I have worked across the USA in 45 out of the 50 states, including Manufacturing Plants, Natural Gas Plants, and Power Plants. There have consistently been portable toilets and mobile hand washing stations available. Based on the demand and number of workers, there has always been a cleaning and pumping schedule for the company that owns and services these units. I have not encountered a situation like the current one involving Gilbert Environmental porta toilets rental at the Wolf Hollow Power Plant. There have been concerns regarding the cleanliness of the toilets and the functionality of the hand washing stations provided by Gilbert Environmental. The toilet rooms have not been cleaned since the project began on February 20, 2025, and as of March 24, 2025. This situation requires immediate attention for health and hygiene reasons. The project has approximately 150 personnel split into day and night shifts. A call was made to Gilbert Environmental based in Granbury, Texas, but no action was taken regarding our concerns about cleanliness. The soap dispensers at all wash stations are currently inoperative, necessitating the procurement of bottles of liquid soap by the project company to maintain proper hand hygiene for both workers and visitors. Despite the waste tanks of the toilets being pumped, an unpleasant odor persists due to inadequate cleaning of the interior walls and floors of the mobile toilet units. I am not only dissatisfied with the lack of service but also perplexed as to how the company expects not to be cited by state or federal laws and/or nonpayment under these circumstances. read more

Gilbert Environmental is amazing. I called them on a Tuesday to have my septic pumped and they had someone out there on Thursday. Dustin, the technician, was also amazing. Not only did he pump my septic system out, he educated me on how to properly maintain my septic in between my service company coming out to maintain my system. He explained by doing certain steps I could stretch out how often my septic needed to be pumped. He didn't have to do that but he went above and beyond. read more

I requested Port O Pot service for a construction site and have used Gilbert for years on my septic service. I LIKE shopping local small businesses! I called a week ago and was informed a team member would call me back. That was 6 days ago! I left messages 2 days ago and email as well. NADA! ZIP NOTHING I FINALLY got someone to answer the phone there and was told, :Its only been 6 days- we will get to you!" I called another firm in Stephenville and they will deliver tomorrow! Kinda of odd to go from writing restaurant reviews to a review of septic tank cleaning... But I guess it's all part of the food process. What I can tell you is this: Gilbert has been around a long time, since 1970 and it's going on three generations. The man who showed up is the grandson. We were very pleased not only with the service offered, but the information provided (this is our first septic system) during the visit. Standard YMMV disclaimer, but for our two 500 gallon septic tanks, the fee charged by Gilbert was the lowest of the 3 quotes we got. Oddly, we went right with Gilbert as they were the only one listed with the BBB, only later did we think to check with other companies. We were pleased that Gilbert was (still) the least expensive. Based on the level of service we received, we will certainly recommend Gilbert Environmental. Note: The only reason I did not give 5 stars ("As good as it gets!"), is that I have nothing to compare this service too, however I was 100% satisfied by the service. read more

Our septic backed up on a Saturday afternoon, I called and left a message for emergency service and received a return call from Matt in a short period. He sent Randal out who was very professional and did his very best to get our aerobic system going again. Our trash tank was in bad condition as well as our aerobic tank. I was home alone with our 4 kids while my husband was out of town. Our septic backed up and we could not use any plumbing. I called Gilbert's on Saturday, when they were closed, and they sent someone out right away. He was kind and helpful and I never felt like he was rushing through his work to hurry up and get back home. I dont know where to begin. Our septic backed up at 7pm and flooded the house. We have family in town and our plumbing is overflowing from every drain in the house. I called Gilbert Environmental and the owner was at my house within 45 minutes. He dug two deep holes in my yard (which was completely ok with me) and fixed the problem by 9 pm. We were both completely covered in mosquito bites. He told me that we didn't owe him anything since his company regularly serviced our septic (we just bought the house......and the backup was not their fault). He reluctantly accepted a payment from us which I wish had been more $. I can't say enough good things about this company. We are new in town and don't know many people and this man helped us out in a desperate time of need. To summarize, if I ever read negative feedback for Gilbert Environmental, or if I ever hear anyone say anything negative about Gilbert Environmental, I will immediately dislike that person and write them off.
