Had sofa with scuffs from moving, Chris did an Amazing job, on a difficult leather too match. I couldn't be happier with the repair. Professional and prompt, highly recommended.

Looking down at top of right end of couch and back pillow before

We spent the holidays with our son in Tempe, and were shocked to find that his leather couch had been nearly destroyed by his rescue dog Luna. We had thought it might be beyond repair, but found Chris through Yelp reviews. Chris spent most of the day on the repair to both arms and the back cushion and back of the couch (the cushions are sewn in and not removable, making the work even more difficult). In addition, he conditioned the leather throughout the couch. He was easy to reach by texting and phone, and showed up on time. He did the work onsite, which was nice too. We thought the price was reasonable, considering the effort and time it took. Chris also advised our son on ways to deter his dog from damaging the couch again, but made no guarantees on that - we'll see! Chris can legitimately wear the mantle of The Leather Guru. We can't recommend him enough, and our son is thrilled with his Christmas present.

Rip from kids using couch as a slide

Thank you, Chris for fixing my couch. It looks great and I am looking forward to getting many more years of use. Chris was able to repair the rips on my leather sectional that appeared because my young children were using it as a slide. For the past 7 years, anytime we had people over, I had to strategically place blankets over these tears. I can't believe it took me this long to get them repaired. If you are in need of leather furniture repair, I highly recommend Leather Guru.

Chris did an amazing job. It's hard to believe it's the same sofa. He repaired a cushion the dog chewed and re-dyed a very badly faded sofa to like new!!

Chris is amazing! He fixed scratches in my new white leather couch and you cannot even tell. It's better than new! Prompt, polite and fastidious. I'll definitely be using him again and recommending him to friends and family.

    Absolutely amazing work by Chris!!!

We adopted a dog that tore the arm of our very high end couch to shreds. I called several companies that turned me down and told me we would be better off just replacing the couch. I called Chris and he was willing to take on the job! He is very gifted at what he does. Our couch looks new again! You would never know it was damaged. I can't thank him enough for saving our favorite piece of furniture!! He exceeded our expectations!!

Cushions with the new foam inside. Looks amazing! Prior to, all the material in the front was sagging and squished down.

We gave Chris a call about our 3 year old couch. The cushions had completely gone flat and needed to be restuffed. Within a few days he was able to get us a quote we were comfortable with and have them stuffed and ready to pick up. He also made sure the new foam was higher quality then what came with the couch originally and explained why this was. He perfectly fit the new foam inside the covers so we wouldn't deal with sagging material anymore. We were really impressed with his craftsmanship and professionalism. Plus he was really easy going, we never felt we were dealing with an obnoxious sales person who just wants you to get the most expensive product. We'll definitely be giving him a call for our matching chair cushion once it needs the foam replaced.

We called the Leather Guru (Chris) after I used an inferior leather cleaner to polish up two leather swivel chairs.

I had all my cabinets and vanities stripped and refinished by Tom, Greg and their people…read more They were booked out a couple months for in home refinishing but I brought the vanities (2 Vanities and 1 hall cabinets) and they got them all out before my deadlines. They were honest and kept me informed throughout the process and even tried to move me up by several weeks on the kitchen in home part, but I was sick. The staff were all friendly and professional and respectful of me and my home. They were almost always on time or early, one day they had to reschedule the refinishing due to crew illness but called me the night before. The pricing was very competitive so keep that in mind if you want it now, they are very busy! They are one of the only places with an actual stripping dip tank. They told me they are looking for new property to move to as they have sold the land where they currently are so while relocating things may get bumpy but a new facility will allow for higher volume! I will definitely return for future projects!

I was referred to Tom and Allisons Wood Finishing, come to find out it was under new ownership,…read moreJoe. Still gave them a shot. I used Joe for a somewhat large project, refinishing the cabinets in 2 bathrooms, a hallway built-in linen closet and a guest house bathroom and kitchenette. The quality of the actual paint job was good. Scheduling and coordinating were rough, a 2 day job turned into a 5 day job when some crew didnt show up and left 1 guy alone for a day, and another day was lost because they didnt have the cabinet hardware available and needed to order from Amazon, despite knowing weeks ahead of time we wanted soft close door hinges added. But could have lived with that. The really unfortunate thing, was cleanliness. The mess was absolutely horrible. I stressed beforehand how sensitive my wife is to dust, and Joe assured me dust wouldn't be an issue but that the paint smell could be strong. We could deal with paint smell, dust was our concern. One of the bathrooms was a Jack and Jill bathroom, with a door from the bathroom leading into my daughter's room and another into a toy room. No drop clothes were used, no plastic, they left the door into my daughter's room wide open while they sprayed the cabinets. There was literally overspray dust 2mm thick throughout my daughter's entire room. Her bedding, the carpet, the wall art, her stuffed animal collection, her lego collection. She was devastated. How do you clean lego sets with that much dust? Similar throughout the other areas... they left doors open while they sprayed, and there was so much dust accumulation that it took 3 days and over a thousand dollars to clean up between cleaners and carpet cleaners. We had to purchase some specialty filters for areas in the home to get the dust out of the air, and my wife's lungs were wrecked. They were also paid to drill new holes in the cabinet doors for new knobs. They left a pile of wood dust in every single drawer they drilled a hole for. I called Joe and he was adamant that this was not how they do things, he wants to make it right, etc. I sent him pictures, he said he would get back to me. He didn't. I had to follow up again nearly 3 weeks later asking what the deal was. He did respond, and offered me a very small refund "for the additional time spent cleaning". It wouldn't have covered even 25% of what I spent to clean up after them.
