Lebec Road Service saved us this evening. We drove a GMC Yukon Denali on I-5 and pulled off into Lebec to fuel our vehicle. After fueling up, we attempted to put the vehicle in drive. However, the column moved loosely, and the car would not go into gear. Upon my description over the phone, Lebec knew exactly what was wrong, and said he would be right there approx (30-45mins faster, and cheaper then tow). I had called some other mechanics who said they were too busy, didn't want to go, or told me they would help me in the morning. Lebec roadside managed to patch us up well enough to get us back to work on the road. We will see another mechanic for the needed part in the morning as He told us to. my Grandaughter attendsa ASU in Tempe. on her way down there from Tacoma Wa she stopped to take a 30 minute nap. when she woke up at 5:00am, her car wouldnt start. she called me, i started making phone calls and Michelle from Lebac towing actually answere the phone. i truly think she felt worse about this whole thing than i did, she got ahold of wade and he made it to my daughters car and had her up and running within an hour. im truly gratefull for this kind of service. untill your put into this kind of scenario you cannot realize how hopeless this makes you feel. thank you so much Michelle and Wade, i really appreciate it. Without a doubt the most incompetent mechanic I've ever came across. So I was stranded on the side of the I-5 south bound. Serpentine belt came off. I had no tools to fix and a highway patrolman came and told me to Give these guys a call. Called and I got service 4 hours later which is not a big deal even though I was sweating because it's was 106 in the grapevine but it's my fault for not bringing my own tools and parts just incase. The mechanic then brought pullies and didn't know how to get the belt on. He ended up ripping the belt and I got frustrated (after telling him at least 10 times all you need you to do is take the tension off the tensioner pulley) so to top it off I ended up putting my old belt on while He smoked a cigarette and then he charged me $350 for it. That was just criminal what he did and it wasn't right. I guess thanks for letting me use your 17 socket for 350 bucks. read more

Yet, after changing the tire, he found a major problem in our leaf spring. If it wasn't for him looking thoroughly at the chassis, we could have had more issues than we bargained for. We were towing a heavy RV for the first time when an electrical issue caused us to stop our trip at a rest stop pff the 5 freeway. i undid the last mechanics 'fix' which seemed to cause a short while i waited for Wade. HUGEEE shoutout to Wade, our savior. If you're stuck on the side of the highway and reading this, call Lebec! Also, check your tire for a nail. If the nail is positioned on the flat/bottom side of the tire (and NOT the side), then you can get it patched instead of looking for a replacement, this will open up your options for service. We were stuck on the side of the 5 with a flat on Thursday a couple hours before sundown. AAA is useless (they don't bring tires, do tire changes, patches, only tow your car where you tell them), and all the tire repair places around the "area" (which was the middle of nowhere) were closed either due to their business hours or covid, except for Lebec Road Service! We were desperate to get home to NorCal for an important family event the following day and needed immediate roadside service. Everywhere we called from Santa Clarita to Bakersfield, nobody carried a tire in the same size as our Tesla Model 3. Lebec Road Service had a used Tesla Model 3 tire THANKFULLY!! they were fast to answer calls, had great communication, and checked their tire stock fairly quickly. They had dispatched their repairman out to save us. It was 1 hour of anxious waiting in the car between our call to Lebec til Wade pulled up in a giant truck behind us, but definitely WORTH THE WAIT. After some inspection, Wade thought patching up our current tire was better for us than replacing it. He did the work on the side of the highway in the dark, it took 1 hour. Wade is very knowledgeable and has lots of experience, it also gave us a sense of comfort that he himself had a Model 3, so he knew exactly how the car worked. We were 2 elderly ladies driving south last December when I hit a rock on the road and got a flat tire just after I 5 merged with Hwy 99. It was raining heavily and foggy. Managed to get to the nearby Rest Area and called AAA. They didn't have a truck in the area and could not offer any help. To our good fortune, a Good Samaritan named Anthony contacted Lebec Road Service. Michelle called around to see if they could find a replacement tire. Several hours later she called to say they had found a spare that would fit. Only after he knew that we were going to get help did our Good Samaritan continue on his journey. Soon after Wade showed up and changed the tire in the pouring rain and then jump charged my battery. Michelle called the next day to make sure we had gotten to our destination safely. I don't know if it was the Christmas spirit but we could not have met nicer people willing to help us. Thanks again, Michelle and Wade. On my way to Portland, OR from LA, and my tire blew out one hour into the 16 hour drive. It was about 5:30am when this happened. I decided to changed out all of my tires just in case. The mechanic got out here early in the morning and changed the tires in great time. It's one of the few roadside services I could find that was open 24/7. I made it home! Thanks girls! Coming down the grapevine from LA, and was not careful with my brakes, and the car started to shake when I brake or even slow down. I got worried, pulled over to the gas station just outside of Bakersfield, and started calling AAA. AAA was 50 miles away, and it was already almost midnight. What should I do? I got really worried. So I called these guys. Then my life changed for the better. It's almost like the sky opened up with a shining light! The lady on the phone was sooooo nice she helped me diagnosed the car on the phone asked me what happened to the car, told me what could be wrong, and told me they can probably come look but might not have the parts to fix it, but if I don't speed I can make it home 300 miles away. I broke down on interstate 5 where I needed a tow so I got scammed by a company called all American Mobile Repair with a phone #1-800-699-6930 who stole 500 from me told me he was going to tow me and never arrived 6 hours later I had to call another tow truck that towed me to Frazier park ca so then I call two guys road service which they told me they would be there in a few minutes so five hours later two guys call me to let me know that they were not going to make it but thanks to them I got the number to Lebec Road Service where he said he would be there and he did he found the problem that the truck had but the parts were not available so he drove all the way to Bakersfield to get them came back and fixed my truck and got me on my way thank you Lebec Road Service!!! read more

I'm gonna start by saying I NEVER write yelp reviews for anyone ever but this is my exception bc these people were literal angels to me on one of the scariest nights of my life. I was driving up to San Francisco to visit my family a few nights ago and popped a tire on the grapevine at 9 pm. I am a just-turned-20 year old girl who has never had this happen to me before. I was terrified and spent 40 min on the side of the I-5 waiting for AAA to put on my spare, meanwhile my dad found Wade and told me to go wait at the Carl's Jr. a few min away to wait for him. Again, I was TERRIFIED. I didn't know this man and I barely had cell reception and was on the verge of tears but Wade and Michelle are incredible!! Michelle was so sweet and soothing on the phone and told me what to do to stay safe, (she honestly calmed me down and made me feel so much better and I don't think she even knew how helpful she was so thank you Michelle) and when Wade showed up he was sweet and so helpful. I followed him back to his house (thank you Wade for always checking to make sure I was following behind you since I could only go 50 on the spare tire) I met Michelle and his daughter and they were so kind and welcoming despite it being 10:30 at night when I interrupted their evening, offering me food and water and coffee and being so understanding and kind Wade fixed my tire easily and was friendly and talkative the whole time, and checked my other tires and I was able to get back on the road and get to San Francisco safely thanks to him. I still am on the tire which is working amazingly and I cannot fully express how grateful to him and his lovely family I am So many bad things can happen to a woman in a broken car in the middle of nowhere at night, and thanks to Wade and Michelle I made it home safe and sound and I am so so so so thankful to them for that. What an incredible company! We're full-time travelers, on the road for 5yrs, and this was by far the best mobile service we've experienced. Incredibly fast getting to us as our MotorCoach's engine started giving us problems in the middle of the night. When it wasn't going to be a same night fix, they made sure our family was safe and secure. Even thought to ask if we had toilet paper! They went out of their way the next morning to find the parts needed for repair. To no avail. Parts were ordered and overnighted, and they again made the trek to go pick them up. Had a very trying track day at Buttonwillow Raceway. I attempted to limp home to OC in my '89 BMW 325i track car with a failing power steering system. Fluids gushing everywhere, smoke billowing from the engine bay, I decided not to push the car any further as the Grapevine might as well been the Himalayas at that point. No way was the car going to make it up the hill. I spent the night in Lebec (unfamiliar territory) and found Lebec Road Service with the Google Machine, the next morning (a Sunday). I didn't want to chance the power steering pump seizing and snapping a belt (that would have been the end of my motor). Spoke to Wade early in the morning. Explained I had a pretty serious leak in the power steering system. No idea where it's coming from and getting worse. Wade quoted me a fair estimate AND STUCK TO IT!!! He came right out to my hotel and found the leak. At first he tried to patch the hole that was located in a very inconspicuous spot at the bottom of the reservoir. It didn't work. There was no way to get a replacement part that day, but Wade came through with an ingenious idea. He threaded a brass fitting into the reservoir and covered the hole. He is a true mechanic and definitely knows his stuff. I have no fears of breaking down in Bakersfield. Wade is my go to guy in the area! read more
