No luck so far. like, i said, i vividly remember so many horrible things this man said and did under the guise of "driving instruction." i was 18 years old and didnt say a word the whole class because i was so enraged. heres a small list, in no particular order: - a japanese woman walks in before the class officially starts. he stops what he's doing, points at her, and says, "let me guess! chinese?" when she, obviously stunned, politely corrects him (with a level of patience currently unparalleled in human history), he immediately starts going off on a rant about PEARL HARBOR. - there was also a pretty large woman in attendance that night. rinko loudly asked her if she wanted TWO CHAIRS. when she said no, he asked AGAIN and went off about how much of a "nice guy" he is, and how any woman is desperate for a guy like him. -this was in like january 2017 so he also went on an impromptu rant about how "the People voted trump" (the people did not vote trump. trump lost the popular vote.) the class has not even started yet, by the way. here's what he had to say about women: -he points to every man in the room (including me) (i am not a man) (well, i wasnt at the time) (anyway) he points to every man in the room, including me, and then he says "you all have one weakness when it comes to driving." and then he puts to every woman in the room (except the fat one. i was paying attention). he proceeds to spend a solid thirty-seconds mimicking an awestruck man staring out the window at, presumably, all the hotshot babes you find wandering the streets of rural upstate new york before getting into a violent crash, and then acts like this is the height of wisdom when it comes to teaching students how not to be distracted while driving -he said women had better not get into car crashes, because then they'll "never get a date again" -followed by him showing the infamous "women drivers" youtube clip -he described in graphic detail how facial injuries from windshield glass make women unattractive thirty years later, when those five hours finally came to an end, John Rinko proudly spent a good few minutes demonstrating his use of legible cursive writing when telling us how to do our signatures. He became vastly offended if anyone insinuated that he was maybe Polish instead of Russian. (I'm a quarter Polish and have to wonder just what's so wrong about that.) He took great pride in making sure that we all knew his name. So I will make sure to use it when I call John Rinko an extremely horrible man, and an even worse driving instructor. So finally after reading the reviews online I have decided to contact Ronny at Albany Driving School for my third road test. Within 5 minutes of starting my driving lesson with him, I realized that he is heads and shoulders better than the other company. He immediately started to point out flaws in my driving and taught me how to exactly hone my skills so that I can get a perfect score on the road test. Ronny is all about perfection. He will work with you over and over again until you get it right 100%. Even 98% is not enough for him. This can scare a lot of people off, but if you need to pass the road test, you absolutely need to be perfect and Ronny is the guy who would continue to work with you until you perfect your driving skills. While any other instructor will reserve their feedback or give up if you keep getting it wrong, Ronny will keep on your case until you get it right. Honestly I cannot imagine a better driving instructor out there. If you need to pass your road test and are on the fence about taking lessons from Ronny, let me tell you that if you do, it will be the best decision you could possibly make. If you spend sufficient time practicing with him, he will make sure you pass. He will not give up on you and genuinely wants you to succeed. I passed my third road test all because of Ronny and I would highly recommend him to anyone who can take constant feedback and act upon it to improve it.

The only problem was that he never actually ever let him take the wheel by himself and drive the car. He does charge $50 a lesson which is a good price but he needs to allow people to actually learn how to drive and actually feel with the vehicle feels like or else they're never going to understand how to drive a vehicle. My son spent $300 and really didn't know much more than when he started which to me was concerning. but what was more concerning to me was when my son was coming to me telling me that he would have to stop during the middle of his our session I'm driving so that the instructor or the owner of the company could go drop paperwork off at his place of business I believe it was. Does seem to be a reoccurring thing happening more often while he was driving on his lesson. Now if you take 5 minutes to go run something into an office and come back out to a vehicle and you do that 12 times that's an hour that you paid for and you didn't drive. From the moment the lesson began, the instructor was extremely rude and aggressive in his tone. He made the experience very tense, and showed no patience or professionalism. I chose not to say anything during the session in hopes of avoiding further conflict. However, things escalated when the lesson ended. Rather than dropping me off, he began lecturing me based on a note in his system stating I had requested no further cancellations. I calmly pointed out that his issue should be with whoever left that note, not me. At that point, he said he was the "chief" and claimed to own several schools. He showed me his tablet, saying I was "booked at Busy" (whatever that means), and dismissed saying they don't care about reviews. When I said I'd be seeking a refund, he became aggressive. He began shouting, cursing at me, and then shockingly told me to get out of his car. As I was getting out, he used a homophobic slur and when I called out his behaviour, he threatened me with, "I'll bust your face." This experience was beyond unacceptable -- it was abusive. No customer should ever be treated this way, let alone threatened or subjected to slurs. I strongly advise against booking any lessons with this individual or this school until they take accountability for this type of behavior. If this man is truly in charge, it's clear the organization lacks any sense of professionalism or basic human decency. I am scared since this person has my address and details.
