visiting from the SF Bay Area this weekend with my family and League of Rebels was the unexpected find that exceeded expectations. Rodney took time to familiarize me with their options of high quality fabrics and weaves and I left with slacks, shirt, and two new ties that are uniquely tailored to my style. And, at a price that I would deem reasonable right alongside what I might have spent at Nordstrom's for off the rack items that everyone else owns. But the best part by far, is the sense of hospitality as I brought in my two toddler sons and they graciously hosted us without making myself or my wife self conscious about their being messy or poorly behaved. There was follow up with antibacterial spray without complaint. I have reason to return to ATX periodically and have decided that League of Rebels will be a part of my signature wardrobe suppliers. It's surprisingly difficult to find a high-quality suit in Austin for a reasonable price. Over the past few months my search for a wedding suit took me to nearly every reputable suit store in Austin: Bonobos, Dandy's, Capra & Cavelli, Gassane Tailors. At Bonobos, everything was clearly machine-made and lacked the details of higher-end suits (they only have half-canvas, non-functional sleeve buttons, etc). Gassane Tailors are overpriced, also machine-made (despite what they might tell you) when you go with their MTM option, and suffer from the same problems as Bonobos. And Dandy's and Capra & Cavelli are both wildly overpriced for what they are. I was nearly ready to give up, when I walked into the League of Rebels pop-up shop off of 2nd St. League of Rebels is a "diamond in the rough". Their off-the-rack options alone are head-and-shoulders above both Bonobos and Gassane in terms of construction quality. You get Super 120 100% wool, handstitched finish, functional buttons - the works. If you want a full canvas and to pick a better fabric / lining, however, you'll need to go with their "custom" option (two week turnaround). Already, though, we're getting into Capra & Cavelli territory for a fraction of the price. You simply won't find suits for the kind of quality that you'll get at LoR for the price point. Last but not least, the main salesman (his name is "Ato") at the pop-up shops is very professional and a pleasure to deal with. Unlike some of the snarkyness you'll find at places like Capra Cavelli and Dandy's, Ato is patient, unpretentious, and straighforward. He doesn't waste your time and doesn't try to coax you into buying something that isn't a good fit (*cough* Gassane *cough*). All in all he makes the suit-buying experience a lot more enjoyable, and is one of the main reasons why I'm recommending League of Rebels to my friends and the people of Yelp. read more

I visited League of Rebels store when I was in Austin for a conference. Must say, I was ready impressed from the get go! My husband loves his quality wool suits and I wanted to surprise him. I bought him a Glendale suit and a few Bixby shirts. Wasn't sure of the his proper size, but the store manager really helped me through it and in the end we were able to pick he perfect pieces. My hubby was really impressed when I surprised him with a new outfit. It fit like a glove!!
