Exceptional service! I had such a great visit into the store today, I had to write about it. Not only did the young guy helping me give me some great gift ideas, but Learning Express beautifully wraps gift items for free!! Wrapping the gift saves my sanity because wrapping is my least favorite thing to do. I hope this store stays open forever -- it's my go-to for bday gifts. They have stuff you'll never find at Walmart's & Targets. I like to say they have REAL TOYS. Toys, games, and crafts that will last and be remembered for a lifetime. I really love this store. It has something for all ages. They personalize items purchased there, make birthday goodie bags, have complimentary gift wrapping (with purchase) and it's cute too! They have a table up front that usually has great themed items together, for example: summer or like right now, back to school. They also offer birthday boxes for kids birthdays. It allows kids to pick parent approved items for birthday gifts that way when someone asks what your kid wants for their birthday, you can tell them that they have a birthday box at Learning Express, pretty clever if you ask me! This store has tons of stuffed animals of all sizes. They have regular kids events, special visitors, and storytime with a very entertaining storyteller, small snack, followed by very fun kid friendly creative craft. But mostly the staff is amazing! They are always so friendly, eager to help, kind, and so sweet to our kids when we go in. This is my go to place for birthday presents, they do so much for others, I want to support them too! read more

After my family did a toy fundraiser for our local Children's Hospital, I called Learning Express for help getting the best items for sick kiddos. The owners were absolutely the best!! Not only did they pull 20-30 items off the shelves to show us what we might consider for our $400, they wrapped them ALL, AND donated an extra $200 in toys to our cause!! It's not easy finding a good toy store that just sells plastic junk from China. Occasionally you will walk into a quality store that sells items that either challenge you, forces creativity or the crazy notion that you actually have to assemble something for once. Here is the place for you, if you are one to think outside the box. Even though it is in a fairly higher end retail area the prices are not out of range for affordability. I think it is because they have several options and keep the opportunity to make a sell with every walk in. Great toy store! Organized by age so it's easy to find what you are looking for! They even personalize certain items for you for free! Family owned, love giving them our business! Can't wait till story time is back! Always a fav with our 2 year old! The open play areas also helped us pick out Christmas ideas for him last year. Very friendly staff and replies to emails quickly! I was looking for Elf on the Shelf products but everywhere was either sold out or not in stock. They had some on sale at 50% off! I was very pleased when they emailed me that they had the "Letters to Santa" still on sale. They even had it transferred from the Quarry location by next day for free! We love this store and their friendly, helpful staff. I've taken my granddaughter there for several years and it's been such a fun experience for her. Over the years, we have especially enjoyed story time each week. They provide snacks, stories with a common theme and a craft afterward to reinforce the stories which were read. My granddaughter likes to pick out toys for her birthday box, so friends and family can quickly find her a birthday gift when they come in. They offer free gift wrapping and free personalizations. Also, they provide special events for the children. If you're in the area with some time to kill, you might want to swing by and take your kiddo - you won't be disappointed! read more

The best toy store I've been to in Bulverde or San Antonio! I always find something amazing in here for all the kids and teens in my family! Unlike most toy stores, this location has unique, one of a kind finds. Instead of the mass produced, boring toys you find at many of the large chain stores, you are able to find unique treasures in here. Not to mention the customer service is really great. There is always an employee that comes up and asks if they can help me find what I'm looking for in any way, every time I visit. I will continue telling people in my community of this great find! The staff here is amazing! Immediately they ask if you need any help finding anything, they have free gift wrapping, are very knowledgeable, and even if one of the staff isn't fully aware of all of the knowledge on a product they will get you a staff member who knows. They go above and beyond for me. The manager Lara, constantly searches every place she can to find you what you need. Become a vip by sign up with your name and email and you can get discounts and coupons!!!! They have grandparent's discounts which is amazing, helps me out so much! From what I understand their system is coded to give these discounts after you sign up as VIP which I don't mind I only get 1 or 2 emails a month. They have wonderful employees too, Peggy is a great artist she painted piggy banks for my grandkids and they were beautifully done. Maddy was great at helping me get gifts for the girls, every Christmas its wonderful. Their building is always clean, if it gets dirty or a kid has an accident they clean it up right away. read more
