This is a traditional club and the atmosphere is exactly that. The locker rooms are dimly lit, include a sitting room, and are furnished with antiques. The bar has plenty of wood panels and antique prints. But don't be fooled -- the members are not stuffy at all. This is a group of fun, easy-going, and welcoming people. I've stopped by this shop several times, and though I'm a beginner, the person I go with is pretty experienced. But for some reason, every time we came here, I felt like the owner did not want to help us. I don't know what it was, because I'm generally super polite when I first meet people - especially if I need help. I don't want to assume, but for whatever reason, the staff here was extremely unfriendly to us every time we stopped by. And I noticed this even more a couple of times when the owner was helping other customers in the store - and being extra nice to them. Even other beginners. I just felt really unwanted and out of place. I'm not going to repeat the rude things the owner said to us, but it was very clear he didn't want our business. I'm really disappointed especially since there isn't an abundance of tennis and squash shops around.

When he left, the drink left with him (by mutual agreement), and while he generously shared the recipe with me, I've never quite managed to recreate it at home. They have some great places to shop and dine and Sycamore is one of them. We have been here multiple times and everytime is better than the last. From the Managers greeting to the service, and atomosphere, Sycamore sure knows how to make customers feel seen and heard and their bellies happy :) We came here after attending a wine tasting not far from here and were able to grab some bar seats. They have a great cocktail and wine list; I always have a hard time choosing just one. I went with a vodka drink called Nothing Rhymes Orange and my husband had a beer. Since we were not that hungry he ordered the Chorizo Croquettas and I had my favorite salad in the world (not kidding) their Kale Salad. Let me just tell you 1. if you don't like kale, you will love this salad. Just the way they make it and the flavors/crunch will make your mouth water 2. you will eat the whole thing. 3. trust me. If there is one app that you need to order its the chorizo croquettas, OMG. They are like little small drops of heaven and there are only 3 so if you plan to share I would recommend ordering more than just one. For dessert, we ordered an Espresso Martini. Came here with mediocre expectations …read more.. Boy way I wrong! First off, Evan was incredibly delightful. Knowledgeable, friendly but didn't hover. I would like him to be my waiter everywhere. Every ounce of food was incredible: we eat out a lot and I have to say, the seared foie was my favorite thing in awhile. We had escargot, foie and carpaccio. All incredible. Our meals were epic as well. We got duck and branzino. Both the best I've had of their kind. We will be putting this on our rotation of special event restaurants. It's worth it.

The other appetizer we ordered was called Dumplings croustillants au poet epics. This was actually worse than first appetizer. I like lemongrass, but MAN the lemongrass was so overpowering.
