Spoke to the assistant manager and everything sounds great. I specifically asked about availabilities on the phone before I make this tour appointment. I clearly explained to the manager which days I need coverage for my child. Everything sounded great on the phone so we decided to take a tour of the place before we start enrollment. I got there 15 minutes early with my toddler. The manager asked me to sign in and after take a seat, my child and I sat there almost half an hour before the manager came back and told us there was no availability and there's no reason in taking the tour, but she would love to put us on the waiting list.. I mean good God that's not what I was told on the phone. Just a waste of time. This was certainly unprofessional. Moving forward please improve communication.

When we first enrolled, as new parents, we were scared to leave our kids with anyone. Now the staff is like family! From management to the teachers, they are so loving and compassionate. I actually can not picture our children anywhere else and we have held off on moving from the area based solely on the fact that we love EG tutor time so much. if you're shopping around for a facility, go meet the staff and take a tour. I'm not sure where or how a negative review can be written about this place, but if you're lucky enough to get a spot, you won't regret it!

I've been here 4 or 5 times at this point and have had a very good experience overall. One thing I…read morelike about the place is, obviously, the price. It's super reasonable to get a haircut here because they are students. On top of that, it feels like a salon (although there are students working on their dummy heads to practice). They have a separate wash room that is a bit more serene and a busy salon floor. The students are generally friendly and eager. They are also supervised by a learning leader (I've noticed there are usually at least two, often three, walking the floor at all times). I think most of the time the students are good about checking in with their learning leader if they're unsure about how to do something. (My two cents: There is a male learning leader with short dark hair who is especially good with the students.) If something is too complicated for a student, the learning leader models how to do it. I did have a student sort of rush, but only once. I still walked out with a good cut, although I think she should have checked in with her learning leader before moving ahead with a part of the cut. She also "styled" by hair with the straightener, which cost $8 more than the $12 cut I was expecting, so that was sort of unpleasant. I'm sure I could have spoken up and had that fee removed since I didn't want the styling, but I didn't feel like getting into it. If I had one suggestion, it would be that the school offered either a physical or digital comment card so that customers could leave feedback for the students. It's not asked for in any way, which seems weird to me considering the learning aspect, and if it were to be asked, I'd rather write it down than have a potentially awkward conversation with the student. That being said, I am really happy with the Paul Mitchell School and will continue to go back for my my cuts, especially since I get pretty simple styles (although I've seen them do great, more complicated stuff on other clients getting work done). I started going here because my coworker's daughter attended the school and she was getting her (great) hair done there (and I was hearing good things about their program from my coworker). I haven't gone anywhere else since.

You walk into the student bathroom and people are in tears about how horrible it is. And how they waisted 24 THOUSAND dollars. They can't keep staff because they treat them like absolute garbage. Admin is nothing but rude and do not care about anyone. You learn how to do nails on a paper. They stopped doing all services other than hair. No nails,waxing or pedicures. On top of it all, my parents made a check to them and it bounced! I will say they fixed the problem within 48 hours but the problem should not have occurred. They bash other cosmetic schools because "they teach more" no they do not. Go somewhere cheaper and kinder to students and staff

The owner charged me $500 for 2 kids to take four 30-minute semi private lessons (when both kids were swimming, one sat on the steps while the other got instruction, so they basically only got to swim for 15 minutes each). I later learned that Ashley charges roughly that same amount for each kid to get their own four private 30-minute lessons! I asked about this discrepancy and the owner ignored the query for several weeks. When she did call me directly, she just said this was the policy and refused my request for a refund. (FWIW, I initially only communicated to her via text message because she was recommended by a friend; she never sent me any company policy information until after I had paid.) AVOID!

In fact they kinda like it. Actually, they really like it. And for that I blame Ashley. We were recommended to her by an adult friend who worked with her to improve his own swimming. But Ashley is great with kids. Now my children are pool safe. I can trust that they can fall in a pool and not drown. We are not a terribly athletic family, so we have no Olympic dreams. Still, the kids continue to work with Ashley to get stronger and stronger in the pool. Maybe if she were meaner like the swim teachers of my youth, the kids might progress a little faster. But it's also possible their slow progress is just genetic and based on the fact that outside of their time with Ashley they spend almost all of their hours on dry land. On the practical side, Ashley is great to work with and has been exceedingly flexible with my crazy schedule, and I appreciate that immensely. But that nice to the kids thing? That's still hard to take.
