Tia and Fernando were amazing to work with. When they came over to quote our patio they really thought through our best options and explained the pros and cons. After that Tia updated us regularly and explained how weather can impact the timing of the job. Of course, we had no moisture in April and the week our patio was scheduled we had rain. The day of, Fernando came over in the morning to take a look, make sure our ground wasn't too wet, talked through some things and let us know he'd be back after they finished the other job. That afternoon they were able to complete our patio. He also came back the next day to take and look, they pressured washed around the patio and raked our mulch back into place. When we have more concrete work we'll be calling Ledezma!

If you have a need for concrete, Ledezma is the company to use. From planing our project, to demo and pouring our new patio, Fernando and Tia were amazing! Their communication was excellent and they were always in time.

Re-poured floor, finished with numerous expansion joints. Concrete isn't fully dried, hence the wet spot in the foreground.

We chose Ledezma Concrete because the initial meeting and follow up with Fernando and Tia was great.

And I called one other company for a second bid. David showed up in time for our appointment, and his explanation of the problem (80 year old mortar in our brick house was falling out). The previous owner had gotten some of it repaired. That mortar was failing, too. I was particularly concerned because one pillar that carries a heavy load was cracked so badly (see photo) that you could see daylight through it from top to bottom. David explained why it had failed, and how the repair work someone had done years ago made matters worse. His bid that was about the same price as the other firm, but his explanation -- and the bid itself -- were so clear that D. Masonry was my obvious choice. He provided me with proof of insurance, too, a request the other company ignored. They lived up to my high expectations. Watching them work, I realized that tuck pointing is a highly skilled craft, practically an art form. They took the time to mix and try a range of mortar colors. With their help, we selected the one they advised. Now that the new mortar has completely dried, I can see it is a perfect color match. The pillar I was so nervous about? They elaborately jacked up and stabilized things, so they could remove the pillar, which they disassembled completely, laying out all the bricks (with all the old mortar removed), so they could put them back exactly as they were, only sturdy now, and good as new. Masonry repairs -- done well -- simply disappear when the work is done, right? As long as I own this house, my gratitude for this job-well-done will live on.

The 20mil poly was now serving as a pool liner to the deluge of water that had occurred. In order to help move the water out, that liner had to be cut out and then the ground had to dry out before figuring out how to replace it. After contacting a few other companies, I met with Sebastian from HomeStrong. He walked through our crawl space (5' high) and determined how to best repair and get the place back to its original condition. We chose HomeStrong because Sebastian made us feel comfortable, showed us what we could expect and gave us a team who could get the job done the following week. And the pricing was very competitive. Also, it is a family owned company - having our own family business, we really like supporting other families with businesses too. We could not be happier with the results. The project took a little more than 3 days. The team - Daniel & Christian - took such great pride in their work that once the poly was installed, they took their shoes off every time to keep the ground clean! And the encapsulation is even BETTER than it was before. The products they use are top notch. AND the color is WHITE which makes everything look so clean!! A side note here: Not having had exposed ground under our home before, the difference in the humidity and coolness in the house was directly impacted by that exposed ground, even after drying it out for a month prior to reinstalling the encapsulation system. We had a difficult time getting the house to cool less than 73º. Once poly was replaced, the house immediately cooled down and was much more comfortable. Had no idea the impact the encapsulation had been providing! A big shout out and thank you to Sebastian, Daniel & Christian for helping us get our crawl space even better than before! Cannot say enough good things about HomeStrong - highly recommended!! (tried to add photos but it is not allowing it!)

A project of this scale on your biggest asset is daunting, but HomeStrong was great to work with and their work and subsequent clean-up was top notch! Israel is an excellent communicator and went above and beyond to address every question, concern and need. His crew was prompt, professional, trustworthy and did an outstanding job. The previous owners did quite a number on our driveway with their heavy trucks/equipment and the replacement looks fantastic. We had sunken steps which were creating quite an issue and Israel came up with the perfect solutions at a surprisingly inexpensive cost, which we were more than grateful for after buying a home that needs an extensive amount of repairs. I have worked in construction my whole career and have owned many homes in Colorado which means dealing with more contractors than I can ever count, and we're so pleased we selected the right man for the job. We have other projects coming up soon and will most definitely be calling A&E back to complete the work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! New pictures of dried concrete project will be posted soon.
