Coco was the first therapist who not only heard what I was saying but figured out precisely where my body was failing me. There are plenty of well-trained massage therapists who will deliver the textbook experience, but in over 20 years of various deep tissue, Thai, shiatsu, etc. massages, I can count on one hand the number of therapists with this uncanny ability to find the exact pressure points that need release. Coco is that rare person and I'd recommend her wholeheartedly. I was sore, to be sure, but that night I slept without pain for the first time in months. I booked with Vincent for my third visit after reading reviews about his ability with shoulder pain specifically. After two visits with Vincent over the course of 3 -4 months, my shoulder pain has gone away. Crazy thing is I don't even know when it went away. But I do know that after both visits I felt better circulation. Something, I can't say what exactly, but something always felt better. I did like the first two therapists and felt I was on the right track with sports massage, but I had the best connection with Vincent. In addition to my own athletic training, it is essential for me to recover with assistance from a bodywork professional. Ruth worked on my whole entire body, getting into the nitty gritty micro muscles that don't get the attention needed when I stretch alone. She is very detail oriented; she works in intricate places and on muscles I've never had worked on by other therapists I've seen. I frequently get massages and when I've seen other therapists they tend to focus the majority of the session on the back and she spent even amounts of time in all places: neck, chest, hips, front and back of my legs, and my scalp. The moment you walk in, she creates a relaxing atmosphere for you to get away from the world for an hour or two. She put a perfect amount of pressure, creating that "good pain" feeling. Ruth is also a great listener. I know many people enjoy relaxing during the session, but I tend to talk during the body work because I'm a chatterbox. Ruth allows and welcomes that. I honestly think she'd make a great therapist with the type of wisdom she drops. I always value what she has to say and I find her presence alone very warm and safe.
